Agios is an inspoilt Greek fishing village and as such will not appeal to anyone wanting a vibrant night life or typical beach activities. The only beach is half a mile along the coast (there is a rocky swimming cove) or you can visit the next village which is more tourist orientated. The local tavernas are good and "The Arches" is particularly good for evening meals. For walking, nature and scenery this is an excellent part of Greece. Much of the coastline both north and south is spectacular.

The best Greek apartment we have ever stayed in. (ours was the two bed villa) Beautiful location among lemon, orange olive and pomegranate trees. Very well equipped, very clean and the owner very anxious to please. Ideal for a chill-out holiday in an unspoi...

Agios Nikolaos is, as the brochure says, a small fishing village. Its about an hours walk from Stoupa, not that we ever walked, about 5 mins in a car. Some very nice tavernas, those that stand out are Faros and Vesusvios right by the sea.The swimming cove is lovely for a dip, ladders into very deep water, good snorkelling, though not for the faint-hearted.The overall impression is of a Greek village going about its daily business, very welcoming to visitors. The only drawback for us was that the local beach Pantazi was quite rough when we prefer calm waters which Stoupa provided beautifully. For that reason alone we are going to Stoupa next year,to be nearer the beach, and to save on car hire.
