We loved this resort as it was really nice and quiet after spending the past 5 years in nearby Lindos. As a couple in their mid 40s we weren't looking for hectic nightlife and had the most restful holiday in a long time. Only downside was we felt we were the youngest there at one point, I thought senior citizens were struggling to get by. The other slight problem was it has a pebbly beach which made getting in and out of the water a real performance.

Ialyssos review
"Nothing to do!! Miles from anywhere!!!"
resort to a friend
Very rocky and rough beach. This hotel is down a dirt track along with a few other hotels and a few chatty shops. Nowhere to walk to. 45 mins to the resort centre of Ialyssos and 20mins to Kresmati. Was 45 degrees when we were there so walking that distance along a main road with two kids just wasnt an option and the beach was too rough to take the kids along. Hiring a car is a total must as there are so many other beautiful places to see. Lindos and Rhodes Town a total must.

Greek village which offers a true Greek experience. The village contains many restaurants which also serve as bars, providing good food and drink.
The village has good transport links with a reliable bus service which can take you to most of the island (or atleast to the capita Corfu town).

Lindos is a very pretty whitewashed village topped by an amazing 4th CenturyBC Acropolis. The Village is steep and winding with lots of nooks and crannies to get lost in, many picturesque houses and lots of tourist shops. The main beach is golden sand in a small bay (althoughthere are other beaches very nearby) where you can walk out to sea on a lovely flat bay for quite a bit. There are no cars in the village and there are donkey stations at the main square and at the top of the Acropolis. We ate out every night for two weeks in Lindos and tried pretty much every restaurant going. Mythos (near the main square / donkey station) and Dionysos (main alley) deserve a mention as the food was tasty, plentiful and service excellent. A litre of house wine was around 11E and a fillet steak would cost you between 19 and 21E. We spent on average 45E per evening meal for the two of us. There are plenty of bars in Lindos and would suit all tastes. Expect to pay between 4 and 4.5E per pint and 4.5-6.5E for a long drink. The neighboring resort of Pefkos expect about 2E per drink / meal course less. Now I say neighboring but no resorts on Rhodes really are within walking distance of each other so choose a resort carefully. Buses are often crowded but are cheap at 1.5e each way. Car hire 120E for 5 days in an economy car is a must and having driven on a few Greek islands I have to say that Rhodes has without doubt the best roads to drive on and the most to go and see, spectacular old Rhodes Town, museums, butterfly parks, Prassonissi beach (where two seas meet), Monolithios castle and many more worthy of a drive out. Lindos is beautiful resort full of greek charm where flashing neon signs are banned. It really does cater for the romantic couple, I don't feel it was the most child friendly resort and would recommend Pefkos for people with kids.

Ok but dont expect a large town, a hand full of shops and bars nearby. Not to far away from Rhodes town or the lively resort of Faleraki both 10 euros by taxi.

Kalithea review
"a nice place , but not very busy"
resort to a friend
Not the busiest place ,we were situated on the main road from Kalithea to Falarki . so there were a few shops and bars but not many. There were more in Rhodes town (20 mins away) or Falaraki (10 mins).

History, beaches, shopping, eating and drinking - what else is there to want?! The Euro's value is a bit of a shock for Brits holidaying abroad, but I found no price higher this year than last, so they are definitely doing their best for those of us with different currancies. Our nightlife involves restaurants and Socrates Bar, which are fine; but I hear that the cubs in Lindos are good too. There is Amphtheatre on the road from Rhodes town to Lindos(open 'til dawn I believe) and at east one I saw in Lindos village.

I found Pefkos a very modern, clean resort which caters mostly for the English holidaymaker. The sea was just like in the brochures and the beaches were very clean. Personally all meals I had were excellent, and I didn't hear one person complain about a meal they'd had in any restuarant, and sitting on the rooftops made it all the more special. Although the night life isn't exactly bouncing (thank god), there are some very nice bars - the Palm Tree Cocktail Bar and the Rock Bar - in particular were very lively and had very friendly atmospheres, but if you want something more lively it's only a 10 minute taxi ride to Lindos, which is well worth a visit, as is Rhodes old town. However, do not rely on the buses!

The only thing that lets it down is the beach. There are lots of great places to eat and if you fancy a change, a taxi will take you to Rhodes town which is 10 mins in a taxi.

2nd visit to Pefkos with family.
As this was our 2nd visit this review is an update to my previous review of July 2007.
Pefkos Development is taking place slowly with a few new bars and restaurants and quite a few part built structures. Some others have shutdown. We enjoyed Georges and Blue Bay restaurants as they where great with the kids, good service and the food was good. Found Smile and Zorbas to be average. Prices increased from 60 - 80 Euros 2 years ago for our party to 75 – 95 Euros. Kids older and ate more adult meals but fed infants from our meals.
Beach Sun beds (2 beds & umbrella) 8 Euro. A new sea wall has been built at the rear of the beach and has spoilt its natural look.
Weather. Apart from our last day when there were a few clouds and few spots of rain every day was clear and sunny. Some evenings were quite windy.
Trips. Went on the glass bottom boat trip to Lindos. Departed from the next bay at 10am & 11:30am returning to Pefkos 5pm. Cost Adult 18 Euro under twelve’s 9 Euros. Well worth it and great fun for all. Infants did not go and it would have been difficult with them. Recommend booking as on the day we went some people had to be turned away. Takes about an hour each way and you get the change for a quick swim on the way back.
Prices in the shops for self-catering supplies very expensive, about double what you would pay in the UK. Few prices in Euros, box of Cornflakes 4.00, other cereals 4+, 1 litre milk 1.40, tub of margarine 2.50, pot of jam 2.50. Eggs cheaper!!!
Pefkos again had a friendly atmosphere.
