The Aphrodite Hotel is the largest hotel in the resort. The rooms have Air Conditioning , a fridge, Television and a hair dryer. Slightly more mod cons than your average Greek Hotel. A nice swimming poll and a reasonable buffet breakfast. The rooms were cleaned regularly and were simply furnished. The staff were efficient but a little impersonal. The hotel has an international feel about it with a real mix of nationalities staying here. Apart from ourselves there was only one other British couple here, so if you want a holiday with loads of Brit this hotel would unsuitable. It located on the longest beach on the island being 10 kilometres long and it has been awarded the blue flag. This is a good area for walking and bird watching but the downside is the resort is somewhat isolated from the rest of the island and therefore car hire is recommended. If you want a peaceful holiday with a nice beach in an resort that is not "British" then Vatera is well worth coming to. On some days depending on wind direction there can be a strong breeze here which can be invigorating. The Aphrodite Hotel was a good choice probably the best we saw in the resort.
