"Nice and Quiet"
Overall Resort Rating:
Very quiet resort that seems quite happy to stay that way. Plenty of good walks in the area (albeit very hilly) - particularly up to Alinas village and around the headland to a lovely little cove - be careful and take lots of water. You can hire good quality bikes from a place near Butterfly on the edge of the village for about 7 euros per 24hrs. We ate out every night and found the seven or eight different restaurants to be okay, not fantastic. All menus are practically identical with the same five Greek dishes. A recommendation is "Marias Snack shack", run by two sisters by a little bridge. Only open during the day, they sell a great selection of food - great greek salads. Shame they're not open in the evening though. The beach is pretty fabulous (saw it from the plane flying home and thought "wow where was that!" then realised it was where we had stayed! All in all a great relaxing place to stay.

"Agios Georgios north"
Overall Resort Rating:
The resort is really beautiful with a superb sandy beach and crystal clear with water sports if required. Anyone who takes the trouble to check out their holiday destination on the Internet before booking will choose to come here because of the lack of clubbing and late-night music bars so no nuisances from rowdyism etc. Luckily there are resorts on Corfu for all tastes. We enjoyed soaking up the sun, sipping cool drinks in a beach-front taverna, eating out in a rustic fish restaurant, and of course passing the time at 2 eagle's view tavernas on the cliffs at Afionas village.
If you enjoy walking in lovely countryside or just chilling out in a genuine Greek company then this is the place for you. Two weeks isn't enough to get it all in and the time flies.

"Agios Georgios North, Corfu - very small"
Overall Resort Rating:
The resort is exceptionally quiet and really nothing to do. There are no tourist shops at all, and about 3 small supermarkets. One week is plenty here as after that it would be very boring, unless of course you only like lying on a sun lounger all day anyway. There are about 4 or 5 other restaurants but as we were on the opening week of the season all but one of them was still shut. We tried one and it was disgusting - so we ate in the hotel every other night. There is a small bar called Maggies which looks a bit like a wooden hut if you turn right out of the hotel and keep walking. Maggie is tremendous and her food is great. We went a couple of lunch times. We hired a car for two days (Arillas Cars) and it was 75 Euros for 2 days. One word of advice - if you can please do yourself a favour and do your airport transfers by taxi. I already knew that the coaches could not get to the resort because they are too large and you have to change to a smaller coach, I think at San Stefanos. As the coach drops people off at every other resort along the way you will probably be the last dropff. I know it takes between 2 and a half to 3 hours to get to the hotel from the airport. I emailed the hotel and asked them to recommend a taxi company which they duly did and I booked it in advance. They were waiting for us as the airport. We landed at 12.20pm and were in the taxi on our way by 12.55pm. We arrived at the hotel at about 1.40pm and had unpacked and were sitting having lunch at 2.30pm. Some people who were on the plane with us and did the coach transfer arrived just after 3.30pm and said it has been an awful journey. Our taxi cost 90 Euros for the complete round trip and as there were four of us it cost 45 Euros each couple - well worth the money believe me.

"Houmis Apartments - A real gem"
Overall Resort Rating:
The whole resort of San George is very relaxed and stretched out along the 3k beach front, there are many tavernas and supermarkets you can easily walk to. No Cash point though so take your money with you or take a trip to one of the other town for cash. All tavernas seem to offer similar menus and we had our best meals at the Blue Heaven (great calamari), Nautica (homemade cooking and a funny owner) and the fish taverenat at the far east side of the beach ( you can see its lights twinkling at night and it has fantastic views at sunset). We hired a car from the supermarket next door for the day, seemed to be a reasonable price- 40 euros for a medium size car, had a fantastic day visiting Kassiopi, Kalami and Corfu Town. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday this is the resort for you.

"Very quiet"
Overall Resort Rating:
If it's nightlife you're after this is not the resort for you. If it's peace and quiet - this is it. Take some good books, find a comfy sun lounger, add a glass (or two) or wine. What more could you a sk for?

"Excellent"
Overall Resort Rating:
The beach at Agious is simply stunning. 3km long, glorious headlands either side. The resort is quiet and a perfect getaway from the usual touristy resorts, but provides enough for you to have a wonderful time. The locals are all very friendly. There are lots of walks to do as well through Olive Groves or up to see beatiful sun sets or views of the bay.
You will do extremely well to find a nicer beach thats as quiet as this. Agious has kind of become a benchmark of what other hols will be judged by.
