" Quiet and relaxing"

We got a good deal for a cheap couple of weeks at the beginning of the school summer holidays so can't complain at the price at all. The family are lovely and work so hard but....the apartments aren't the cleanest, there is no air conditioning (stifling in the height of summer) and the apartments are a good 25 minute walk (down a very dark) road to the beginning of the Tingaki shops and restaurants. Having said all that, the pool area is great and the apartments are large with balcony front and bak and beautiful views. All in all a mixed review really. PS paid 20euros to keep apartment til midnight on the day of departure but after that you have to sit outside in the dark until your pick up time while they clean your apartment ready for the next guests. Bar not open so quite a long boring wait and when the family have finished cleaning they go to bed so a bit eerie alone in the pitch black!

"Ideal for quiet time"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Good

The rooms are very basic, and the apartments are quite far out from the main Tingaki strip, so would proably be ideal for some quiet-seekers, but at the time, we were 2 19year old single girls and while we hate the club 18-30 scene, a little bit more life would have been appreciated!

The owener of the apartments was described by our rep as a 'big friendly giant', but he was more gruff, sulking giant with little english! We managed to lose our key one night and naturally he must have been p'ed of to have to change the locks, but he didn't even try to conceal it!

The apartments are nicem clean and quiet, but I would definitely hire bikes as walking into town takes a while. and take a travel kettle!

These apartments are basic but very spacious, they are cleaned once a week with new sheets and towels. The pool area is lovely with spectacular views of the mountains all around. Set in beautiful gardens the pool is very clean with enough sunbeds to go around. It never feels crowded at all. The pool bar serves snack and food and a huge range of drinks too. We were made very welcome and the staff can't do enough to make sure you're happy, they work very hard indeed!. I would recommend hiring some sort of transport, as the walk to nearest supermarket is good 15 minute trek, and in this heat is no easy task. We hired bikes which were cheap, and a fantastic way to get off the beaten track, and visit the beaches and local sights. We had a wonderful holiday here, would recommend this place.

You will love this resort, it's simple and quiet. The rooms are basic but functional, I would recommend taking a travel kettle if you want tea or coffee without putting the electric ring on the cooker all the time. You will need transport as the walk to the main part of Tigaki is at least 20 minutes away, so a bike/car is a must but barter with the local hire shops, there are several around and they will/should deliver. The location is remote, but you have great views of the countryside and it is peaceful.

Matina - the owner and mother of Lefteris (Terry), speaks mainly Greek to you, it helps if you can learn to say a few words, Good Morning (Kali Mera), please (Parakalo) and thankyou (Efharisto) in Greek before you go, believe me it goes a long way if you do.

The 10 apartments are looked after by Matina who works all hours, you will see her round the pool during the day, in the pool snack bar, where the Salad is a must and everything is very reasonably priced.

Twice a week Matina's daughter comes to help with the changeovers and a change of towels and linen.

Lefteris works during the day but you will see him at lunch time when he comes home to help his mother, this is probably the best time to ask for information or discuss any issues you have with your room, (Matina will help you though if you show her what you need.) you will see him at night too, walking round the grounds and putting the chemicals in the pool. There is an abundance of fruit on the trees and often Matina will give some to you.

Your Olympic rep should be on hand to help with any local information, buses, taxis and where to go. The one trip I went on organised by the rep it was quite good, except for the fact that you had to pay entrance fees to two of the attractions. There are tour organisers in Tingaki (Tigaki) who do similar trips which include lunch and entrance charges in the cost of the trip.

Restaurants are abundant in Tigaki, we went to Nisiotiko which had lovely food, fairly reasonably priced too, Rodini (looks like PODINI on the sign) are family run, have good food and are cheap. Sagittarius is lovely, their food is good but you pay for your bread???, they are pricey too, but you will not be dissappointed. There are some great bars there too, Karma Bar has Cocktails at 3?, the guy who works there is a real character.

I've had a wonderful relaxing week in the Agrotica, no complaints about anything in Kos. You will enjoy your holiday it's guaranteed.

Arrived with my wife and 2 friends in a thunderstorm after over an hour delay in Bristol. Then told our luggage would be delayed due to the rain. They didn't tell us that it was left out on the runway and so was soaking wet together with most of the contents.Boarded the coach and were first to be dropped off having been told a rep would be waiting-he wasn't.Found our room but friends could not find theirs-pitch black(5.15am). The rep arrived after about 20 mins and room found. Not the best of starts to say the least.
The appartments were basic as described by others but what we are used to in the Greek Islands. Was cleaned every other day where usually the bin at least is emptied every day.

Had visited the resort once before so knew what to expect.Walked in most days after having a car for the first 3 days.
Found several friendly and good bars and ate at a different taverna nightly.I think the walking times given in the Olympic brochure are a bit optamistic-and we do a lot of walking.
Booked trips to Turkey/Patmoss/Kefalos with a local agent who were brilliant-even collecting us from our appartment in their own car for one trip.

All in all was a very good holiday after a bad start-we later learned we were lucky as 2 flights before us had to divert to Rhodes.
One moan-to keep your room after mid-day costs 30 euros which I thought expensive.

We arrived in Tingaki in the early hours of the morning and were a bit surprised how far off the beaten track the appartments were.

The next morning we decided to walk to the beach - a very long walk, especially with 2 children! The apartments were basic but clean, unfortunately we had to have 2 rooms as there were 3 beds in each (they could easily fit in another bed and we would only have to book one room).

The beach itself was lovely, very clean and there were always plenty of sunbeds to hire at very reasonable prices (3 euros each). Lots of very good bars along the main road - our favourites: Meditteranea and Sagitarrius but would not go at the end of October again as most of them were closing for the end of the season.

The apartments are family owned, the Mother is a very sweet lady but does not speak any English and talks to you constantly in Greek! Her Son spoke better English but tended to be a bit rude, always wanting to know how long we were planning to stay by the pool and if we were going anywhere. The pool itself was clean and we had it to ourselves most of the time which was very nice, although the water was very cold! For our return trip the coach to the airport wasn't collecting us until 2am but we had to vacate our room by 10am unless we were prepared to pay 30 euros and then we could have the room until midnight!

All in all a lovely holiday, a great resort, would definately go back but would stay closer to the resort and wouldn't go at the end of October.
