"good address in kefalonia"

Overall Resort Rating:

Perfect location for relaxing and enjoying transparent waters and beautiful beaches. Very calm, beautiful colors... Restaurants and convenient stores at reach. If you want to visit the rest of the island, it is good though to plan to rent a car, Argostoli, the main city of the island is ten minutes away by car

Lassi is a small paradise for everyone who wants to go away from the hectic pace and the crowd of big cities. We had easy access to all faclilities and restaurants and beaches were on walking distance. It is also ideal location if you want to have a tour of the island, as it is almost in the middle of it. And the capital city is near by!

Lassi consists of one main street on which numerous bars and restauarnts are located. Several beaches also located in Lassi - we tended to stay by apartment pool although did visit several of the local beaches and found them clean with loungers and parasols available to hire. Kefalonian bank holiday meant that beaches were busy with locals for three days. Disappointed with Butlers House restaurant - best setting and decor of all the restaurants (menus pretty similar for all) but staff did not advise us that they were having a problem with the pizza oven with the result that we were waiting for nearly 90 minutes for our food and then 3 out of 4 meals arrived with a further 20 minute wait for the fourth. Wouldn't have minded so much if staff had taken trouble to let us know what was going on and after complaining we were reluctantly given the drinks for free as compensation! Sirtaki bar worth a visit - fantastic setting Overall slightly disappointed with the attitude of many of the locals who came across unfriendly Recommend car hire to see the island - Assos and Fiscardo both fab

CARE with return journey. Kefalonia airport small and can get busy - we were waiting outside in full-on sun for nearly an hour before there was enough space in terminal building to join end of queue to check in. Kefalonian staff also more likely to charge excess baggage charge than UK counterparts - they even weighed hand baggage (in addition to checked luggage) to make sure we were not over our allowance. Cash required to pay excess fees and no ATM in airport.

Overall an ideal base for exploring the island which was like a mini Corfu! Beautiful resorts to explore, good food and beaches. Lassi beach was quite crowded because of the time of year and the locals use it to but always got sunbeds etc. The resort is quiet and safe for couples and families mainly. We enjoyed our holiday but may stay at Skala next time for a less crowded beach. A great time had by all pool, beach and car-hire made our holiday a good one.

"Lassi"

Lassi is mainly one long road with the usual suspects re tourist shops and resturants. I happened to love the feel of the place - though some may say lacking in character. The beaches are great. The mai one is rather crowded but still lovely. There are other nearby beaches, which are much quieter but are still very attractive. Mainly sandy beaches in Lassi. I would recommend car hire as the isalnd is fantastic and very eay to navigate around.

Lassi is just a stip as commented on earlier..do visit Myrtos Beach..stunning..the postcards don't do it justice. Sami is also well worth a trip to !! Generally Kefalonia is far too expensive compared to other Greek Islands and although a beautiful island and all three of us had a really good time, but we will not be returning to the island.I can Drink a lot cheaper here in England..between 8-12 euros for a gin and tonic, large beer and a water is bloody ridiculous.

"SAN LORENZO VILLAGE"

Overall Resort Rating:

Excellent

Open quote

The beach was a little further than expected or hoped away, but nothing to complain about, the San Lorenzo has a pool anyway so no problems, the beach is worth the walk down anyway because its was one of the best sandy beaches I ever been on not very wide but again worth the walk down. Lassi is a small resort, but very accommodating for eating out as a couple or as a family. Argostoli only a short taxi ride away or a nice walk, what ever can't be found in lassi will be found here, a more cosmopolitan place with it being the capital of the island.

A beautiful island but it wasn't for us.The best beach to go to is the one near the costa club. Turn left at the bottom of the hill, keep walking and you will see a sign for the costa club, lovely sunbeds (6 euro's for two beds and an umbrella)and a wonderful self service restaurant who surprisingly don't rip you off too much!

"Lassi"

Overall Resort Rating:

Average

Its not a cheap option, prices have raised well over inflation rate at Lassi where it is apparent from speaking to the locals that there arn't the numbers attending there this year probably due to the economic downturn. Subsequently, you will be paying more than expected for your food etc. The resort is grubby in comparison with some other places we have visited in Kefalonia, I dont see the point of making a large pavement running through the resort if it is covered in dust and spoil from the land drainage, which is not cleaned up and very dusty and slippery to walk on!... its that type of thing which lets the whole place down, you can have a beautiful house, and right next to it an undeveloped piece of land with old display units etc abandoned. Argostoli is a 10 min trip away by taxi at 6 euros. There are some nice walks for those who are energetic, its a pity the spray paint graffiti gangs have got to the monuments etc before the holiday makers.....

Excellent resort, only a 15 minute transfer from the airport. Good location for exploring the rest of the island. A perfect resort for couples / families with young kids. There are a handful of low key bars, a couple with Karaoke / Quizzes. There is one bar/club that is good. Still a very quiet resort though. Lots of places to eat out on a night. Only had one bad meal, that was at Mystic Gusto (we only had a snack at lunch time there, it might be better on an evening). The best meal by far was at Trata. We went twice and everything we ordered was superb, particularly the Octopus! To be fair every evening meal was really nice. Beaches in Lassi were good, although not a patch on Myrtos (about 45 mins away by car). Would definately return to Lassi. All good.
