"nice and small"

The hotel is very small but very friendly. It has a small pool. The rooms are basic and clean. Towels and bedding are changed only once per week which is not really enough. The bar snacks are handy and there is a bit of entertainment at night.

"Nice place!"

I was originally due to stay elsewhere but my holiday was cancelled and I booked into the Vicky to be near friends. It was definitely the right decision. The owners are very friendly and our room was perfect, around the back of the hotel and cool and quiet. The room was a good size and though there were just two of us there were three beds so we had somewhere to put things, as well as the wardrobe. the bathroom was small but fine and the shower was lovely (once, after much hilarity my mother and I worked out how to use it!).

The room had a kettle, toaster, fridge and two hot plates and there were plenty of cups, glasses, plates and cutlery if you needed them.

There is a big supermarket less than 5 mins walk from the hotel on the main road.

The pool at the Vicky is small but perfectly formed and gets the sun all day until well after 6 in the evening. The bar has a lovely terrace to sit out on to enjoy a drink or a snack, and prices are very reasonable.

I will definitely be returning to the Vicky, and will be requesting the room I had this time if it is available.

Had a great time, the owners are friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure that we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday

The Vicky is a must for all of those who want a clean environment and a friendly atmosphere without the all night parties, a good choice for couples and families.

Will I visit Vicky Apartments again - most definitely.

Having recently spent a 2 week holiday at Vicky Apartments in Hanioti, I am very surprised at certain previous negative reviews.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The owners, Pat, Michael, Audrey and Leo are very welcoming and friendly, they are always around if you want help or have any queries, they speak very good English having spent many years in Australia.

Vicky Hotel is within close proximity to Hanioti Square where most Bars, Taverna's and attractions are situated but it is far enough away not to suffer from any noise from the square.

The accommodation is very clean, towels and bed linen are changed regularly and bins are emptied daily. Lunch time snacks, bar food etc were excellent and reasonably priced, the Tuna Salad/Greek Salad are a MUST.

The Beach is only a short walk away, likewise supermarkets are only a hundred yards from the hotel in either direction. The Hotel pool was excellent, not too big and not too small, the children can enjoy a swim or splash in the pool whilst you laze around on the sun loungers on the sun terrace beside the pool.

The locals are very pleasant, most taverna's have staff that can speak good English so communicating is not a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vicky Hotel, we will not hesitate in returning next year and look forward to meeting up again with Pat, Michael, Audrey and Leo.

having stayed in the vicky in sept 07 this is the worst aps we have ever stayed in. the owners are a joke we were told they were friendly not the case, thinking it might be us we asked other couples what they thought they said the the same if your face dont fit. a simple good morning would have cost them nothing. Hanioti is alovely place would go back any time but not to the vicky

Came here for a weeks holiday, end of season and wish we hadn't picked this hotel. Quite frankly it was awful. We stayed in Room 19 and it was disgusting. The only window in the appartment was 4' x 4' and was 6' off the floor it had obscure glass and bars on the outside, it was like being in a prison. there was no table and chairs, the storage space for clothes etc was totally inadequate. The kitchen was appalling, the cupboards and drawers smelt damp and musty and the cutlery and crockery were very basic and not really adequate. There was only one saucepan and one frying pan. We only used two mugs, a spoon and one glass all week. There was one plug socket in the kitchen area so you could only use either the kettle, the toaster or the 2 ring electric hob at any one time. Hanioti was fine although I wouldn't come in October again as it was all closing down. Give the Vicky a wide berth !!!!!

i have never before stayed in such a hell hole please do not stay in these apartments we were in room 20 and the smell was disgusting the mold was covering the entire bathroom ceiling, it was disgusting.

i suffer from asthma and have a sever allergy to mold and was ill due to the extent of the mold. the room was so dark that we had to have the light on at all times. the wardrobe and draws smelt so bad of mold that we kept or clothes on the bed and we purchased plastic cups and plates. there is no table and chairs even theough its self catering!!!!!

the staff are fine if u put up the the awful conditions but when politly asked to move us due to the extent of the mold and the overpowering smell. we were lied to and told that there was no other rooms available even though there were 3 rooms that were not being used. LIARS

the resort itself is fab really good lots to do and the restaurants are lovely u must go to the hot goblin the staff here are outstanding and will do anything to make u feel welcome HI TO NEIL AND JAN. GOOD BRITISH FOOD CHEAP TO. u must go

just had 2wks in hanioti at Vicky appts, where do i start? Vicky staff are brill, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spotless and spacious (we had a studio that slept 3 but there were only 2 of us).Room service every day, beds made etc. Yes the pool is on the small side, it doesnt matter though as most people go to the beach and we never had a problem getting a bed or having a swim. If you want a holiday were gangs of lager swilling yobs stagger around from bar to bar effing and jeffing all over the place then don't bother coming here!!! This resort has managed to keep its way of life and in the past 3 years has stayed exactly the same.

