Just returned from a fabulous holiday in Hanioti. We have had a number of holidays in Greece but this has been one of the best so far. The Daphne village apartments were set in lovely gardens with lots of greenery and flowers. There is quite a climb up to the pool and restaurant area but the fantastic views are well worth it!!This area is really lovely and very airy and spacious. We could not fault the apartments and the service was spot on. Cleaned daily and linen and towels changed regularly.staff are very helpful and pleasant.
Hanioti is a beautiful resort. The square at night is very busy and buzzing. We loved it. It has a very safe and friendly atmosphere - mostly families with no yobs or lager louts. Lots of places to eat to suit all tastes.
It was a nice pleasant walk to the beach -about 15 minutes. It would be a good idea to buy some beach sh oes as the edge of the water is quite pebbly, but the water is really warm.
we will definitely return to Hanioti again, hopefully to the daphne village. We had a really enjoyable and peaceful holiday!

The good points :-
The Daphne Village is one of the best places we have stayed. Yes, the rooms are on the small side, with not much storage space, and the hill is steep, (especailly in 40c heat!) But we had a kettle AND a toaster, a TV, and the bathroom had a shower curtain, bath mat, hair dryer and they had little bottles of shampoo for you. Also, they supplied the loo rolls!! The pool area and bar are nice and clean, and being at the top of the hill, there are great views from it. We only had snacks from the bar, but they also did food in the evenings.
The not so good points :-
We were a little disappointed with Hanioti. It is very much a purpose built resort. The beach is only average, and by greek standards we found it pretty dirty and certainly very crowded in July. (Row upon row of loungers, right up to the waters edge.) If you go further away from the centre its a bit better, but then you get quite a few rocks in the sea!
Although there were a number of cheap 'fast food' eating places (Gyros - Kebab places) There were only around a dozen or so proper greek tavernas. We found ourselves going back for a second and third time to some. I would mention Kassandras Roof Garden Taverna - definately the best Taverna in Hanioti.
Although I would certainly recommend the Daphne Village, I think if you are after some genuine greek hospitality, there are much better, and prettier places to go.

The Daphne aparments where small but clean and fine if you where self catering. The hill at the apartments is steep. It would be no good for people with walking difficuties. Apart from that it is good. The best place to have breakfast in the town is the Central Cafe. For meals the Italian is good. But the Kassandra Roof Top Restuarant is the best of all. The people of Hanioti are Friendly and make you feel so relaxed. The best place I found to drink is Nicks Bar. It has all the old music of the 60s and 70s. That is near the road going up to the main road for Daphne apartments. Altogether it was a lovelly holiday.
Rooms are very clean and the air con. was free, which you needed. The pool area could of been cleaner, and there was a shortage of sunbeds. By the time we went to the pool at about 9 o clock there was none left!

The resort was ok but there was nothing much to do for our 4 teenage daughters.
We ended up at the Hotel Angelo as they had some entertainment.
You can book trips a lot cheaper in the resort we used Bros travel and they were good and half the price of the Kosmar trips.
Kelfos bar in the square we found had the friendliest staff and the best coocktails!
all in all a nice holiday but I would not go back- not enough to do there.
