"The Best"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Well what can i say the San Lorenzo was the best place i have ever stayed Cleaned every day, with fresh sheets and towels. The pool is very clean and clear, and the baby pool is re-filled every morning, The bar staff are really friendly. You can even get your shopping done for you, and they will bring it to your door! Plenty of sunloungers to go around and parasouls. Also a park for children! And swings situated around the gardens with beautiful picture-ess views of the sea, to relax on! The restraunts are great, the Greek food is fantastic! Panorama is highly reccomended. The bar staff will also call a taxi for you to go into Argostoli which has some great shops for designer bags, jewlery and more!

"San Lorenzo Residence"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The San Lorenzo Residence is owned by the family who also own the Lorenzo hotel & San Lorenzo village. There is no pool here but you can use the pools at both the other places and also any other pool that is open to the public. Personally we used the pool at the marianna studios across the road. These apartments are set just off the main road in their own gardens. There is no pool or bar or focal point so if you want to relax on site just sit ouside in the garden or in balcony. The apartments were serviced daily. Ours was a ground floor one bed apartment plus a further pull out bed in the living room (more suited to kids than another pair of adults). There is a kitchenette and (small) bathroom. We had a 2 ring cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge 2 fans & a free safety deposit box. Apparantly next year they are having air con installed and also the pool will be finished and up & running. These are very clean and well equipped apartments. We would return to these apartments again and I would also recomend these apartments to anyone wanting a relaxing time

"SAN LORENZO VILLAGE"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We have been going to Greece now for approximately 14 years and never in all that time, have we stayed in better self-catering accommodation. The attention to detail and the cleanliness around the entire grounds is second to none. It is a family run business with very friendly, polite and hard working staff. The rooms were very clean and on arrival we we’re met with water in the fridge, fresh fruit in a basket, savoury nibbles, sweets on the pillows, chocolate in the fridge, washing-up liquid, shampoo, shower gel, shower caps, and a sewing kit. Whether you use them or not a very nice touch, provided by the owner’s not the tour operator’s. Also in the rooms for use was travel plug, toaster, microwave, kettle, hair dryer, ceiling fan and oscillating fan. In the bar area food was available and a wide range of drinks, food up until about 8pm and the bar was open until 2am, but one night our eating plans fell apart and the staff were good enough and kind enough to make us something a little later that evening. The location of the San Lorenzo was at the top of a hill, we booked knowing this and when we arrived I was a little disappointed when someone had described it as a hill, but as the fortnight went on the hill got steeper, but that may have been down to the earthquake that we experienced while we were there, nothing to serious though, or the extra weight gained by some of the very good restaurants and Tavernier’s that were just a nice short walk away. The staff, at the San Lorenzo was just the icing on the cake for me, and just to mention a few, there was Adele the polite, friendly and informative Greek speaking English lady, Olympia, the very debonair again polite, friendly and informative Greek lady whom speaks 5 languages and then there’s Dorothy the crazy one, lots of fun, again polite, friendly, informative, I found can be a bit of a double act when with Olympia great fun to be around. I have never missed a place and the staff like this ever before. I really hope to return in the not to distant future.

"San Lorenzo Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We have just returned from 2 weeks holiday at San Lorenzo in Lassi. This is the 2nd time in 3 years that we have been, this time taking our young daughter. I think the only thing that had changed was the bar staff and cleaning staff were even friendlier not that they weren't previously. The whole San Lorenzo complex is kept so clean. Your apartments are throughly cleaned everyday and your towels are changed daily and bedding was I think changed about 2/3 times during our stay. The pool is still lovely and clean and the babys pool is great. It isn't chlorinated and is emptyied each day and cleaned. And it is also cleaned out if they are any accidents! There is also a play area for children with a number of different toys. The food in the bar is reasonably basic snack food but is nice and well priced.
Another great holiday at San Lorenzo, we will be going back for a 3rd time.

