Too quiet for youngsters but the tavernas produced some superb food especially Bazzar and Bravo .Try a pizza or Swordfish steak at Bravo if you like a platefull to fill you up. The Beach was clean and the sea a lovely blue and very inviting.

Overall Resort Rating:

Excellent

Aghia pelagia is in the center of Crete and is in easy reach of many attractions and archaeological sites such as Knossos 20 km. Phaestos 60 km. and of course all the famous museums . Taxi transfers for guests from Heraklion airport to Villa bellevue is approx. 32 -35 euro .

The beach of ligaria 800meters from villa bellevue is like a small paradise.

Agia Pelagia is a small resort set in a small cove/harbour with a sandy beach, there are two more beaches which are smaller and have gravel. The sea front is where the restaurants and bars are located with some very nice shops up the main street, including supermarket and the usual car hire etc. If you dive or want to learn there is also a dive centre, water skiing and boat trips. Good snorkelling in the cove. Great place if you want a relaxing holiday, but if you want Night life go somewhere else.

This was a great experience and I am very glad we did this. We stayed in Chania and took the bus from there to the top of the Gorge and walked (have good walking or tennis shoes). It was cold in the morning then warmed up very nicely at the end. The sites were amazing!! After you reach the end of the Gorge you can walk to a city on the beach with black sand!!! It was gorgeous. Take some snacks and there's water fountains on the way so no need to take extra water.

Very quiet fishing village, not a lot going on here if you don't like just lying in the sun! Excellent restaurants serving seafood which you can see being caught straight from the beach! Just enjoy the surroundings and weather!
