My husband and I have just come back from Lesvos.
We stayed in the resort of Anaxos.
This Island is totally unspoilt by tourism which was what we were looking for.
This was actually our second time in Lesvos, our first time was visited 6 years ago and it has not changed at all

I would only recommend this Island if you want total relaxation, mostly for couples in late thirties onwards.
We stayed at the Studio`s mentioned, which we cannot fault, we were able to use the facilities at the Christina Gardens over the road.
But please be aware of the owner a guy called `Iggy`, he runs this with his wife and he has two daughters, namely Christina and Eleftheria.
We did have a couple of drinks at this establishment, but were told we could settle our bill on next time we were in, please don`t do this, we were stung for 90 euros when we had not even got close to that acmount.
please settle your bill at the end of the night, other guests had the same problem.

Also what he likes to do is keep you waiting when you arrive at the resort, saying that the rooms are not ready, thereby spending money in his bar, after an hour and a half we were shown to our apartment, after a heavy bill with drinks/food etc.

Subsequently we did not go the Christina gardens anymore as it was far cheaper to eat at the beach front, where there are plenty of restuarants/bars etc.

We love this island so much we have bought some land and plan to build our home next year, so well recommended for a quiet relaxing holiday.

We moved from Armonia Apartments to these apartments and could not believe the difference. They were superb. They were only 4 years old and were immaculate. They are built into a hillside so some studios may have been a bit dark but we had a lovely apartment with a bedroom area , kitchen area and living room. Sky TV and air conditioning were available. Bed linen and towels were changed twice a week but the studios were cleaned daily. The apartments had the use of the swimming pool and bar at the sister complex of Christina Gardens which are owned by the same family. Iggy and his wife and 2 girls make you very welcome and guests go back to both complexes year after year. Everywhere is spotless.
