We never originally booked the Ziakis but due to a mix up by none other than Thomas Cook( who accidently cancelled our holiday) it was either here or a completely different resort. Apart from the location we found no fault with the Ziakis. We had to rely on our friend Yiannis from the excellent Wild West Bar to take us home at night as finding a taxi after 1am was quite difficult and we did not fancy walking up that hill in the pitch dark. The staff where all very friendly even with some off them having limited English.

Lindos is best visited as a day tripper, which we noticed is what many visitors to Rhodes actually did. We found things quite expensive, clearly aimed at ripping off the Acopolis day trippers, but this is peferential to being ripped off for two weeks. Probably better to stay at Pefkos where food/drink seemed to be far cheaper and better quality. Restaurants Sinatra's very expensive for very little, Mythos nice setting but the food was digusting and Olympia, not cheap, but easily the best food. The Lindos Restaurant had a set menu, very good value and staff very friendly.

The best thing about the Lindos View, is the view ! If you dont mind being on the main road, near the coach park, donkey pound and next to the stone masons. In a good location for walking into Lindos and a little further down to the beaches. The communal areas are very pleasant, but unfortunately we had one of the most scruffy rooms I have ever had to endure, despite booking with Thomsons. The apartments furniture and fittings were very tatty, a number of things didn't work properly and the room was full of insects. We moved to another room after a sleepless night and this room was much the same(minus the insects), but had the benefit of fantastic views of the Acopolis and out to sea. The poor apartment spoilt our holiday, especially as we discovered others who had paid the same, were in lovely smart rooms.

Now this was the eighth time we have been to Falaraki but the first time we had been AI.Most have the big hotels are about a 20 min walk from the centre but its only 5 euros for a taxi or 1 euro on the bus.It seems Falaraki is getting quiter every year but im not complaining there are some brilliant restaurants Zobras the Orion and the Family restaurant are our favorites. Now for the best cocktails try Mikes bar just across from the Orion they sure are strong and they get stronger as the night goes on Terry takes care of that.As for the kids there is a big indoor play area and a fairground and even a macdonalds and subway if you are having trouble getting them to eat.
This hotel was brilliant for the kids plenty for them to do dodgems'carousel and bouncy castle all undercover so good place for the kids to keep out of the sun.Now at 4 oclock it was popcorn and candy floss as if they needed more food but thats kids for you...
This hotel was brilliant for the kids plenty for them to do dodgems'carousel and bouncy castle all undercover so good place for the kids to keep out of the sun.Now at 4 oclock it was popcorn and candy floss as if they needed more food but thats kids for you.We were stopping in the Lindos annex which had a side sea view; room had bunkbeds for kids with a sliding partion and double bed in main room and bathroom with bath and shower. The rooms were cleaned everyday spotless as was the hotel. The only downside was the air con had been turned off the day before so it was still to warm on a night and this was the 1st of october! Now as it was coming to the end of season the hotel was only about a third full which meant there was no ques for anything. Now the food was good a wide choice and the desserts well always room for a bit more.As for the drinks beer was ok and most of the spirits were Grants and you could even have champagne for breakfast tried it once but i stuck with me cups of tea !The entertainment team were brilliant with the kids nicola and jodie and must not forget suzzanne at the kids club she really is something.Yannis at one of the bars is really friendly his wife as a clothes shop in falaraki called Dina. The pools were kept really clean and the areas around the pool were not slippery the beach is not as good as it is in Falaraki but it is ok and plenty of sun loungers. All in all a very good holiday but things would be a lot different in peak season but that is to be expected.

Pefkos is lovely for families with young children. The beach is so clean and has lovely clear shallow water perfect for children to play in. The locals are friendly and can't do enough for you. A visit to the bakery for cakes is a must. There are lots of bars and resturants to keep you entertained but if your looking for a lively night then it's maybe not for you. The trip on the glass bottom boat to nearby Lindos is a must, the captain is so funny and will keep you amused with his witty jokes. At the hight of the season Pefkos can get fairly busy but if you go around October time like we did it becomes more laid back and less busy. To sum up Pefkos it's perfect for couples and families with young children who like a laid back relaxing holiday without all the frills.

