Nice relaxing resort, beautiful beach. There was a choice of good restaurants, and a few bars for chilling in the evening. We would gladly go back again.

Wonderful walks, great beaches, very nice people and helped us get around giving us lots of info, we loved the Casablanca Bar just up in the village on the main road watching people come and go, and enjoyed the famous Tony Diamond CoCktail made by him he is there most nights , but drinks made by him are excellent! all his staff are good too and have time to be helpful, lots of fun going on later hours!

Nice resort, there isn't a great deal to do but thats all part of the charm I think. Lovely beach, and the surrounding hills are beautiful.

The resort is very expensive in the main so caution is advised. If you dont mind roughing it in fast food take away bars then you can get 1 pint of Amstel for just 1 Euro bargain! The food was of good quality too. Sadly though the resort in our opinion will cater less and less for the Brits with the only British Cafe closing too. A few resorts in the area are slowly going towards Eastern European guests with the Brits and the Germans slowly pulling away and i think it is a shame and it will be to their loss. Other resorts have already become ghost towns we were told. and although the resort is still fairly busy it is only us spending the money in the main.

Hanioti review
"Hanioti great for small children"
resort to a friend
Hanioti is a lovely family resort, with plenty to do for young children. THe square is all lit up at night, with fountains cascading, and the whole town seems to come alive, it pretty quiet during the day, then soon as night comes its very busy, with lots to see and do. would recommend this place to young familys.

Sani Resort is a picturesque place, with restaurants and boutique-type shops around a marina full of million pound boats. The two hotels are a few hundred metres either side and two apartment complexes are right on the marina. The beaches are all fine, soft sand and slope very gradually, making it safe for children. Virtually everything is owned by the hotel group, so prices are not competitive, but there is plenty of variety of bars & restaurants. Only two authentic tavernas appear to be independent of the hotels, one of which is equally expensive, but the other (Bosphorus Grillhouse) is much more like Greece should be - very simple (even scruffy) but good, traditional Greek food and local wine at affordable prices. There are all kinds of watersports for hire - at a price! The hotel runs a free boat trip from the marina about 4 times a week.

Hanioti review
"A Little Bit of Greek Paradise!"
resort to a friend
A hidden gem! Once you manage to find the 'Square' it is amazing. You walk down very quiet streets to get to the centre, but once you are there it opens out into a square and in the centre is a small amphitheatre and fountain! The side streets are packed with shops, bars and restaurants. There were 3 Fishbowl bars that we found with smaller bars dotted around. You don't get hustled to go into the bars or restaurants, which made a welcome change, you are just left to make your own mind up as to where you want to eat and drink. No 'pumping' Disco's, but I'm sure there are some if you look for them. All in all, a very relaxing and charming resort.

A lovely town. Most of the restaurants are on the sea front and all are invariably good. Beaches can get busy but sea is shallow, warm and safe. Not for those wanting big nights out but otherwise fantastic

It was ideal for us, we like to do our own thing, speak a little Greek & make friends with the local people. We only stayed for a week so eating out was limited. We tried Nikos which was good. Also, there is a traditional Greek taverna if you turn 1st left (in the direction of Kalithea) after the supermarket (opposite the kiosk), It has tables outside in the garden & the food is great. We don't eat fish but we saw a customer so delighted with his prawns that he went back the next night for some more. Sonia is the owner's wife & she is lovely. Also, you must go to the Sweet Coffee Shop. Stakis & his wife Morfi, are lovely people & not only is his capuccino excellent which is so unusual for Greece, so are his savoury & sweet crepes. Not exactly Greek but well worth a try! It was quiet in late September but that suited us. Weather was very good, just a light jumper needed for late evenings sometimes. We walked to next resort at Polihrono & also walked to a small village in the hills. A perfect holiday for us.

Kriopigi review
"Nice scenery but very little to do"
resort to a friend
Kriopigi is a nice resort if you like walking up and down steep banks to get to the beach or to the nearest restaurant. I strongly advise anyone going here to hire a car as otherwise you will have to rely on public transport to go to another more lively resort such as Hanioti or pefkohori. They can be reached by bus if your willing to wait for it, in about 10 -15 mins and costs roughly 3 euros each. Taxi's will charge what they like. The beach is very narrow and has ants running about the place. Although there are plenty of bins on the beach there are still cigarette ends every where. There is a much nicer beach in Hanioti but that means its more likely to be packed. Kriopigi beach is much quieter. There are a few places to eat out I'd recommended "The Acropolis" they do very nice meals here and not too exspensive. You can also book excursions from here and hire a car. If you want snacks during the day try "Casablanca" they make lovely ice-creams, toasted sandwiches, and cheeseburgers with chips.

The resort we think is more suited to couples, there are plenty of tervernas to eat along the seafront and when you have eaten you can walk your meal off by walking to the jetty or to the shops, for which there are plenty..

Polichrono review
"Absolutely lovely Polichrono"
resort to a friend
We will be returning to Polichrono. This is the first 2 week holiday weve had abroad where we didnt want to leave by the end. The day before we left our daughter piped up that she could live here !! We didnt run out of places to eat. We kept finding new bits of the town. The people were really friendly not at all pushy. GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kriopigi is still a relatively unspoilt resort but is within taxi distance of Hanioti and Kalithea if you want a bit of bustle and noise. There are about a dozen decent restaurants, two of which are in the old village square, but I would recommend the Akropolis which is run by Sakis and his family who serve excellent food and have an excellent Greek night on a Saturday. There are a few good bars, none of which are too noisy but we use the Casablanca which is clean, friendly and has internet access and Sky. There is a road train which runs between the village and the beach, but the best beach is down the hill towards Hanioti in front of the Villa George. There are water sports down there and they rarely get busy. It's certainly worth hiring a car from Thomsons or locally and driving around the peninsula or going over to Sithonia to sample some excellent beaches.

the village is lovely and the beach is in the perfect place! we will definatly be going back there. Afitos village is a real gem with some good eating places ranging from restaurants to tavernas (try The Korner)and a range of shops and 2 minimarkets. The village centre is traffic free in the evening (well almost) and is a joy to stroll around. Access to the beach is all downhill but the return journey can be a bit tiring ! One drawback at the hotel are the bar prices but you can't have everything !
