A "village" type area with the usual small shops and few tavernas. The village runs into others, so lovely walks to be had. Very restful.

We had a bargain deal (half price!) because the hotel closed for the season as we left. But the standards were excellent despite the hotel being well under half full. The food standards and choices were excellent; available ALL DAY and of a high standard. T...

went on 2 excursions whilst away, the train ride was great fun, there was 4 to try we did western comfort which took us on a 2 hour ride tthrough some lovely villages were we tried the local beers and the islands strongest alcohol RAKI. we also did a coach and boat excursion to the gorgeous lagoon beach, we saw eagles in the mountains, we walked up the side of a mountain into a cave with a very old monestry inside it, we visited an old hold point for the island through the generations and took a boat trip around to another lovely village on a peninsula, this journey took us from 8am to 7pm but was worth every penny.
we also took the local bus from the hotle to chania or pronounced as hania. were we had a walk around the local food market, now if your looking to buy some type of leather product then this is the place to go, i got a nice leather wallet for 8 euro's. it has some high street branded shops and some lovely places to stop for food and drink.
as we were all inclusive in the hotel we didnt eat out so we cannot really recommend any where to try but with the euro being as high at present your best bet is to stick with all inclusive.
didnt see any night life on the holiday.
there is plenty to sight see on the island, if you are a confident driver id recommend hiring a car for the week to discover the island.
some places reminded me from the film' captain correlis mandolin'.

Most of the resort was closed as it was the end of season, it will be nice to see it in high season.

Overall
Stayed here from the 14th to the 18th of October and really enjoyed our stay, everything that needs to be said about the hotel has been mentioned in the previous review by Andrew, i feel the same as him so no need to go into detail with the description....
