Stay away!!!! We have just returned from a week at this so called 3 star hotel. After 6 years in the armed forces i can say i can put up with a lot but this places top's the lot. Where shall i start?! We reserched a little before we booked and thought it can't be that bad, but it was worse! I've reserched a little more about this hotel now and nearly all the reports are true. The Brits get put in the first block which is the oldest and nearest to the main road, There for very noisy. The other blocks are reserved for Danes and Sweedes,Dutch, Russians Etc. Now then!! No.1 Our Towels where changed once and the bedding when we departed. No.2 Our so called Kitchen was dirty falling to pieces and full of scrap which they called Kitchen eqipment. No Toaster but you could hire one for 10 euro's! No.3 The bathroom was filthy! The Toilet Flush was broke,The hot water was colder than cold water. No.4 The walls had not seen a lick of paint since it was built,Blood and other Marks! No.5 The patio doors did not lock, the room entrance door need a new lock as it would only close when you locked it. No.6 The Matress's where Marked and looked (No words to discribe). No.7 Air con you could hire for 48 Euro's a week which not exceptable in a hot country. No.8 You had to be out your room at 12am but our flight was not until 2.30 am so had to pay an extra 40 euro's , I know don't be tight but for a stay in this hotel they should pay you! I could go on but i don't want to bore you. But Stop!!! To top all this my Digital camera went missing which was packed in my suitcase ready to go on the night we was leaving. We nipped out for our last meal and returned about 11Pm. We put the rest of clothes etc in our suitcases and closed them and thet was it until we retured home. I opened mine and started emptying and the discovered that the case was empty!! That was that Camera gone, We both know that it was in there as the M/card was full, we also double checked our room before we Left. W've phoned Olmypic in rhodes and in turn the hotel buyt no luck. So not only was the hotel s**t but our holiday snaps and Camera have gone. O Yes By the way this was our second room as the first was even worse!! Thanks for reading and good luck!!

I thought that Pefkos was a lovely resort. There is a main road which runs through the resort with a couple of lanes heading down towards the beach. The main road is lined with restaurants and bars as is the main beach road. Even if you ate somewhere different for a fortnight, you'd still have plenty of restaurants left to sample! If you're on a budget, there are a couple of big restaurants in the middle of the resort which offer 3 courses for 8.90 Euros (I can't comment on the quality of food as I didn't try any of them out!). We mainly paid around 20 Euros each for our evening meal (2 courses plus wine) which isn't bad value, but is certainly a lot more expensive than Greece used to be pre-Euro.

Drinks range from 2 Euro for local beer upwards. Most of the bars have happy hours so its worth taking advantage of them! Rock Bar and Eclipse were the most expensive bars we went to, but also the most stylish, so worth it for the atmosphere.

Pefkos has 3 sandy beaches. If you want more peace and quiet, head away from the main beach towards Ag. Thomas beach and the other one (can't remember the name!) as these are quieter than Pefkos beach. The sunbeds cost 8 Euros a day for 2 beds and a parasol. Its worth noting that all the hotel/apartment pools are open to anyone and are free of charge (you must buy any food and drink onsite though) if you fancy a change from your own pool or can't get a lounger!

I stayed at the Chrysanthi apartments in Pefkos for a week at the end of August. We had a studio apartment which was small, but we didn't mind too much as we didn't spend much time in the apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean and air con (which is w...

I stayed at the Chrysanthi apartments in Pefkos for a week at the end of August. We had a studio apartment which was small, but we didn't mind too much as we didn't spend much time in the apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean and air con (which is well worth getting if its hot) cost 55 Euros for the week. Kitchenette had a fridge and electric kettle which was all we needed really! We also had a large terrace area with chairs and table.

The bathroom was small with a wet room effect (ie the shower water runs into a drain in the floor and the water sprayed everywhere from the shower head - this always seems to happen in Greece!). Again, it was very clean and the maid came in every day to empty the bin (you can't flush toilet paper down the loo, again, if you've ever been to Greece - you know what to expect!)

The pool area is great - there were always enough sun loungers available round the pool (and if there isn't one free, then just go and find another pool, all the pools in Pefkos are open to anyone as long as you buy your food and drink there). There is also a pool bar serving food and drink all day, the food was pretty good. We ended up having breakfast at the bar most days because it was easier than trying to cook in the apartment. The prices for food were quite reasonable, although ice lollies and ice creams were expensive (all at 2 Euros).

Arrived back from a wonderful holiday in Lindos, This must be the most picturesce of all the Greek islands we have visited, THe Krana apartments were kept very clean but Im sorry I dont think the owners were very freindly at all, food was only served till 6pm so if you wanted to eat and stay in the bar it was a no no and the bar closed at 12 midnight so no chance of a session, you wasnt allowed to put your air conditioning on whilst you were out even after paying 60 euros for a week or the maid opened all the windows as a punishment ( naughty Sue and Jim )and you couldnt turn your fridge up to keep ice as we found out as the maid defrosted ours the day before departure leaving us with a warm fridge and no ice(legs slapped )there was no incentive to stay around the bar at all, Mother didnt speak much english which is fine but you always felt that you were disturbing her watching the TV Maybe we just caught the owners on a bad fortnight reading all the previous reviews but we didnt even get a goodbye.

We loved the holiday and it didnt stop us having a good time and once you got used to that horrendous hill and the 30 steps up to the apartments it was a beautiful location and the views were to die for.

Haraki is a very friendly and welcoming place and I can see why people return there year after year. It's safe, quiet cheap and very laid back. This was our second year and we have already booked to go back next year.

Second year in Haraki, first year at Stella, a bit dated and needs a bit of TLC. The room was not even cleaned properly when we arrived.

Pefkos is nice resort with plenty of bars and restaurants to pick from we coverd most of the island and came to the conclusion that Pefkos is probably the best resort (we didnt go to Falaraki)Rhodes town although very nice is a rip off eating and drinking they seem to cater for the visiting cruise ships, Lindos is very much the same these 2 places are the only places where we were hassled to go into restaurants and shops, but Rhodes as a holiday destination is very nice place.

Filimon is a small family rum typical Greek accomodation no frills but clean and friendly the aircon was 50euros a week in September and well worth the money as it was over 40c most of the days we hired a car to explore the island and got a very good deal through Filimon, and George in reception was a very good source of information on the best routes to take and places to visit. This was our 6th visit to Greece and our first to Rhodes we love Greece and the Greek people who are always friendly and helpful and a holiday is what you make it, all we require is a clean comfortable place to sleep which Filimon is it is after all a self catering holiday and we dont go with the intention of preparing meals so the lack of cooking facilities dont concern us, as for the location we are both in our 50's and a 15 minute walk is very welcome before and after a meal and a drink, we prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle and the one thing we noticed about Filimon was how quiet it was, but it was September.Altogether a good clean place to stay which we can thouroughly recommend

Hotel was great but the resort poor.

You get what you pay for. Rooms in very good order; food of a high standard; pool area exceptional and the whole of the hotel, inside and out, is kept spotlessly clean. It's a hotel which suits everyone's needs. Had a very enjoyable time.
