"Petroni Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Arriving at the airport - you know how it goes - waiting to see where you have been allocated - peering at the map (useless) and the brochure (not in it).
A fantastic coach ride (R H seat for arrivals) across splendid and scary scenery. And then, miles below you, a glimpse of a blue bay over a mountain - Stoupa.Bus stops at a little lane and we tow our cases behind the rep to a stone house in an olive garden. Basic appartment (as we expect in Greec, big terrace, lovely ambience - and an easy stroll down to the village and beach.
Stoupa is an utter delight - sandy beaches (town beach is small but you can wander into a bar, get an ice cream etc just like that) - other beach is flat, shallow, noisy, ideal for kids etc.
Food and drink - hardly a less than excellent experience. Best pig out? (bad pun) - the Butcher's in the middle of the front where he roasts a whole pig every day, and you get to eat a substantial heap of it off paper.
Best bread? Top bakery on the main road.
Supermarket - on the front - we have never seen so much choice ever in Greece.
What else to say? - a perfect holiday.
Tour Operator and Airline- First Choice - they got it 100% right again - if only it was always like this.
