Oceania Club Reviews

My husband and I stayed in Oceania Club in July this year following a cruise for our silver wedding. This hotel is excellent from start to finish, whilst checking in we were offered a glass of champagne, and complete comfort. Ourselves and our luggage was taken to our room by a golf buggy, very impressive. The staff could not do enough for us, as mentioned it was our silver wedding we were given baskets of fruit and bottles of champagne on 2 occassions. The resteraunts on site were fantastic, a la carte and wine lists to choose from. we will defentinely be going back.

Just got back from 2 weeks at the Oceania Club hotel went June 5th, the hotel is fab could not fault it, staff very helpful and polite, food superb, rooms spotless, my only little gripe was the main pool was very busy very early and near impossible to get a sunbed, however my husband and I decided to use the private beach never had a problem there, lovely beach quite ,drink service fantastic, we never had an empty glass.The main pool is very noisy with lots of children, so if you want a peaceful day sun bathing go to the beach, after 1 day round the pool we never used it again in the 2 weeks, always the beach. Not much to do in Nea Moudana and to be honest I have been to many greek islands and they are all far prettier than Halkadiki, however at the Oceania you never need leave the resort so its not a problem. The shows that the Sani show team put on are fantastic really professional they really made our holiday. All in all we would definately go back,

The hotel is beautiful and I would definitely recommend it.

The management and staff are always on-hand, extremely polite and helpful but not intrusive. Facilities at the hotel are very good. The spa is a tranquil oasis and definitely worth a visit. Plenty of sun loungers and pools kept immaculately. Hotel has own sun loungers on the beach also which are free to hotel guests. All the restaurants serve very good food. We particularly liked the fresh smoothies and the choice of fresh fruit on offer every day (although the 4 year old would say that the pancakes with chocolate spread for breakfast every day were the clear favourite!!).

The shows were very good and clearly a lot of time and effort were put into them. The cinema is a great idea however the movies were mainly geared towards teens/adults so maybe more family friendly movies could be offered or even an early evening showing would suit better. The kids club is the only downside for this hotel. Personally I don't use them but I did speak to other parents who had concerns. Nothing much to do outside of the hotel complex but that suited us fine as our holidays are very much about relaxing and spending time together as a family.

All in all I would definitely return to this hotel.

Absolutelly fabulous hotel,sheer luxury throughout.All inclusive all over the hotel,blue bar open morning till late,pool and beach bar open all day,horrison open during shows and astra night club open till late.Even ice cream cones included all day.
FOOD
A gourmet delight, plenty of good quality choice in buffet,all 3 speciallity restruants like eating in a good quallity restruant.
ENTERTAINMENT
Verry good, shows every night well presented, film every night same time as shows so didnt see them.
SERVICE
Excellent in every department ie, bars restruants androom service
RESORT
Very Greek geared more for locals,but everyone is pleasantand Nea Maudania is well worth a visit,some nice shops and cafes in town but give the market a miss.

We have just returned from the Oceania Club Hotel in Halkidiki and in out opinion this was an absoltely excellent hotel!

We did read the other reviews prior to our visit and totally agree that the hotel is great! Staff are brilliant, polite and nothing is too much trouble. You will receive a champagne greeting and your bags are taken from you directly to your room. We had one of the Suites, which was great! Towels were changed twice a day. The mini bar re-stocked daily and a turn down service provided. The food in all of the restaurants was good, however the italian was our favourite. You must try the Tiramusu with baileys!!! The main restaurant was buffet with a vast range of choice. At no time did you visit the buffet and it was not completely stocked or layed out nicely! Some items are cooked while you wait - omlettes, pizza and Pasta etc. The staff are so friendly that they speak when ever you pass and always give a smile! This is a very child friendly place with lots for them to do. With regard to the sunbeds, there are so many scattered around the various pools, beach, it really is not a problem.

The beach is down a few too many steps however is worth it. Please spend time to watch the VERY smooth running of the Blue Bar. Nikoa is absolutely great and runs the bar like a piece of well oiled machinery. Drinks just flow!! All good British brands, however only local lager. The only one downside is the area in which the hotel is located. There is nothing around to do, so if you fancy a nice relaxing, friendly holiday and do not feel the need to wander locally, this is the place for you. There is so much laid on for you, you really do not have time to go out and about anyway!! We were not going to go to the entertainers version of Starlight Express as on previous holidays, these were never up to much! But please go as it was great! Disco and cinema in the hotel for teenagers but not much to do locally outside of this.

We had a great time and cannot wait to go again! I am planning for next year!!
