"Hotel Viaros review"

Apartments very clean and well located provided you don't mind steps and steep slopes on the walk back from the front.
Main beach is narrow but ok for swimming and the wider beach is a long walk. Plenty of eating places and the Romvi is excellent.
The Athens tour is very good but Kalavrita is a let-down. if you hire a car the options are much better for exploring lots of archaeological sites. Driving is ok and Greek drivers are harmless. The complete lack of road markings at junctions is exciting. The speed limits are a mystery.
Sunvil reps are very helpful and very knowledgeable.

We stayed at the viaros and couldn't fault the staff there. It is a family run hotel and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is set back from the centre of Tolon, up a hill but it has some fantastic views. There are plenty of places to eat and we favoured Marias, but also enjoyed Romvi. We tried many places but never had a bad meal. We booked our trips through the First choice rep, Nicki, and found them to be value for money.

Beware on the trip to Hydra. The donkey rides are lovely through the narrow streets but the men who guide you do not have change and we ended up giving a 10 euro tip! They don't speak a lot of English either so it is hard to argue with them. If you want to take the ride then make sure you have the 5 euros per person in change. We sent most evenings in the Nafsika Bar which was where we had our welcome meeting. Sula nad Nicos made us very welcome and we were sad to leave.

The family at the hotel had a little boy George who would play in the pool with our son, although they could only speak a little of each others language, they managed to get on well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will deffinately be going back to Tolon.
