The hotel and travel agency brochures advertise this hotel as being in Ixia. In fact it is well inside Trianda and therefore a very long walk (30 minutes) from Ixia. It is a ten minute walk to the main road from where you can catch a bus. There are little or no immediate services near to the hotel except one dirty rundown small supermarket and one taverna. No other facilities available and therefore no choice.

Dirty and wornout towels, dirty linen (they have never heard of white!), unsafe kitchen fittings including a broken sink, extremely small rooms, out of date fire certificate (six months out of date), no security due to broken lock on patio door, no response by management or travel agent representative to any complaints/comments. On speaking to other guests our comments/complaints were confirmed. This is the only holiday that we have ever experienced where we could not wait to get home from day one. We are both in our fifties and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is not child friendly due to many risk areas including many unprotected stepped areas around the hotel and pool.
Nearest beaches are at Kremasti or Faliraki, although Ladiko is just a little further and one of the nicest.

In Faliraki we liked the Acropolis for food and one nearby I think was called la Strada. Be warned though, in some resturants (incl La Strada 3 times) they add a euro to your bill for nothing. They take it off if you ask (and pretend it was a genuine mistak...

They take it off if you ask (and pretend it was a genuine mistake) but we just reduced the tip by a euro instead!
Beer was around 3 euros for a large bottle or large draft or 1 euro in the supermarkets. Cocktails and long drinks were 4/5 euro with lots doing 2-4-1 on them. Ok but often the glasses were pretty small!
We didn't do many trips but recommend taking the local bus to Rhodes town - which is a must see. Don't bother with the organised trips - it's only 2 euros each way on the bus and you can buy a cheap guide book if you feel the need!

Overall we really enojoyed our week here. The room was spacious if, as usual in Greece, pretty basic. Place was generally very clean although our sheets and towels were only changed once in the week. Beware of the extra costs if you want air-con (45 euro a week), safe (10) and to keep the room on the last day (30 to keep until 20:00)
Location wise it's a bit in the middle of nowhere so probably best for those who don't mind a bit of a walk or plan to hire a car/motorbike anyway. There are 2 nice beaches 10/15 mins walk away (Ladiko and Anthony Quinn) and the main Faliraki beach about 35 mins walk (around 2 miles) on pleasant roads over the mountain. You can walk along the main road, which is quicker and more straight forward, but it's quiet busy and there's no pavement for much of it!
We took the mountain road to Faliraki beach (which we loved) most days as the beach was livelier and sandy. The closer beaches are much smaller and pebbles. We also went into Faliraki most evenings to eat and have a few drinks. In peak season it may be too mad but in Mid Sept it was just right. Some sights say there is a free mini-bus but this didn't run every night as Costas (the owner) said it was too quiet so not enough demand for it! Otherwise it's a 6/8 euro taxi ride to Faliraki (I wouldn't walk in the evening) and 6 back. Not too bad but it adds up!
We would defintely go back to Faliraki but not to Zoe's. It was a nice place but too far from anything else for us, and we don't mind a 2 mile walk.
a good resort beach not brilliant but ok great for windsurfers go to greekland for a good night out the best traditional greek dance and music

We were worried after reading the reviews about going on this holiday, but i can honestly say it was the best holiday i have ever been on. The hotel itself is lovely, clean and friendly. The entertainment was brill day and night. The food was good and the rooms were lovely. The entertainers were fantastic. I went with my partner and we are both under the age of 21, and we made lots of friends that were families and young couples too. the aircraft noise wasnt bad at all, i enjoyed watching them go over when i was sun bathing and at night we never heard a thing. If you have booked to go next year you will love it, dont listen to the bad reports. We cant wait for our next visit next year!
Kolymbia is a very quiet town. It has only 2 beaches 1 of which looked more like a building site!If you are looking for a holiday thats packed full of things to see & do travel to old rhodes town & Lindos.

I would advice anyone thinking of booking accomodation at this hotel to think again!

No sandy beach, and because of euro, everything is very expensive, thank god we went all inclusive!!!

Me and my family absolutely loved it. It was 1st holiday abroad for my son who is 15month old, and he was in his element the whole time. I just want to say what a fantastic job the entertainment staff do, and I think it's amazing how they do the daytime activities so well, and then go on to deliver a 5star evening performance, 10/10 to you all. Plenty of choice at mealtimes, which more than catered for adults and children, my son was introduced to a wide variety of food, which I thought was great. My only quibble was in the childrens mini restaurant, it was the same food each evening, but nonetheless, very well catered. The only downside to the hotel, was the beach, as it was a bit pebbley, and no room for my son to play, due to vast array of sunloungers. I would still rate the whole experience as fabulous, and we were all made to feel very welcome. Bed a bit hard, in the room, but apart from that gorgeous, and very clean. Will definately go back again

The resort of Pefkos has not changed a great deal apart from more building of accomadation shops etc. However, the beach at Pefkos has changed for the worse. It can only be described by us as one big ashtray. The majority of brits who dominate it just stub out their cigs in the sand, which are then not cleaned up by the sunbed owners- who charge 8 euros per day for the pleasure of the beds,of which some are in bad condition. When the owners deem them un usable, they are then thrown onto the grass verge at the sides and just left there. We did complain to the chap who took our well earned euros each day, but he really did not want to know. So all you brits who use this beach, please, please clean up your cig ends so non smokers like ourselves, can walk on the sand without cig ends sticking to our feet. We used the beach at Glystra a couple of times, it was fantastic, lovely and clean!
