"Simply The Best"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Bahamas has got to be the most friendly hotel in Kos. From the moment you walk in you are able to relax and enjoy your much deserved holiday. The pool area is clean and well kept with loads of sun beds. The pool snacks are ample and affordable and always fresh. The rooms are clean and have Air Con(payable but required) and the shower is almost a power shower. The bar area is always lively with either Costas or Billy in charge with an excellent choice of beers, spirits and soft drinks. Great BBQ night plus bingo and quiz and great Sky coverage

"Relaxing, fun, quiet, scenic, cultural.."
Overall Hotel Rating:
What a fantastic little hotel, people and the best holiday experiences iv had! I am planning my 3rd visit back because i know, unlike other places iv revisited, i will have the best holiday, i wont feel like i need another holiday when i get back!! Costas, Billy and Mary make a fanastic team and would do anything for you. all you have to do is ask them! in fact they are my friends now like alot of other ppl that have visited and are all still in touch. The hotel is cleaned daily including rooms. The beds are so comfy, and the rooms spacious enough, there is a handy dressing table and a large wardrobe, side tables hairdriers are provided. Towels are freshly provided daily to. If you run out of anything then ask! Every room has a balcony with a table and chairs and its the perfect spot to watch the sun set with a glass of wine at the end of an evening! The food is yummy! Cooked by mama, she offers a wide range of food hot and cold, from salads, pasta, to fry ups (which is very nice!) There are bar snack, ice cream and you must try the frappe! The breakfast in the morning is basic but fresh n filling n u can have as much as you like. There is a news agents 30 seconds from the hotel, anything that you would want the kind lady has and shes helpful 2. The hotel has a lovely view over the swimming pool and into some mountains. George (papa) tends to the pool, n barbeque, garden. He keeps it very well. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the town where the are 2 many bars 2 choose from, loads of restaurants and shops. I reccommend the boomerange restaurant and you must try the traditional foods of kos. I thoroughly reccommend this hotel to anyone. Costas, Billy, Mary, Papa and Mama strive to make every individuals stay an enjoyable one what ever its is you chose to do. Tours of the island are offerd which is a must, and loads of entertainment. Bingo, kareoke, a greek evening with lots of dancing laughing and drinking. A fantastic 2 holidays im goin back to see my friends soon cant w8!!

"Wish I was there!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
I have stayed at the Bahamas twice now with my family and had 2 excellent holidays - it is easy to see why people return year after year. The hotel is situated on a quiet road but isn't far from the centre of Kos Town. As it is a small, family run hotel, all the guests soon get to know each other. The hotel is spotlessly clean, has an excellent pool area to relax and lovely poolside snack bar where Mama will cook u something tasty! The best thing however is the very friendly and welcoming staff: Mama, George, Billy,Costas and Mary, from your very first day they will greet you by name and we can honestly say we have made lifelong friends. I particularly enjoyed the Greek Barbeque night - great food and Mary made sure everyone was up dancing! Can't wait to return very soon!

"Another great holiday"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Our 6th visit and still as good as the first. Billy or Costas are always there with a friendly greeting. Whether you want to relax around the pool or find something a bit more lively the choice is yours, Barbecue nights definatly a must, great food, great entertainment. Many great nights in the bar, quiz and bingo nights are great fun (if you want to join in). The pool table is also a feature of entertainment, but beware of ex snooker players that turn a 15 min game into 1 1/2 hours(ha ha)Cannot comment on breakfast as we had so many late nights in the bar didnt make once, but the pool snack bar has a good menu with resonable prices. Sending best wishes to Billy,Costa,Sula,George and family. Not forgeting best wishes to Mary. See you all next year.

"disappointing"
Overall Hotel Rating:
just returned from kos on saturday 4th oct 2008. booked this hotel due to the many rave reviews well some people must be easily pleased hotel was clean but in our room socket hanging off wall exposing bare wires only fixed 2 days before we came home .clean towels only every 4 days, breakfast eaten in bar no dining room, fruit juice was an insult very very diluted orange squash no taste we bought our own ,only jam , peach or strawberry no marmalade while not expecting a banquet and only having toast and marmalade for breakfast at home did think there would be an alternative to jam on offer bar a very depressing area horel set in scrubland surrounded by half fininshed apartment blocks.pool area was nice but a charge for a matress for the sunbeds.would i go again to kos yes to the bahamas no way

"The friendliest place we've ever stayed"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We stayed at here in June, and agree with many previous reviewers that this is great place to stay. Everyone makes you very welcome from the moment you arrive. Costas and Billy are so helpful and Mary really a great laugh. We hired some cycles and rode to Tijaki beach (it is a lovely beach) The bus service is good and you can get about Kos easily and cheaply, if you don't fancy hiring a car - we went to Zia on the bus. Its only 10 mins walk to the harbour - its lovely there at night - a great place to people watch while you're having a drink. You're spoilt for choice when deciding where to eat out at night - theres plenty of places to suit all tastes. A very good holiday all round.

"3rd Visit And Still 'Sound'"
Overall Hotel Rating:
After a two year break we returned to the Bahamas Hotel for a third time and glad to say every bit as enjoyable as I remember and hoped. Costas and Billy were as welcoming as ever and Mary as energetic and ‘mad’ as ever. We were pleased to see all their families fit and well.
The hotel has not changed and all the numerous positives about this place still apply. This is still the friendliest hotel in Greece and we will return without any doubt as we and many others have in the past.
Thank you Costas, Billy, Mary, Mama, George and Sarah for making this a really relaxing holiday.
PS If you really want to get your holiday off on the right footing – take some Nik Naks over for Mary.

"june 2008"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Just come back from 2 fantastic weeks at the Bahamas Hotel. Rooms basic but very clean. The staff at the hotel could not be better, they cannot do enough for you and are very friendly. We met some lovely people there, friendly and down to earth. Round the pool in the daytime is peaceful and there is plenty of shade. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants peace and quiet during the day, a bit of life in the evenings and near enough to the centre so it is there if you want it.

"Bahamas Hotel review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Bahamas Hotel is run by a wonderful family, Billy, Costas, Sula and George. They like to treat their guests as individuals, you are greeted and welcomed like long lost friends. Their hotel has excellent decor and is impeccably clean. The hotel is in a peaceful location, 10 minutes walk from the town, with a supermarket/papershop virtually opposite. Our rooms were spacious with twin beds, plenty of wardrobe space, bathroom, balcony and fridge. The rooms were cleaned daily after 9.30am. Breakfast was included, but because of late evenings in the bar, and the peacefulness, we only woke early enough twice. Breakfast is self service, but it is well organized and you can have as much as you want. When we missed breakfast we ate at Sula's poolside bar her full english breakfast (6euro)is double everything with juice and tea/coffee. She also offered a varied menu of snacks, any requests were catered for. In fact if they had had an evening meal menu we would never have gone out! The bar is run by Billy, Costas and Mad Mary. Mary is in fact mad in the nicest possible way, she is warm, friendly and has a wicked sense of humour. She provides great evening entertainment (which you can't really get in the town), quizzes, bingo, Karaoke etc. The bar has a great choice of drinks, alcopops etc for the kids, and John Smiths for the hubby. He says Billy keeps an excellent pint and he should know he drank several barrels! George keeps the pool immaculately and lilo's and balls are available for anyone. We met lots of nice people, many of whom were repeat visitors and we would not hesitate to return. I have already recommended The Bahamas to our friends. All in all, the hotel was fantastic! the weather was fantastic! and Billy we love you!
