Lassi Holiday Reviews

Lassi is a rersort for tourists. Plenty of choice for bars/ restaurants, a couple of supermarkets but not much else. There is no 'centre' and it lacks architecturally and aesthetically. The beaches are kept very clean and umbrella and sunbed hire was reasonable (6 euros for the day). The people of Lassi speak excellent English and are very friendly. Try the Italian restaurant - it looks nothing from the outside but has a beautiful garden to eat in at the back. Lovely food and service. Lots of tour companies do trips around the island. These were MUCH cheaper than the tour operator and were excellent with an English speaking guide and fully insured coach. Try the Island tour which takes in the caves and the beautiful lake as wll as some of the nicer villages.

Lixouri is a pleasant town. Special restaurant Zorbas is very good and perfect price-wise. Zorbas is located in the shopping street behind the boulevard. Lixouri is a wonderful island, fortunately not that touristy yet. Recommendable if you like the genuine Greece.

Good selection of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the greek dancing at Zorba the Greek's restaurant. Plenty of car hire available and excursions.

Good point to explore the rest of the Island from and close to airport so transfer not long.

Lassi is quite a small resort but has a very good choice of restaurants and is close to Argostolli if you require a lively resort. Beachs are fab.

Beaches are brilliant but don't expect too much of Lassi itself. It's mainly bars, tavernas and supermarkets. Having said that it still gets busy and there is always something going on ! Its best to go into Argostoli a short bus or taxi ride away if you want a livlier and larger town !

Very quiet, just a long row of bars and restaurants, very little shops apart from the usual supermarket types you get everywhere , but the beaches are fabulous and if all toy want to do is soak up the sun like we did you could not do better

Only a small place but loads of shops/mini markets to visit. Souvenirs and gifts, etc., quite reasonably priced.

A small but lovely resort, not too far from Argostoli, the island's capital. Transfer from the airport is no more than half an hour but there is no disturbance from aircraft noise. A variety of shops, stocking a good selection of wine, tavernas and other eating establishments make this an xcellent location for self-caterers. however we were half board so did not need to eat out but we enjoyed browing in the local shops each evening. The resort is on the coast overlooking fantasic views across the sea towards Lixouri and has the benefit of several good quality beaches.

Great location if you hire a car. It's a beautiful island with loads to see, and the First Choice rep was great helping us get the car and it was delivered and picked up. Going out of season meant that the resort was quiet but most of the restaurants were open or opened while we were there. There's loads of different places to eat, and a couple of bars, but you're only 6euros away from Argostoli if you want busy nightlife. The beach is fabulous with two nice tavernas and clean toilets.

this is the most beautiful stunning greek island you will ever see there are miles of fabulous scenery with superb beaches ,as regards eating in the resort of Lassi were we stayed ther are plenty of tavernas with a wide choice of menus,something for everyone

The location was beautiful and there were loads of things to do. The prices were reasonable and the food in the restaurants was very delicious. I cannot wait for our return trip there.

We took a taxi into Argostolli a couple of evenings (confirm price before leaving, we paid 5/6 euros although it is in walking distance in the heat it was easier to get a taxi). On an evening it seems the like the whole island comes out to parade around the main square in their sunday best! Overall I rate the apartments very clean and pretty well situated for those on a budget!

As a resort we were disappointed with Lassi, it was a bit shabby and certainly looks better at night, however we would recommend Sirtaki for their Greek Night, just make sure you get there early to ensure you get a table. The Enalion is a great hotel if you want to just chill at the hotel or if you want to use it as a base to travel round the island, just don't expect too much from Lassi.

Kefalonia in general seems quite quiet but there is a lot to do in Lassi, plenty of bars and shops to look round. It is also worth a trip to the main town a couple of miles away, the taxi is pretty cheap.

Lassi is great for the restaurants and beaches. If you are looking for excursions, hire a car! Makris Gialos is a beautiful beach, probably the best one on the island. If you need souvenirs or anything having to do with shopping, there are many markets on the strip. My bet would be for you to go to supermarket Lassi and see Stan.
