Irene Apartments Reviews

Irene Appts are basic but clean and well looked after. It has a fair sized pool and pool bar that is regulary used by all. Plenty of sun loungers so relaxing not a problem.
The appts are family run by father and sons Elias, Nikos and Jack. They treat the guests like their own family and are genuine and cannot do enough for you.
They do all the cooking in the poolside bar and the food is very good and reasonably priced. The english breakfast is very good.
Many people use the bar at night and when everyone is together the atmosphere is brilliant.

We got bikes out from DAVIDS which is just down the road from Irene. They were helpfull and cheap.
We went to the BBQ night and Quiz night that the Irene have weekly and they were excellent and both worth going to. Especially the BBQ that Elias organises really well. Plenty of food and lots of greek dancing, usually with his extended family that turn up for the evening.
There are a couple of tavernas close by (Give THE GARDEN BBQ a wide berth) but the better ones are on the sea front.(bottom of road and turn right, youll know what i mean when youre there.)
Best one by a long way was Taverna Akrogiali. Food was excellent and cheap with great sunset and turkey veiws. Try the lamb kleftico and meatballs.

We had a brilliant week at the irene and together with the fantastic people we met (Jo,Becky,Chris,Marc,Kim,Paul,Emma,Sue,Chris,Cassie and EDDIE!), would not hesitate to go back.
