"Amarilys Apartments review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Apartments are very big, plenty of room for the 2 of us. Separate bedroom, dining area and small kitchen. However, we didn't have a balcony as we were on the ground floor (just a sitting area shared with 2 other apartments). Only thing is, the service was pretty poor. We were given 1 and a half toilet rolls for the whole week and when asked for more, we were told we had to buy them from the supermarket! Room service happened twice. Well, the first time they only folded the bedsheets and the 2nd time they changed ONE towel. Again, no luck when asked for help. So could do with a bit improving there!
As for the resort, plenty of lovely restaurants and quality of food/service was excellent, can't go wrong. The resort doesn't really offer much more though so trips are recommended.
Went to Athens on the trip for 50? each and worth it, also stopped on at the Corinth Canal on the way there, well worth a look! However, one trip to Nepflion at night? Do it yourself! Kosmar were charging 10? each but the bus is 1? each and a return taxi 8? between 4 of you. The buses run every hour 1 minute away from the apartment. If you're going to Nepflion for the castle be aware as it shuts at 6pm.
The transfers to and from the airport are long (about 3 hours) but there's a stop-off each way for about 20 minutes at a cafe, plus the bus is air-conditioned so it's quite comfortable.

Great holiday. Great hotel staff, especially bar manager Sitari. Good view from balcony, but the hotel is up a very steep hill. There was lots to see and do, but a lot of boring people seemed to just stay round the hotel pool and many never even ventured down to the beautiful beaches only 5 mins away. Food was generally excellent everywhere, especially at the Romvi at the harbour where food is very cheap, good quality and massive portions. They usually give you a complimentary drink as well.