From the friendly locals to the helpful bar and restaurant staff, everyone appears laid back and again, nothing is too much for them. If you want the late nights on the town then that too is here, the square comes alive after 11pm and buzzes into the morning. Yes i will visit Haniotti again and yes i will definitely stay at the Vicky.

If any of the Vicky staff read this review, thanks again and we'll see you next year Gary Carol, Martin Carol and Jake

Resort centre and beach within easy walking distance lots of good bars and eating places.
Beach bars are a bit expensive compared to others but you do get use of the sun loungers.
Fun fair had not opened yet.
But lots of nice shops to keep you entertained before that enjoyable evening meal.
Best for breakfast- Stones full english including tea/coffee/orange juice only 4 euro's
The Old tavern - great evening meals and nice friendly staff Dimitrios and Amanda looked after us all and all meals very reasonably priced.

These apartments are run by friendly people. The apartments are quite small. The downside is that there is no air conditioning and one noisy fan is not enough. The laundry is not particulary clean and the towels rarely changed. The pool is small but good for kids to make friends.
The resort is good with many bars and restaurants suiting all ages. The beach is fine, although quite a long walk in the hot sun. Watch out for the sea urchins. We hired a car and found some lovely beaches south of Hanioti.

I had a wonderful time at the Vicky apartments in august 2005, we made alot of friends there and the staff were very friendly!

The rooms were clean and well kept, i have heard people saying that their rooms didnt get cleaned very much but ours was cleaned at least 5 times over the 2 weeks we were there. The apartments wernt very big and the pool wasnt very big either but it was perfect because not many people were at the pool anyway.

The beach was about 5 minutes walk away from the apartments even though we didnt go to the beach very much. It had alot of nice little bars and restaurants around the town especially the kassandra. We felt very safe there. One thing i would say though is that the italian restaurant on the edge of the square wasnt very nice and i wouldnt go back there, apart from that every meal we had was absolutly lovely, the greek food was lovly and i would recomend to try the food if you havnt ate it before.

There was really onlt one bad point about the holiday and that was 2 of my children got ear infections from the pool water at the Vicky apartments but we went to the doctor and everything was cleared up.

I would definatly go back to the vicky apartments

just returned from a week in hanioti sept 2005. the weather was mixed and the resort really good we ate at different taverns everynight and did not have a bad meal once, our favouite was the kassandra gardens where the food and service is excellent.

the vickey studios however were very poor. i was not expecting 4 star having paid little for the holiday, but i didnot expect to find thread bare linen or towells. our room was only cleaned once and the towells changed once. i had read reviews to say that the staff were friendly, but this was only to people who had been more than once. to my party the owners were very indifferent.

i will visit halkidiki again but not the vickey.

We had a brilliant holiday! The bingo and Karaoke were great and the staff were friendly. The rooms were spacious although one of the 2 bedroom rooms are right next to the bar and reception. Although the bar was fairly quiet and we were not disturbed.
The pool was quite small but we had lots of fun in it. The beach was very crowded but it was the main weeks. So i guess it was to be expected.
The square and the town were nice and felt safe when walking around at night.
Our favorite place to eat was the Lesse Bistro, with lots of traditional Greek food, the staff there were very friendly.
All in all it was a great holiday and we would like to go back one day.

This was a fantastic holiday great weather, lovely beach, lots to do,and the appartment was nice too it was family run so the people were very friendly they got to know you by name. They held a karoke night on thursdays and bingo on saturdays [ you might think bingo is for old people but it was a fun night].

The main square was a 5 min walk and had a great selection of shops, bars and places to eat.A must go is the sunshine bar it has well priced drinks and also has the fish bowl a huge cocktail to share. The beach was also close by the sea was cristal clear the sand was white but a little pebbley. It also had a good selection of water sports which were all great fun as well as cheap.

It was a fab fab holiday and would recomend it to anyone it was great!!!
