"Avra Studios review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
In profit terms Tapestry holidays are onto a winner. First we went on what was quite possibly the ";world's worst airline"; to Volos airport. Volos airport was probably the ";world's worst airport";. Then we got on one of the ";world's worst coaches";.
Next we spent two weeks at the adequate Avra studios. Very basic.
The studios consistantly had problems with water temperature. The pool was ice cold - to cold for anyone to use the two weeks we were there. Then the hot water in the bathrooms didnt work for 3 days.
We complained to the rep who was next to useless. She seemed very arrogant with younger guests. Older guests did get on well with her.
On the way home (once again aboard the world's worst coach) we met other guests from other resorts who also mentioned similar difficulties.
Relieved to be going back home we boarded the plane. When it took off we were infromed the toilets could not be used. A four hour flight turned into a hellish nightmare.
The flight was ";exclusively booked"; for Tapestry guests (so we'd all paid a fortune). I was smug that we'd got seats in row one. However after 200 people weeing in the sink of the loos out of desperation and the toilets overflowing down the aisles I wished we were in the middle!
The glossy brochure and premium price was deceptive, and there has yet been no response to our complaints that were made direct.
