We have just arrived back from our first visit to Kos we had a great time overall.

We would definatly recommend Oasis restaurant very freindly and lovely food and nice staff also George Garden Demi and George are the perfect hosts they make you feel so welcome. We hired a car for 3 days which was well worth it to visit different parts of the island , the beach at Kefalos is lovely not packed like lambi beach and plenty of watersports.We never had a problem getting a bed round the pool the food from the snack bar was nice. Cleaning was minimal the apartment was not mopped in the whole two weeks of our stay we received clean towels after about 4 days and bed linen. The bins were emptied every couple of days.

Oh and DONT FORGET to take your own toilet rolls as they will charge.Oh and also watch out for the local crazy youths on motorcycles when your making your way down the dark lanes to the apartments as they may pelt you with yogurt as we witnessed several times

Myself and colm went to Kos last year on June 19 for 2weeks! it was the best hol ive had so far. the weather was soo nice, sun everyday

The apartments are 10/15 walk from town. they were immaculate, pool was gorgeous and there was no days in the two weeks where there was no free beds, even after 11 or 12! if you wanted a cushion for the lounger it cost ?1 a day, very reasonable. the pool bar had lovely food, the usual sandwiches, salads etc. the staff were always helpful. they allowed us stay in our apt an extra day for e20 coz we wernt getin picked up till 2.45 that morning. beware of the cockral @ 5 in the morning though - very loud!

our last night in kos, greece won the European cup. the atmosphere was something else! fireworks, cars and people everywhere. i will never forget it!

we travelled to Turkey for the day trip (the only trip we took - didnt hear great reports on the rest). dont book with your tour operator. it was costing e45p/p with them and we bought the trip locally for ?30 in total. Turkey was soo hot,nearly unbearable. we got the Turkish massage, we both would recommend that - sooo relaxing! loads of stalls in the market and if you are getting cigerattes get them in Turkey. only e15 (i think) for 200 benson!!! bargain!!

we ate in Don Antonios (italian) and the chinese restaurant rite besite dolphin roundabout - both wer sooo nice and really cheap! one bad experience with a restaurant half way in the town towards bar street with a wooden exterior and a woman with blond hair trying to get you in.....DONT GO THERE!! myself and colm couldnt believe how rotten it was..and i just got lasagne, how can you go sooo wrong with that!!!

we drank in Shananigans and Fashion. great value in fashion for cocktails..2 for ?6 and they wer fairly strong. they had so many to chose from. heard the fashion nightclub was crap though. Shananigans was great craic, karoke and loads of cocktails.

i wasnt too impressed with bar street, we just went once or twice, really expensive and mad q's for the unisex toilets.

we hired bikes and cycled to Tingaki beach, lovely and quiet but make sure you wear loads of suncream on the bikes...i learned the hard way! and if you dont want big white ring around yer eyes..less of the sunglasses...colm learned the hard way!!! not much in Tingaki but the beach, the rest of it is really run down.

altogether the best holiday ever..would recommend it to any age group. were going to Zante this june so hope its as nice..will let you know when we get back!!!
