Finnikounda is a beautiful place with lovely walks and beautiful scenery.
Could not fault Kosmar in anyway at all flights great food ok.
Kalamata airport extreamly well organised and clean.
Sonia studios were great clean and modern.

This is our second year in Finnikounda and found the resort a little more busy than last year but still lovely no discos or loud pumping music.Just good food good wine and good company.
The only thing that really upset both me and my partner was the Kosmar welcome meeting, the rep was extreamly hard work and her joke telling unnecessary and extreamly embarrssing all we wanted to know was the resort and surrounding areas information and where to go and what to do.
Her comments regarding what to do with the cats when they get on your balcony were totally disgraceful and consider that there were chidren (and many more cat lovers in the room) totally unnecessary so cut it out as no one we spoke to thought your comments funny. people were walking out saying god she was hard work etc..
Apart from that Finnikounda is fantastic.
4 beaches all in walking distance a great hotel owned by Neilson which is 10 minute walk away which has a great pool. and view.

Best restaurant for food is taberna which is at the back of the church free starters, sweets and shots. The food is fantastic liver on the barbi with onions and loads more gorgeous food.
There are 12 Restaurants in total and a fantastic kebab house the best I have ever tasted!!!
No sunbeds on the beach so buy one from the shops they cost between 35-50 euros depending how much comfort you want.

beautiful cake shops and a view touristy shops selling a small range of gifts.
There is also a man selling corn on the cob in the little street. He also sells wine and olive oil - watch out for the Rose wine its very very strong!!!!
Elenas restaurant is nice has stunning view. also live music on a Tuesaday and Friday.
there is a crepe shop which is just out of this world.(you can also check out the temperature here too)
Lovely walks to the beaches. On the way to the big beach stop at the graveyards where the ages of the people buried there are amazing!!

You can hire Mountain bikes in the resort too so if you feel energetic rather than walk to the beaches cycle to them.
There are no screeching motorcycles at night its quiet and peaceful but still nice in the main street where the majority of shops and tavernas are.

Perfect holiday for mature couples who wish to relax and enjoy their beautiful surroundings.

The Sonia studios are very modern, spacious and well equiped. The shower was the best we have ever had in Greece with a sliding enclosure and constant hot water. The studios are just across the road from the beach and all balconies have direct or side sea views. The restaurant of Antonios Giannoukakis is highly recommended. His family are a joy to meet. Most of the produce he uses comes from his own farm, the olives and olive oil are from his farm and his excellent house wines are produced from his own grapes.

Not many reviews on here about Finakounda. All i can say it is a very good find. The only other report on here says ";you cant even get a sunbed"; Well that is true and it was bliss. possibly the most laid back place we have been to.
one bar
about 10 tavernas
about 4 bakery/laid back beach bars

We stayed at the Sonia apartments which were spotless granted they was new this year. It looked like we could have been the first in.At the moment there are not many travel companys doing it.If you can remember Greece with family run Tavernas and masses of space on the beach sneak off here