We arrived at the hotel at around 10pm and was greeted by friendly reception staff who booked us in and showed us to our room. We were in room 607 which is on the second floor and had a lovely view of the pool and restaurant area. The room was hugh with a double bed and a sofa bed that converted in to a bed. The bathroom and kitchen were spotless and the maid came everyday except Sunday, with clean linin and towels. The pool area's were always clean and well kept with plenty of sun beds. It also has a lovely little kids play area that our daughter loved. The location was brilliant just a short walk from shops and bars and the beach was about 5 mins walk. We have stayed in Pefkos & Lindos before at other hotels/appartments but would definately choose this hotel to visit again without a doubt. We would recommend this hotel because of its brilliant location, cleanliness, friendly staff and room comfort.

Pefkos, Rhodes is small resort set into a hillside. Pefkos Beach is clean and the sea clear blue, if a little rocky in places. You can see fish swimming in the rocky area, so bring or buy a snorkel to waste a few hours. Pefko beach is set in a bay and shelves gently into the sea which was calm on all but one day. You can walk out a considerable way before you get to chest height water. The main town has a good selection of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. There is an excellent bakery selling a wonderful selection of cakes and pastries for those with a sweet tooth. It also stocks chiller and freezer cabinet foods: cheese, ham, frozen meats, for those who are self catering plus tinned and cereals. Many of the shops and restaurants have steps and this may make access difficult for some. Prices: At time of writing Oct 2008: Sun bed and Brolly for two costs 8euros, Eating out between 9 and 30 Euros per head depending on your choices. Drinks: Water 60-70cents, Beer 3-4 Euros, Cocktails 4Euros - buy two get a third for free. Summary: We liked Pefkos and have just booked to return.

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Finas Hotel - Studio, Apartments in Pefkos, Rhodes and found a poor quality of studio accommodation and low level of maintenance.
We expected our 3 star studio accommodation to be basic, no frills. However the accommodation was to our mind uninhabitable due to the strong smell of sewage which assailed our nostrils when entering the studio. And on further investigation we soon discovered that the studio had been less than well maintained:
No working smoke alarm Holes in the curtains Filthy floor and kitchen area (food waste and splashes clearly visible) Thick mould on the bathroom tiles and shower curtain Toilet seat stuck on with duck tape Bathroom cleanliness less the acceptable Rusty railings and table on the balcony We might also add that there was rubbish and debris strewn around the external areas to the accommodation block. Photographic evidence of some of the above can be seen at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sufur/sets/72157608269416506/
Quickly deciding to return to the reception and request another room, we were told that nothing could be done until the Olympic Holiday rep return at 3.30 pm that day. We were told to have a sleep and wait! The condition of the studio made rest impossible - and we did not unpack as we would not be staying. The receptionist informed us that there were no other studios habitable and gave us keys to check this for ourselves. The other studios were water damaged and in a dreadful state.
We were informed that all other habitable studios were booked and our only option was to upgrade to an apartment - at a cost of 170 euro. To add further insult we were then informed that the additional cost would have to be made in cash and that this had to given to the Olympic Holidays rep in person. Being told that the apartment could be booked by others until payment was made we were left with a stressful 3hr wait before a rep arrived to take payment.

my partner and i stayed for two weeks.the second week we got married in rhodes town hall.everyone including staff gave us a great send off and cards.on our return from the ceremony everyone was excited and joined us for drinks.some of the children had made their own wedding cards and put bannors around the reception area.we could not have wished for a better day everyone of all ages joined us and made us feel very special.we would like to thank all the staff as they could not do enough for us.we have been to faliraki for 10 years at least once a year sometimes twice.but this was the best, its clean, close to the beech,a short walk into the main centre, staff and owners were brilliant.we are definately going back in july 2009 as a wedding aniversary presant.we have stayed in alot off hotels in faliraki over the years but every penny we paid for this hotel was worth it.and if your getting married i hope lisa stoneman is your wedding organiser as she was also brillant .

We stayed at Pefki Island in Sept, it was our first time to this resort but will not be our last we are already looking at booking for next year. It was our first family holiday with our 1 year old and we all loved every minute, the hotel is spotless and Jimmy behind the bar is great. What a fab holiday would recommend any to go !!
Did not see a lot of night life, but the resturants are very good and the food excellent. The Napoli for Greek food, Fatman Slims for British food and My Place Bar for the best steak in town!
