Marmari is a small village with only a few shops bars and hire shops the beaches are clean but there is no need to go there as the hotel beach is also great and has it's own bar .

Marmari is a very quiet resort with only a couple of shops and several restaurants so there isn't much. The beach is lovely and the people are very friendly.

Plenty of water sports to do and a few supermarkets to shop in good bars and restaurants to eat and drink and plenty of lovely beaches to top up your tan.

You don't have to go anywhere once in the village we only went out once on a trip but we went through Kefalos - so my opinion isnt a good one.

There was very little open, most of the tavernas were closed. The beaches with sunbeds and parasoles were expensive.

overall it was excellent. the beach was lovely, the water was clear and the sand was lovely. i stayed all inclusive but when i went into the town and had a drink and snack out in town it was reasonably priced where i went. the Hotel entertainment was was great, didn't venture out the hotel at night as traveled with a 4 year old. I would sugest a trip to Kos Town, the bus stop was outside the hotel and took about 10 minutes and the bus fare was cheap.

We visited the town during the day to see the harbour, and look round the shops. We didn't venture into the town at night, but there were plenty of bars.

we ate at hippacrates every night for two weeks,the food and the service was amazing, nik and tony were great, the best place to eat in kefalos... its well recommended

just a great place to take it easy and enjoy the weather, food, drink and atmosphere!Explore all the roads leading from and around Kefalos old village, you never know where they lead you but you'l enjoy the fantastic views and find the unexpected

Kardamena seems like a lovely little town and it has a beautiful harbour. However, it has clearly been hit by the economy.

Many of the shops and bars were closed, and although it was early in the season when we visited, it didn't look like they planned to open. All inclusive holidays have obviously had a devastating effect on the restaurants and bars and the vibe was quite desparate.

There are lots of gift shops but nothing is particularly cheap and it appears that strict baggage allowances cause people to be reluctant to buy much to take home. That said, the locals are really friendly.

It's worth noting that cigarettes cost the same at Kardamena airport as they do in the resorts so don't bother stocking up in town.

Kos is a nice place and the beaches are lovely however during May we found that there were no water sports or much to do, the boat trips run at a reduced frequency and the bars are quiet.

will definately be going back there, an excellent place for families, We also met some nice people there who we will meet there again. I would say though that in peak season it amy get a bit crowded in the main restaurant. However, the Greek restaurant is fantastic.

KeFalos has lost its Sparkel , sadly ..... every Weer Closing ...Lots of Pools not Filled Up !!!! Grass needs Cutting ( we went 3rd May but shold still be OPEN & Reddeeee every ONE ! Bars had NO Draff Beer ..... Not Much in Shops ..... ONLY ASDA was Full of Goods Veg Food , but other Super Markets EmPtee ! If you wont People to keep coming Back Kefalonions then LOOK aFTER every body ...Early MAY & late OCTOBER ..... wiLL give it a Miss for a Few YEARS SorrY .... KOS Town was Dirty as WeLL !!!!

Now Kefalos Has Lots of Great BARs TavernAs ....Resturants ... & most Kefalonions ARE BRILL .... But Sum Dont CARE Sorry .

Our favourite place, Kos Town. Also visited 4 years ago before we had a baby and toured all of the historic areas. Lovely tavernas on harbour front, great gifty shops. A mini bar street for the clubbers. Lovely people. A place close to our hearts
