"LASSI"
Overall Resort Rating:
Lassi is the nearest resort to the aiport and is about a 10 mins transfer time. Purpose built it is beginning to look a bit tired and is quite on the expensive side when compared to the other resorts (especially Skala in the south of the island). The great thing about Lassi is it has lovely beaches and if you want a change the capitol Argostoli is only 5 minutes away by taxi (5 euros) and offers a lot more restaurants and choice but no beach.

"Lazy days in Lassi"
Overall Resort Rating:
The resort of Lassi is very laid back and totally chilled out. This was our 2nd holiday here and we weren't disappointed. The resort has plenty of good eating places, prices were about 35-40 euros for a 3 course with carafe of local wine. Would recommend going to the Chinese Dragon down the Faniri road, about 30 mins stroll from the hotel - well worth the walk. Also you MUST go to the Kohenoor indian in Argostoli (only one on the Island) just of the main square behind the Mirabel hotel, go once and I promise you'll go back !!!!!!!.
We hired a scooter for 10 days (350 Euro) this allowed us to get out and about during the day. Would recommend hiring some sort of transport as it could get quite boring in Lassi all the time. We were all round the Island and had a fantastic time. Also used the ferry boat over the Lixouri (4.75 euro PP return) this was nice. We also done a couple of excursions with Etam Travel (they were the cheapest).
The Island of Kefalonia isn't for the 18-30 but this is a good thing - its kept its local Greek charm and we WILL be going back soon.

Overall Resort Rating:
Kefalonia in general seems quite quiet but there is a lot to do in Lassi, plenty of bars and shops to look round. It is also worth a trip to the main town a couple of miles away, the taxi is pretty cheap.

"Lassi"
Overall Resort Rating:
Lassi is a tourist resort that I feel lacks a little bit of character, however it has enough bars and restaurants to keep you going for a fortnight. Only a couple of miles (if that) away from Argostoli with shops and more restaurants and bars. It's a great location for couples and families with young children, probably not great for teenagers as not a lot of 'lively' entertainment

"quiet Lasi"
Overall Resort Rating:
Lasi is a one strip resort with 4 supermarkets, many restaurants and several bars situated along the length of it. There is not much at all to do there if you are half board and do not need to eat out. However it is a beautiful resort and for us this was more important than being entertained. A very relaxing holiday. We hired a car and spent 2 days visiting other places on the island and I would definately recommend this. The roads are quiet, if a little steep on one side with a sheer drop to the sea! Fiscardo is a must-visit and it is a lovely place to have lunch on the harbour side. The beach at Anti-samos is also a must see - where they filmed Captain Correli's Mandolin and stunning.

Excellent family resort, a must to hire a car and explore the rest of the island. The beaches all differ from sand to stone and worth visiting the different ones.

"lassi, kefalonia"
Overall Resort Rating:
Lassi is not for the younger group as it has no nightclubs but we loved it as it was quiet and clean and loads of places to eat which were all great. there is music played in most bars which is english and the food is reasonably priced. we hired a jeep and we were gald we did as the views when driving around the island are amazing! much better than other greek islands we have visited - corfu, zante. if you want to chill out and relax this is the pace.

"Lovely peaceful resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
Plenty of bars and restaurants and not too busy even in the height of summer. The cost of meals was reasonable even with the poor exchange rate. The beaches in the area are beautiful, lovey blue sea and the resort is perfect for both families and couples.

"Peace and quiet in Lassi"
Overall Resort Rating:
Lassi is really beautiful and very traditionally greek, it is suitable for everyone. It is relatively unspoilt compared to other islands and not that commercial. Its beaches are shallow and safe with really pretty scenery and white sand. There are lots of tavernas in Lassi but the capital Argostoli is only 5mins away by taxi which has a good range of bars and restaurantsin its central square. The prices are really reasonable in Lassi but can be pricey in Argostoli. There is a few reestaurants we would recommend Zorbas and Veronicas are good for Greek food and the Chinese House on the main street is excellent, do not make the long trip to the other chinese as it is not as good. There are a few bars all of which are good. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

"Great Location"

The location is fantastic, 5 or 6 euros to the capital in a taxis. Under 5 minute walk to the beach, which is stunning, with sunbeds that have fabric mattresses!

"Lassi"
Overall Resort Rating:
Lassi is just a road with shops, bars and resaurants off it. It is not typically Greek but if you want a good meal you'll find one. The beaches are great. We didn't go to the bigger beaches but chose to stay on the smaller ones. The supermarkets will take your shopping up to your apartments free of charge for you if you haven't got a car or if you are just out for a stroll.

"Lassi"
Overall Resort Rating:
Lassi was a great base to discover the whole island. Had a good choice of restaurants and bars. Bars had a more relaxed theme and certainly couldn't be described as lively. If you want that type of holiday then Lassi or even Kefalonia isn't where you should be heading. Lassi is basically a strip with bars, restaurants and shops on both sides of the road leading upto the capital Argostoli. There are car hire and moped hire places within Lassi. We used Rent-a-bike to hire a moped. My advice is if you are going to hire a moped get at least a 250cc if you're carrying a pillion. The island is very mountainous and we passed a couple of smaller mopeds with rider and pillion who were really struggling on the climbs! Hardly saw any trip buses on organised tours and think this is because everybody just seems to hire a car/moped and do their own touring. There are however a few offices and holiday reps who do offer organised trips if you're not sure about driving abroad.
Would definitely recommed using the Vagetali Supermarket - probably in the middle of the strip next to Chinese House Restaurant. Prices are the cheapest and almost on a par with English prices. The other supermarkets certainly gave you a feeling of being ripped off. We were attracted to a restaurant called Sirtaki - Every table was taken and people were queing - a good sign? - advertised traditional Greek Cuisine. We ordered a Greek dish and this was presented on one side of the plate and on the other side was chips and tinned vegetables!! A complete let down! We did however try Zorbas and found this to be excellent - serving up traditional Greek cuisine as it should be. I know taste is down to everybody's individual pallete but to serve chips and tinned vegetables??!!
I have rated Cost of Food and Drink as Average - this is in comparison to other resorts I've visited and not English prices.
Would definitely go to Argostoli for a night out and try the bars and restaurants around the square. 6 Euros in a taxi. The taxis queue in the Square so easy enough to get back. Again the bars offered relaxed atmosphere looking out onto the square. Great atmosphere in the Square which is the attraction and meeting place for everyone.
Would definitely recommend Lassi to friends and Family.
