Sidari as a resort was very good as you had the best of both. As a young couple (23 and 26) with a young child we still wanted a bit of liveliness but obvious more low key with the baby. During the day we mostly just relaxed around the pool or beach and at night we went out to a restaurant for dinner and then went to the hotel for the evening entertainment. We were a minutes walk (if that) from the beach and the strip and were at the top end past Babylon (a bar) and SFC (a fast food restaurant). If walked past the strip there were some lovely restaurants and a more quiet relaxing beach. We went to Sailors (a mixture of food) twice and to a Chinese (can't remember what's its called but its not on the strip) twice. Those were the best two meals we had. We went to Cactus Jacks as that was recommended to us by First Choice but we didn't think much of the food and it was expensive for what you got. We were surprised at how much it cost for dinner (on average 45 Euros a night plus your drink on top in the bars). We went on two trips. We went of Corfu by night and got a coach into Corfu Town. This trip was okay but once you've been in one shop they all pretty much sell the same and we found ourselves waiting around to get the coach back rather than rushing to fit everything in. We also went on Simply Corfu a trip which was from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. - a long day but worth it. We went to many places around the island and to a lovely beach where the sea was perfect blue (but I don't what it was called)!! I would not recommend buying your tickets from the rep (which we did!). We paid 40 Euros each for Simply Corfu and 22 Euros each for Corfu Town and down the road in the tourist shops they were selling tickets for Corfu Town were 6 Euros each (a big difference and thinking about it we paid 22 Euros just for a coach to drop us off and pick us up!! As a whole the holiday really good and I would definitely recommend to a friend and go back there myself.

Health and safety buffs would love this. Uneven pavements, broken concrete, rusty reinforcing bars sticking out everywhere, open drains containing deep stagnant water, drains that do have moving water run straight into the sea over the beach and stink of sewage. Unfixed drain covers that moved exposing open manhole. I could go on, but to close this place has the worst of what Blackpool has to offer without the funfair. The whole Island is filthy and full of litter, nobody seems to notice or care. If nobody says how things are it will never change. Just a post script: the horses at the riding centre in Roda were is dreadful condition, so was every other animal seen on the Island. Dogs and Cats are either stray or chained up in poor condition. Certainly not the birth place of civilisation as we know it. No history, no public recreation places. The only thing this place has to offer is sunshine.
