Harris Studio Apartments Reviews

Rose, Haris and the boys are very hospitable and Rose is such a lovely person and will do anything for you. She made the best cup of coffee for 1 Euro we had anywhere during our stay. I can't say I found the room very nice. Cooking a simple breakfast was like a military operation as there was hardly any kitchen area to put things on. Linen and towels were changed regularly, but unfortunately the bins weren't emptied every day which we would have preferable to changing the linen. Pool was very deep, but pool area and pool were kept immaculate. Couldn't wish for a friendler place to stay, but unfortunately we had Studio 4 and we found it basic even by normal Greek standards, sorry! So for that reason we probably wouldn't return here.

What a fantastic chilled out holiday.

An hour and a half transfere time from Airport but well worth it. Anaxos a very quiet resort with friendly locals.We had a studio which was great a double bed and a proper single bed. Shower room with loo basic kitchen but very clean, fantastic air con which was payable locally 83 euros for the 2 weeks pricy but worth it. when we arrived it was 45 degree hot hot hot but did cool down to the 30's. Rose and Haris who own the appartments are lovely along with their son Stavros.

The pool was inviting but quite deep at shallow end up to my shoulders. Lots of sunbeds and parasolls.Pool bar very cheap 1 euro for a soft drink 2 euros for a large bottle of beer.The apartments are about a 10 minute walk to the beach which was quite stoney. Lots of Tavernas on the way.Sky sports if you want it. Supermarkets sell everything Antony's the best very friendly got my Husband a special football shirt of a Greek team that he wanted, also took visa for your cheap cigs and bacca.

Next to the haris a couple of minutes away is the posh Plaza Palace Hotel you can use their pool which is very child friendly do a good full english for 5 euros and a fantasic Greek night with the traditional dancing and a bbq well worth the money. Please do the Donkey treck what a laugh especially the night one side saddle on a donkey for half an hour to this lovely little cove a fantastic bbq with all drinks included then back on the donkeys in the moonlight and stars. well worth the experiance. 10 mins on the bus brings you to Petra a lovely little village buisier than Anaxos then a further 15 mins on the bus Molyvos had a fantastic meal on the harbour massive king prawns , octopuss, red mullet, red snapper all fresh with heads and tails intact washed down with the local wine and a fab sunset. Thats Lesvos.

All in all a chilled out laid back holiday.

Haris studios Anaxos...very very welcoming...very very clean, pool and surroundings pristine, Rose and Hari the owners are simply the best hosts you could want. Nothing fancy, just really good value for money and Greek friendliness. Centrally located. Highly recommended!

(Not to be confused with Harris apartments who are also very good but are out on road to Petra out of Anaxos)

Haris Studios Anaxos...stayed 1 week...
Rose and Hari who own the apartments are simply the most hospitable people you could wish to meet. The apartments are extremely clean. Linen changed and apartment cleaned 5 days out of 7. Lunch in the bar for 2 people = 3 euros (Greek salad and omelette) freshly prepared and huge portions!
Pool area cleaned every day and immaculate.
Apartments centrally located, and very convenient.
Giorgia the Direct Greece rep v good.
First Choice flights all on time...
All highly recommended.

Well, what can I say. I wanted a chill-out holiday and thats just what I got.
The apartments are simple, clean and the owners are so friendly.
We stayed in a studio which was a bit of a squeeze as you can imagine, three females trying to get ready for a night out!
If you dont fancy going out the food at the Pool Bar is limited but if you fancy a quick snack its fine and so so cheap. The drinks flow nicely and again are very cheap.
Rose and her husband own the apartments with their two sons assisting. Rose cooks; cleans,;serves the food and drinks; has her own goats so she makes the feta cheese; has olive groves so makes her own olive oil: I think you get the message that Rose is fab, never stops working and is so so genuine.
The resort is quiet but there are plenty of restaurants on the way to the beach and some further along the beach so you will be spoilt for choice.
Everyone in the resort is so friendly.
The Greeks have a laid back attitude to life and never rush so be prepared for a nice relaxing wait whilst your food is freshly cooked for you.

We visited Petra and Molyvos along the coast. They are worth a visit as there are more shops there but once you have been you will be dying to get back to one of Roses'Greek Salads!
We also went to the Hot Springs at Eftalou, be warned the Springs are very very hot and not suitable for young children We eventually managed to get in after a few trips into the sea to cool down, keep trying as its worth the feeling when you emerse yourself in the water.

What more can I say, a wonderful relaxing holiday, Haris apartments are fab, Georgia the rep was ace (not that we needed any help or had any problems),met some lovely people, Paul and Pat, Kerry, Graham, Caira and Patrick.
When we left Rose had us all in tears and we all promised to return next year, and after two days back at work I've already been checking the availability!!!
