We arrived for our second week in Mykonos after spending the first week in Naxos. The Island itself is very chic with great boutiques (some very expensive) but on the whole affordable. Try to avoid restaurants on the harbour front as the prices tend to be approx 5 - 10 euros more expensive on most dishes including alcohol drinks. Whilst there we found some great restaurants. One was a Thai which was situated approx 15 min walk from Starbucks, very nice food, probably the best food we had in the two weeks, price was expensive though, two starters / two main course and one rice dish with wine cost 75 euros. The average price we paid for meals was about 20 - 40 euros. One of the nicest bars was the Piano Bar in little Venice, great piano music and great views at night, wine by the glass was 5 euros and cocktails 10 euros plus. Ramrods night club was ok but not very busy hence the 2 free shots per person with every drink !!!!! Must go too these places for the experience...

We stayed at Paolos studios approx 20 - 25 min walk uphill from the windmills, Taxi cost approx 3 - 5 euros depending on the time of day / night. I would not recommend it to people with walking difficulties. Overall thought about the studios was good, only problem was when we arrived the room smelled of old stale smoke !!!!! apart from that the room was good, cleaned every day with clean fresh towels... great views from the balcony overlooking everything. Again only criticism was the location. The main road outside the Paolas studios was constantly busy, morning noon and night, took some getting used too, If you like to sun bath around the pool you must be aware of very loud car horns.. screeches and just general heavy traffic noise. Having said this you can walk downhill to town approx 10 - 15 mins walk (much longer and harder going back up ) !!! and get a bus to the beaches. The pool was small but great !!! especially when the weather was in the 30's.

Kosmar were not the best.... No rep on the island for the first 3 weeks which caused a few problems with booking day trips and also knowing what time we were being picked up for transfer to the airport. I have been with Kosmar before, Cheap and cheerful is how I would best describe them, You really do get what you pay for. I would defiantly travel with them again.

A day trip to Delos is a must. Ancient ruins were the order of the day, totally fascination, Cost 12 euros each for the boat trip and 5 euros each for the entrance fee. You could spend a day here but lots of walking involved !!! Tour operators were charging 45 euros each but with that you got an English tour guide but not really needed if you pick up a map that explains all about the island.

Finally overall a nice pleasant holiday with good weather and some great night life, would defiantly go back to Mykonos but afar I have done the other islands !!!!!!

Paolas Studios were up the hillside with 111 steps to take you up to the top road, but well worth it.
The owner Paola was very friendly and helpful and she drove a shuttle bus into Mykonos Town twice a day.
Cleaners went to the room every day with daily towel changes (which is a rarity in Greece!) and sheets were changed every 2-3 days. The pool area was clean with free sunbeds (but no umbrellas) and the view over the resort and out to sea was fantastic, especially the sunset! (Which are the best I have seen anywhere!)

The resort of Aghios Stephanos is quiet with only a handful of tavernas and bars, The beach is small with 2 beds and an umbrella for 8? per day and doesn't get overcrowded which is nice.
Would recommend the Petran Taverna right at the end of the beach. Georgos was great and the food was gorgous too!

Mykonos Town is only a 5 minute bus ride away which is 1.10? one way and tickets can be bought at the supermarket.
It was quite expensive as it is a port and lots of cruise ships stop there but the Town is beautiful. All the buildings are white with a maze of cobbled streets in which to get lost - fabulous!

Just be warned about the wind - very very windy but this is only in July and August.

In all had a great holiday and would definitly recommend this accom and resort!

The apartments are very well kept and clean.

The owner runs a free mini bus service to Mykonos Town twice a day which is very useful, although you can walk it in about 45 minutes and there is a regular bus service. The resort has a lovely beach and a few tavernas and two small supermarkets, although there is nowhere to change travellers cheques, you have to go into the town for that and also newspapers. The studios are positioned at the top of a very steep hill and there are also about 200 steps down to the beach, so its not for the faint hearted, but you do get a lovely view! Theres a really nice pool bar at Flasco's which is just at the top of the steps before the climb up the hill to Paolo's where they do lovely cocktails and you can watch the sun set, the best taverna in the resort is next door to this and is the most traditional.

Mykonos town is beautiful with lots of narrow winding streets that you get lost in and all the best designer stores you can think of. The prices for food and drink are about a 1/3 more expensive than you average greek island, but we thought it was well worth it.

Excellent, Excellent and Excellent. The accommodation is amazingly big, very airy, and very cool. Clean towels every single day. The cleaner is lovely and works very hard. She is up from the crack of dawn and will not wake you up!
The pool area is slightly small but still it does the job. The owner is so friendly and will do anything to make you happy. I will certainly be going next year for sure!!

The hotel is situated on a hill and i would not reccomend it for people with walking disabilities. The quickest and easiest way to go into Mykonos town is to turn right at the round about taking you down a hill. (You will know it when you see it.) It simply takes 5 minutes. However uphill is about 10.15 minutes!

I am going to be honest here - i don't think Mykonos is a place for children. They will be bored out of their skull. However, Its very popular with the gays, and yes you will see them kissing, but to be honest, the atmosphere is so relaxed no one really cares.

I must reccomend the Piano Bar, Ramrods, Pierros, and Porta Bar. Those were my favourite bars and are gay, but extremelly friendly!! The piano bar has a live cabaret singer, usually American. Ours was Kathy Bates i think her name was, and she was amazing! Phyllis is still around and does seasonal work.

The food is so cheap! pizza 5/6 Euros, Steak for 10-15 Euros and pasta for about 5-8 euros. However be careful for the extra hidden service charges! usually around 3-6 Euros! The drinks are so expensive. Vodka and coke, bearing in mind they fill half the glass with vodka about 8 Euros, Best to drink the local wine or cheap bears.

Super Paradise on the right hand side of the beach is the gay nudest beach, very shingly and windy! Paradise and Elia are lovely also. You can get to Super Paradise by bus then boat, or pay around 15 euros in a taxi. If there is 4 people, it works out cheaper anyway.

The weather was scolding. we went end of May and was hitting the high thirties! be aware!

Overall, mykonos is lovely and is defo a great place to visit!
