The resort of Kardamena is loud brash, dirty and not at all attractive. There are lots of loud noisy bars with touts standing outside calling holidaymakers to go in. The music coming from the bars is at such a level that you cannot hear what anyone is saying even outside of the bars. The beach is just a scrubby strip of sand littered with oil covered pebbles.
The sea is excellent for snorkelling though as there are plenty of rocks!

We only drove through the town of Kardamena but it didn't look like there was much there. Perhaps it was too early in the season but it looked a bit run-down and deserted.

sadari isnt an attractive resort. its quiet small but there are lots of pubs, bars and resturants to find. we met lots of people who go back year after year.
i think the problems is that corfu just doesnt promote its self so its hard to get a feel for it and any of the places that you really see.
corfu town is well worth going to. lots of designer knock off stuff. louis vuiton, chanel, prada etc going cheaply great to eat out. its more sophisticated than i thought it was going to be. lots of musuems, gallery and really good shops to visit.
if you are going to do anydaytrips then avoid horseriding. a complete waste of time and the horses are very sad looking. a complete waste of money but do pay and go to albania for the day. its a long day but well worth the visit to the ruins.
another thing, think twice before changing your money at home. in sadari you could get 116. to the pound even with 2% charge i would still of been better off than the 109. i got in marks and spencers.

I dont understand why people have given Kefalos such good reviews. from our hotel there were at least 7 other unfinshed hotels within the view of our room. I would say that Kefalos may have once been fairly nice but it seems that the builders have upped and left leaving it looking more like a building site in places. It is not picturesque and has a feeling of it wanting to be a night club resort. The beach front has tavernas all the way down, but there is practically no variety in the menus. We would reccomend Captain Johns as the best although its not brilliant. Kefalos reminded me of an old run down British seaside resort, but i honestly think that is what they are trying to achieve! It needs cleaning up and some investment if it wants to attract families and couples. If it just wants the hen and stag parties then it can probably stay as it is. Kos town is fab! Great food, lovely scenery, international atmospehere. Worth a visit. Beaches are OK in Kefalos, although a little stoney in places. If you wnat a fabulous Greek holiday experience go to Kefalonia. There is no comparison.

The resort is great if you want to Pay,pay, pay, there are 6 hotels and you pay for everything forget all inclusive. They say the facility is there like aircon and internet but you have to pay, pay, pay so go loaded. We used the little shop on the complex, a beach ball was 15Euro!! goodluck

Rubbish resort. Dying a death turning into a ghost town. Nothing but a few mediocre bars and restaurants.

Kardamena review
"Very run down and deteriorating fast"
resort to a friend
As one of the travel shop reps said to us when we were booking an excursion, Kardamena is really taking a battering. People have stopped going, prices are going up and it really is turning into a ghost town. Drinks cost probably as much as they do in the UK, and now the Pound has plummeted, you will end up paying a fortune if you dont go all inclusive. We stayed for 2 weeks and in the 2nd week hired a moped. We ended up keeping it for 4 days. Twice we travelled to Paradise Beach (which is definately better than the hotel beaches), And twice we went over to Kos Town (which i would recommend staying if i ever went to kos again). But Kardamena is like a run down Blackpool (and if you have been to Blackpool lately, you will know that that is quite an accusation!). It really is that bad. Only recommended for party animals and those with a bit of cash to boot. One more point to mention is that if you have time, you must go the Hot Springs. It is right past Kos Town until you can go any further. I wont spoil it, but you must go and experience for yourselves.

Party Town, nothing great for families but loads and loads of clubs and bars. If you want a lively clubbing holiday with lots of bars this is perfect. If you have kids or are a couple then this is not for you, the whole resort is geared for loud nights out

Mamari is so small (one street) you cannot call it a resort the only life was from the surrounding hotels and if your hotel does not do entertainment you cannot get access to other hotels as security is pretty high.
