"Remote resort, but fantastic beach."
Overall Resort Rating:
Really is off the beaten trap although there is a Courtesy Bus into Pelekas Village. At the end of October everything was closed apart from the Hotel Aquis. Beach is spectacular with fine sand and you can walk along way into the Sea as the slope is very gentle.

"Golden View ..... the best thing !!!"
Overall Resort Rating:
There are so many places to visit in the world, Corfu is a beautiful Island but the golden view formally Yaliskari Palace is not the place to do it from... CROSS this one off your list.

"I won't be going back."
Overall Resort Rating:
This hotel is not in Pelekas, this hotel is nowhere near Pelekas, it'll take you about an hour to get there on foot if you can't find the path, the map provided at the hotel is a hand drawn photocopy & is fairly useless. A taxi will cost you 15 to 20 Euros. When reviewing Pelekas I'm not reviewing this hotel, they are two different places!
There is very little to see and do at the hotel which would've been fine with me if the hotel had been a nice place to spend time, it wasn't. The only real saving grace for this holiday were the more professional of the staff (see above), the views (which we only got after nine days of daily pestering the reception staff for a sea-view room, something we'd requested when we'd booked but that cost us extra as our tour operator didn't have a contract for such rooms, something they omitted to tell us when we booked) and the nice people we met, normally to share our tales of woe about the hotel. This was my first foreign holiday in fifteen years and my first holiday with my girlfriend, I feel cheated. A plus side is that my girlfriend has now got over her fear of wasps, in fact, if she's got a flip flop in her hand and you're a wasp, watch out!

"Peaceful village"
Overall Resort Rating:
A beautiful village that is surrrounded by olive groves and fruit trees. Set on a mountainside there are wonderful sunsets. You can while away the time at the many cafe and tavernas and explore the maze of alleys that crisscross the village. Great place for walking-Kaiser's Throne is a short walk away, and you have access to some fantastic beaches-most are Blue Flag and ideal for families. You don't need a car if you stay here there are buses into the main town every hour.