"San Lorenzo Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The San Lorenzo Village is one of the best apartments we have been to in Greece. The rooms are well equipt with fridge, microwave, 2 cooking rings, hairdryer and CD player/alarm clock. When we arrived we had complimentary fruit, tea, coffee and water, which was a nice touch. It is spotlessly clean, with daily maid service/towel changes and bedding changes every few days. The pool area and grounds (including children's playground) are well maintained. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
We got married during our stay and were given a bottle of bubbly by the staff - again, a nice touch.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these apartments to anyone! Lassi itself is a lovely resort for couples and families who enjoy eating out and quiet bars. We held our wedding reception in the Monte Nero, which was very nice. Another good family restaurant was Mystic Gusto. The beaches in Lassi are very good, with Long Beach offering a great range of water sports! The capital, Argostoli, is close by and offers more in the way of shops, nightclubs, cashpoints etc. It's about a 35 minute walk from Lassi, but a taxi is only 5 euros.
We've been to Greece many times, but could not believe how friendly the locals were here - everyone we met took the time to talk to us! We will definitely be going back!!!

Overall Hotel Rating:
These apartments were spotless and immaculate in every way. The grounds were very well kept and the colours of the flowers were just amazing. Everything you could possibly want was here for you, and the studio that we had was spacious and very well equipped, with cold water in the fridge on arrival and other little welcome touches. We had no complaints here at all and everything was quite close to hand too. Also the staff were very friendly and the lady that owned these apartments with her husband was very friendly and made sure you had a holiday to remember.
All in all these are first class in every way and if you have booked this place you have made an excellent choice!!!!!!!!!!

"San Lorenzo Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We had a great time in Kefalonia!!!
The San Lorenzo Village is lovely. The views from the complex are really nice- looking over the sea. Our apartment was spacious and had really good facilities. The pool was really nice and never got over crowded. The pool bar did some nice food and was well priced although it sometimes took a while to be served and the food often took a while to be ready. The rooms do not have air con but they do have a ceiling fan. They are cleaned daily which was nice. There is a steep hill up to the apartments but its worth it. The complex was really attractive, with lovely grounds.
Lassi is basically a long road which eventually leads to Argostolli (the capital). There are lots of restaurants, bars and beach shops along Lassi. Our favourite restaurants were: Zorba's (on greek dancing night!!), The Golden Dragon and Sidaki's. Our favourite bar was Il Gibiano's, Panos the bar man was a right laugh! Beware of the very strong cocktails!!! We went to Argostoli a few nights which was a nice change. We got a taxi which was 5 euro but you can walk. There is a big square with lots of bars, restaurants, shops and night clubs. Lots of the locals go to Argostoli. Our favourite restaurant here was Mythos. ITS GORGEOUS!!! Also a little Indian restaurant off one of the side streets was lovely.
The beach in Lassi is very attractive. The sea is so clear. It does get busy though, we only spent one afternoon on the beach (we liked being by the pool so much!). We went on 1 day trip in the whole 2 weeks. It was the glass bottom boat trip. It was good and im glad i went but i think it was rather over priced for what you get.
Ok well that pretty much everything. We met loads of great people and would definatly recommend and go back to the San lorenzo Village!!

"San Lorenzo Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This was our second visit to the San Lorenzo Apartment and yet again we had a fantastic holiday. The apartments are up quite a steep hill but it really only takes 5 minutes to reach them, once you have, you will realise that it's all well worth the climb as the view is wonderful. The apartments are exceptionally clean and well run with ceiling fans, hairdryer, CD Radio,Fridge and microwaves all supplied in the rooms. If you do not want the hassle of taking beach towels with you then don't as you can hire beach towels for 10 euros per towel and can change them as often as you wish and at the end of the holiday when you hand the towels back you recieve your 10 euros back!!
There are plenty of very good restaurants in Lassi such as Sirtaki and so simple. If you wish to visit Argostoli then simply flag a taxi down and for 5 euros he will take you into the centre, try La Gondola Restaurant right in the centre square as the food is divine, also Captains Table and the resturant right next door to this is also very good!!If you are hiring a car then you must try to visit Fiscardo as it's just beautiful and also Mytos beach as you will not find a nicer beach anywhere!!!Cash machines cannot be found in Lassi and therefore you will have to go into Argostoli but try not to rely on them at week-ends as they soon run out of cash but are ok in the week, and there are quite a number to choose from.
If you are considering this as your next holiday then go for it as you will not be disappointed. We will certainly return in a couple of years time.

This is our second time to lassi the first was in 2003 ,its good to see the bars and restaurants still offer excellent value for money,
As for the san Lorenzo Village it is by far the best Accomodation i have stayed in... it's so so good. From all the goodies that you are given on arrival in the apartments, to the staff and thats from the cleaners to the bar staff. Even the bar food is of a very high standard.
If i tell you anymore you will have nothing to explore when you get there.
Do yourselfs a big big favour book up for 2007 at the village but do it early the village is very well liked.
You will certainly do your holiday money justice if you do.
we will return one day thats for sure.

