Didn't venture out much apart from trip to Bodrum and the hotel run boat trip to the BBQ lagoon. Therefore, it's scored an average for everything apart from resort :)

Not for young party animals but Kos is small and with a car you can soon get around so boredom shouldn't be an issue -yound people should pick say Kos town or a busier place - Kos town by the way has some beautiful sights/shops/bars etc.

Kos Town and Old Kos Town are the best for history and sites to see its very good and my granddaughter who is 11 enjoyed the ruins, only down side the stray animals every where and has an animal lover was very hard for her.

The resort itself is pretty low key so for nightlife you will need to go into Kos town. By getting the number 1 bus 1.40 euro. There are plenty of Taverna's, shops and sites to see intown.

This particular resort is ok if you stay around the harbour area, and can drive. If you can't drive, public transport is virtualy none existing and no taxis so you have to walk every where.

Just returned from our 3rd visit to Kef and throughly enjoyed the holiday - very peaceful and relaxing - which is why we like it.

Prices in the bars and restaurants were about the same as a couple of years ago.

Kos is not the prettiest of the Greek Islands but we felt so at home. The beaches are not the best but they are OK. Plenty of places to eat and drink and there is a Variety of Night life available

Kefalos review

"Relaxing and Chilled"

80%
of reviewers would recommend this
resort to a friend

Open quote

Chilled and relaxing, no touting for bars and restaurants, very friendly people, will do anything to help. Just enough of everything, If you want a chilled, relaxing resort then this is the place. Walked twice to paradise beach took about 45 mins. Make sure you take some drinks and food as only one restaurant open at the top, looks like they were working on a hut on the beach, maybe to sell drinks ? Beach in kefalos just as nice and close to shops, Jims supermarket could not have been more helpful. Well worth hiring a sunbed and umbrella. 7.00 euros for 2 sunbeds and one brolly, maybe dearer as the season goes on but we were there May 2010. Well worth hiring a car, 35.00 euros for the day. Then you can come back and see you picked the right resort to stay in.
