First visit to Parga after reading other reviews on resort and accommodation. Not dissapointed on both accounts. Although a large resort has not lost the feel of real greece. Stayed for one week at Zozefina on the outskirts of resort. Very clean and owners very obliging. Air Conditioning payable extra but worth the investment. Could not fault any restaurant we ate at and there was an abundance of choice with harbour front restaurants and bars costing a little extra than the back street ones. If you want quality and service you must visit Castellos near the old fort and for a drink in a bar with a spectacular view of the harbour visit the Sail In and Blue Bar.
Plenty of beaches but visit SaraKinko and Lichnos beaches by water taxi from the jetty if you want a quieter beach than voltos or town beach.
Will definitely return to this resort. Tfr time from airport 45 minutes but excellent coastal road with great views.

Only our second visit to Greece and we are hooked. The Zozefina is a great place to stay,a bit of a walk into the centre, but hey,you got to get some exercise. The appts are spotless and comfortable, the pool and jacuzzi are great, but the best thing about staying here are the owners,Fotini must be the hardest working woman in the world and always with a smile, and Spyros is Spyros... you will have to meet the man!
Parga itself is a superb resort, with a mix of the busy harbour, with its many tavernas, and the much quieter back streets, where you will also find a few bars and tavernas. The town beach is sand but gets a bit busy,if you like a bit of space jump on a water taxi and go to either Valtos or Lychnos both great sandy beaches. Two good day trips to be had from the harbour(no coaches involved) are one to PaxosandAntiPaxos and another to Corfu, both enjoyable days.
Both Parga and Valtos are overlooked by Parga castle, its a bit of a hike to get up there, but lunch at the taverna in the grounds, with the view,is well worth it,stunning! I can honestly say we did not have a bad meal in the two weeks that we were there, but I must say that our favourite place was the Perivole,on the back road between the centre and the Zozefina, good food and good value. One last thing I should mention, when you get back to the Zozefina after a good night out you will probably find some of your new holiday friends sitting at the terrace bar which will stay open as late as you want!....Oh,go on then, just one more!

Since there isn't a lot of information on Zozefina this may help. The accommodation IS NOT on Voltos Beach as stated in the bro so please be aware of this. It is about 800 metres from Parga Beach and is opposite the Adams. Doesn't seem a lot but in the heat it can. Takes about 15-20 minutes to walk downhill - better to take taxi when returning to accommodation - about 3 euros.
Zozefina's owners Frotina and Spyros are very kind and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The apartments are clean with Air con - 40 euros for the week to hire and also have a fan. Hire of Air con is well worth it. Safety deposit box can be hired at 10 euro a week. There is a t.v. toaster, kettle and enough pots and pans etc. There is liquid soap in the bathroom and shower with a curtain. All rooms have private balcony or terrace and mesh screens.
The sunbeds and parasols by the pool are free and the showers, toilets and changing rooms by the pool are spotless.
Having read the reviews about Parga itself before going I agree it's a beautiful place to visit and hope it doesn't change its Greek Character. If I have complaint is that the Mosquito Repellant didn't work so do take one that works!!!!
Being on my own I was a bit concerned but I needn't have worried. There were quite a few women on their own and having spoke to some we agreed it felt very safe.
I will definitely visit Parga again but may be for 10 days which would be perfect but if not then 14 days. A week seemed too short.

The Zozefina Apartments are really nice. The studio we had was kept spotlessly clean and the owners just couldn't do more. Quite a walk from the town of Parga up the hill going down in the morning was a little bit better (Its only 850 metres), but at least we were fit by the time we came home! The sunbeds on the town beach were expensive (8 euros for 2 beds and a sunshade!) but lovely swimming. The Lycnos Beach, which we walkewd to the first time we went is very nice. Get the Parga Express Team speed boat from the Harbour only 3 euros return per person and the beds and umbrellas on the Lycnos beach by the Camping Ground are only 3 euros! So for an additional 1 euro you get a boat trip every day!
Try 'Piccolo' for coffee, tea or frappe. Helena who owns the place is very sweet and works extremely hard. He hubby ain't a bad cook either!
Lots of nice restaurants and good food. The Parrot a new restaurant near the town beach makes great Moussaka according to the wife! The Kleftico was good at various places too!
If you do one trip visit the Styx River and wade the waters, freezing cold but unbelivably pretty, you can take a raft trip down the rapids if you want or just marvel at the beauty of the spot.
We've been to many places for holidays in Greece over the years, but PARGA IS SOMETHING ELSE! Its just lovely. Hope it stays that way!
FLIGHT: Flew with First Choice Airways. Took off on time and arrived at Preveza 20 mins early. Not much leg-room but everything else fine. Watched 'The Incredibles' flying out and 'Oceans Twelve' on the way back. Headphones £2.50 per set.

RESORT: Parga is probably the nicest Greek resort I have been to. Mainly suited to families and couples but there was still plenty to do. The harbour is v pretty, lined with various restaurants (Traditional Greek,Thai,Chinese,Mexican), cafes and bars. The cobbled streets lead from the harbour to the shops and if you follow the path upwards you'll reach the castle which overlooks Parga town. The views are stunning.
ACCOMODATION: Apartments were well equipped and cleaned daily. Quiet location. Great pool and owners were lovely. We paid 10 Euros to use the safety deposit box for a week. Would have rated as excellent but about a 20 min walk away from the resort centre, would have preferred to be a bit closer.
BEACHES: The town beach was quite small and pebbly, but very pretty. We took the water taxi to Valtos beach most days (bigger and sandier) about 10 mins away and cost 8 Euros return for 2 people. Lichnos beach was a little further but did not visit in the end.
SUMMARY: Overall, I highly recommend Parga - I would definately go back but probably choose different accomodation. It still feels very Greek, and hopefully will stay that way x