"San Lorenzo Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We went to San Lorenzo at the end of June for two weeks and had a fantastic time.
The apartments and grounds are absolutely spotless. The staff are friendly, the views are stunning and the pool is spacious with lots of beds for everyone no matter what time of day you went to get one.
The food at the pool bar is good and reasonably priced, as were the drinks.
There is one main road in Lassi which has virtually all of the restaurants and bars on it and in two weeks, we never had a bad meal. The food was typically Greek and the standard and prices seemed to be similar wherever we went.
We ate in Argosoli in the square one night and that did cost more but it was excellent and worth every penny.
The beach at Lassi is lovely and the sea is exceptionally clear. However, it did tend to get quite crowded.
The people on Kefalonia are really, genuinely friendly and do seem to love children.
We hired a car to go around the island and managed to get to most places. The scenery is spectacular and it seemed that every corner you drove round bought a more beautiful view than the last.
The one draw back with the apartments is that there is no air conditioning. There are fans and mosquito nets to the windows so you can leave them open and we managed quite well. There was only one night when we couldn't sleep because of the heat. However, we didn't go at the hottest part of the year and I don't know what it would be like there in August.
Lassi is a great choice if you want somewhere that is Greek but not over commercialised and is ideal for a family holiday. The apartments are superb and you would not be disappointed if you went.
Lying by the pool about 5 o'clock when it's just starting to get to a more bearable temperature, looking out over the bay and watching the swallos skim the pool for a drink is a memory I will carry for a very long time.

Overall Hotel Rating:
Me and my son thought the holiday itself was absolutely brilliant. The facilities in all were 100 per cent throughout. Accomodation we couldnt fault although we ate out every night. The apts were a 5 minute walk to the pool and the beach was a ten minute walk and when we saw the beach it was breathtaking. My son did nothing but snorkel and loved every minute while i basked in the sun. Must say this was the best holiday ive ever had. Kefalonia is absolutely beautiful and is a must have holiday. i will be returning next year as there is loads to see and do. The excursion we went on was the kefalonian discovery which cost 70 euros for both of us and we covered most things i intended to see.The scenery is stunning and the history is very interesting. Beaches are out of this world.
Kefalonia to me is without a doubt the best!

"San Lorenzo Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We have just returned from our best holiday yet!
We are regular travellers to the Greek islands and always expect basic, so upon arrival here we were pleasantly surprised. The accomodation was extremely clean (maid service daily,)well maintained and of a reasonable size. We were a little concerned when booking as there was no air con, however due to having a ceiling fan and a freestanding fan in the room we did not find this a problem. The kitchen area was more than adequate and there was also a hairdryer and radio/cd player for added comfort. We also had a shared patio which we found nice to enjoy a drink on in the evenings getting to know our neighbours, (Dave and Stacey, we miss you already!)The grounds were always well maintained, along with the pool and pool bar. Drinks at the pool bar were very reasonably priced as were the snacks available.
The resort itself is lovely, plenty of restaurants to choose from - we never had a bad meal in our fortnights holiday! Some of the best restaurants were; Monte Nero, Nefeli and Veronicas. One thing that we would suggest is, don't listen to other peoples opinions on restaurants as everyones tastes are different! If you want a relaxing drink of an eveing we would recommend Sirtaki garden - great setting and atmosphere.
A trip to Argostoli is a must, only 5 euros to get there by taxi. Fantastic restaurants and atmosphere, however if going in peak season you may have to wait for a table as it gets very busy. Would strongly recommend 'Mythos' restaurant. Our best meal of the holiday and not expensive. We hired a car and its the best (and cheapest) way to see the beautiful island and its easy to find your way around.
Our only slight negative comment is with regards to an excursion that we booked through out tour operator, the Onassis cruise. Many people raved about it but we felt the boat was overcrowded for the amount of time on board and it wasnt exclusive to thomson. It was interesting to hear about the Onassis legacy but the only highlight of the trip was the 2 hour stop in Nidri on the island of Lefkas. Again a beautiful place and would recommend 'The Barrel' restaurant here for lunch. All in all, an excellent holiday. We would definitely recommend and are considering a return next year!
