The weather was poor overall and sometimes that can cloud your view of the experience. We were pleased we'd chosen a nice hotel, because that's important if you end up spending more time there than you'd expected. We've had great holidays in Turkey, when the rooms have been bare but the weather scorching. Skala was a little disappointing, meals expensive and certainly not memorable. We find that the Greeks try to cook what they think we'll like rather than what they are good at, but then you can't please everyone. Glad we had the car too, as trips were very expensive.

Skala is a fairly quiet resort, several bars and restaurants but none really noisy so if thats what you're looking for its perfect. Very close to the beach. The take away pizza slices at Veto's are fantastic. And Flamingo restaurant is fab.

Overall
We've been several times but couldn't go this year due to XL. Believe me we were gutted. Its a fab hotel in a perfect spot. The staff are great. We'd recommend anyone to go there.

Best restaurants are Galera Scandinavia & Apostolis - by far the worst is Socrates - have given it two chances & on both occasions food was appalling! For a lunchtime snack Sugar Lemon & Green Paradise are recommended.

Alhough Dionysios is clean & well positioned - I feel it has seen better days & is now looking a bit tired!Have been to several accommodations in Skala over the years & I would rate Natalies as probably the best -

Overall
I travelled on my own to this hotel feeling a little aprehensive, The owner Angela and her staff made me feel very welcome, in fact the whole holiday was a wonderful experience. I would definately go back. Well done all at Aeolos Beach.
