"Maniatiko Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We have just returned from a superb holiday in Stoupa Greece.
Stoupa is a little Gem - enough tavernas to eat out somewhere different every night but not too touristy or tacky. The Mani is a largely undiscovered area with mountainous and spectacular views, not typically greek (no blue and white buildings here) most buildings are made of the local stone and there are lots of tower houses (houses with crenellated roof tops)
Kalogria beach is one of the best I've been to with lots of natural shade, making it ideal for young children and the sea is crystal clear (if cold in June!)
The Maniatiko Village provided us with extremely high class, excellent quality accommodation. Kitchenettes had granite work tops and the apartments/villas were very tastefully decorated - quite unlike anything else I have seen in Greece. Pool area - although a short walk from the apartment - was very tranquil (no saving sunbeds necessary here!) with beautiful views. No inflatables or jumping in allowed in the pool, so not for you if you are a fan of the Thomson Super Family type holiday.
The restaurant within the complex was very good quality with home grown, organic produce on offer, but Stoupa had so much to offer in the way of eating out that we only ate at the Maniatiko twice.
Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful.....what more can I say....a great holiday...a real find....and a wonderful welcome from the very friendly Maniatiko staff.
