The restaurants on the seafront and the main road were very nice, never had a bad meal out there. Shops all sold similar things but different in their own way.
The sea is lovely, very salty and onlt a 30 second walk to it.
Dont let the 2 hour transfer time put you off, as soon as u get there it is forgotten about.
Hotel bar always puts different things on eg, Karaoke, Bingo, Quiz, BBQ night, cheap cocktails, all a good laugh!!! We always ended going back there because they were the best cocktails we could find!!
Very highly recommended for a stress free holiday!
We went at the busiest time, because the Greeks had a bank holiday so was very busy, but dies down dramatically when the bank holiday was over. Not much to see and do, but a short drive to Hanioti and there is alot more to see and do. Eating out was very go...

Overall a great holiday and place to stay. Rita and themi are brilliant hosts and make you feel very welcome from the second your feet touch their property. Cleanliness of the whole hotel area was spotless at all times. Food was good pub grub but ask for the greek mezze 15 euros each but enough food to feed an army and delicious. Good facilities within the apartment and plenty of storage space.Evening activities are displayed daily but are subject to change and numbers!!!! Bbq nights are great fun and value for money. Would definately go back but sorry not next year.
A nice resort but not much going on watch out for the thousands of sea urchins in the sea at the beach!!!! Gave several people nasty foot injuries and spoilt their hols! Plenty of lovely restraunts along the sea front but go up to the old square and visit p...

Our Excellent Holiday started from the moment we arrived & were greeted by Rita & Themi the owners, who make you feel at home straight away. Leave your cases there & have a drink we are told as we are ushered into the bar. What a start and it just got better & better. Our highlight would be the Tuesday Night BBQ, not to be missed, great fun & great value & Lisa gives you a little lesson in Greek Dancing. Lots of entertainment as well, quiz nights, Bingo, Karaoke, Disco nights & a Pool table. The room we stayed in was very nice indeed, plenty of room & not squashed. The kitchen although basic consists of a fridge with a freezer compartment, 2 electric hobs, a microwave, toaster & kettle. All very convenient for making snacks & keeping the drinks cool. Air Con is available at 8 Euros a night, nice if it gets too hot. The rooms are cleaned daily & sheets changed weekly. The hotel is situated just off the beach, so you can choose either the pool or just stroll down the beach to relax. There are plenty of good restaurants all over Pefkohori, on the beach front to the Old Square, we personally never had a bad meal anywhere. The Aellos is a great family hotel & the kids realy enjoy it, my daughter Laura made lots of friends and has now got loads of emailing to do. Thank you Themi, Rita & Lisa for giving us a great holiday, we will be back same time next year & hopefully some of the people we met there will be back to share a drink or two in the bar with us again.

In a word - Fantastic!

The Aeollos is the one of the best places we have ever stayed in whilst in Greece. Apartments are spacious and clean. There is even a proper shower area, rather then just a grill in the middle of the bathroom floor. The cooking equipment is very basic, but you would be crazy to cook in when there are so many fantastic places to eat nearby. The air-con is payable locally and we wouldn't have slept without it. You hire the remote for €8 per day, so worth it.
Themis, Lisa, Rita and all the other staff can't do enough to make your stay a pleasure. As Themis lives in the house next door he always on hand to ensure you are OK. The bar is open from 9am (except on changeover days when they open it early to ensure you get breakfast before the journey to the airport) and closes when the last person goes to bed. It is not noisy at all, as some other people have mentioned on this forum. They try to have some form of entertainment most nights - when we were there these were a quiz, karaoke, a disco and Lisa's special card bingo. The pool is not very big, but this helps it to stay a nice temperature, so its not so much of a shock when you get in to cool down!
The food at the Aeollos is amazing. Sunday lunch was great - all homecooked. I had lamb with all the trimmings followed by sweet pancakes. The BBQ night is not to be missed - €10 per head including a glass of wine and as much food as you can eat. A good selection of meats, veggie option, salads and bread. After all that Lisa gets you up for a bit of Greek dancing. We also mentioned to Themis that we had never had lobster before, so he offered to cook us a special meal one night. It was stunning and there was so much food. If you fancy giving it a go just ask him in advance and he will do it for you - amazing as a special treat.
There is only one row of houses in front of the Aeollos and then you are on the beach. The beach is made up of small stones rather than fine sand, but this is great as it doesn't stick to you! It is perfect for those of you with small children as it is very shallow. Some of the bars offer free sunbeds all day as long as you buy at least one drink and we did this most days. If you want a relaxing beach or poolside holiday this is the place for you. I defy anyone to visit the Aeollos and not enjoy it!
