christina apartments are just what you want on holiday, friendly staff, costa and pepe will do anything for you, great cheap breakfast which sets you up for the day especially when you have kids,very clean rooms, excellant maid service, nice friendly little bar at night, quiet and relaxing, perfect!

Mastihari is a beautiful resort. Don't go if you want lively nightlife, but for a restful and peaceful holiday it's absolutely ideal. We stayed for two weeks at the Christina studios. The rooms are very clean (they are cleaned most days except weekends) and the showers have curtains and are mounted on the wall! We also had a kettle and sandwich toaster. Our only complaint was that a barking dog kept us awake at night but have to say that this wasn't heard by everyone in the apartments.

As for the restaurants - we didn't have a bad meal anywhere but certainly have some recommendations. If you want and like traditional food, then you must eat at the Traditional House. All their ingredients are organic and most grown on their own farm. The vegetables were lovely and we were given such delights as fried aubergines, green beans with tomatoes, cannelini beans with herbs, all of which tasted delicious. Be warned though - portions are large! This restaurant is set back off the beach and is the first or last that you come to when walking along the beach walk depending on which way you're going! Others to recommend at Kala Kardia (great sea bass but on the menu as ";fish portion";!!) and Retro for pasta. The Chef Secret dish is lovely. For a friendly drink try the Three Brothers (behind Kala Kardia), Horizon Bar (on the beach) and the Bali Bar (to the right of the harbour) which has a great atmosphere. All the bars and restaurants will give you a complimentary drink or nuts/crisps.

We can thoroughly recommend the resort if you want a nice quiet holiday and will definitely visit Mastihari again.
