"regular guests rule here"
Overall Hotel Rating:
having read lots of reviews for Georgia we were really looking forward to holidaying there.Reviews all stated how friendly family were etc but we found that they were only really interested in people who go year in year out booking direct with them, if you asked a question the answer was curt with no extra information given. Usually when we go on holiday we will finish the night with a drink at the hotel but here there wasnt anyone in the bar area.Talked to several other people who felt the same - favouritsm to regulars and really money orientated. We only had our ten year old daughter with us but still coudnt afford to buy drinks etc during the day round the pool bought our drinks from supermarket next door if you have several children you will needs lots of money. The apartments were however immaculately clean and modern this goes for all complex.Self catering consisted of two ring hob kettle n fridge which was adequate but could have done with sharp knife to cut melon etc did hear that some guests did actually manage to cook ful meal but i didnt go away to do lots of cooking so facilities were ok
The grounds are lovely loads of different fruit trees somedays it was aesy to get sunbed others was very busy best spot was under the massive palm tree as no umbrellas just canopies which got very hot
feltthis accomodation was a little too far out of the way of the village but the bus service is very cheap and reliable
all in all a bit dissapointed having read such positive reviews

Overall Hotel Rating:
Just returned from Georgia, had a briliant holiday there. Booked direct with Sarah, who couldn't have been more helpful. Truly family run, with Billy, his Sons, Daughters and all the rest of the family all helping out. We had a 2 bedroomed apartment, which had 3 beds in one room and 2 in the other, they were cleaned every other day, with fresh towels and linen aswell. Cooking facilities basic with a kettle and 2 electric rings, but who wants to cook on holiday!!! Pool area clean everbody leaves there inflatibles so always something for the kids to play with, lots of shade as it was very hot and small childrens play area, shaded by lemon and lime trees. Try Billys Gyros cooked on the BBQ, highly recommend them. 20mins walk from main village, 5 euros in a taxi, if you flag it down. Would defefinitely recommend and would certainly go back.

We cannot fault the Georgia apartments or Afandou whatsoever. The apartment was clean, basic and had everything you needed for a self catering holiday. The centre of Afandou is a 20 minute walk (we timed it with a 12 year old!) and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit every taste. Can recommend Sergios, Danielles, Tasty and Eleni for food and Central Cafe, Simply The Best and Mikes for drinks. A taxi back late at night was ?5 set price.
We cannot say enough good things about this place, a perfect holiday.

This is our 5th visit to Rhodes Island and second to Afandou, we tried to stay at the Argyro but was unable to book, we managed to get the Georgia apartments and what a wonderfull experience it was. Very, very clean with air conditioned studios, there is a choice of 5 debrooom apartments or 2 bed studios.
The menu at the restaurant is second to none, stifado being my favourite and everything else being my wifes, really the food is superb, the staff are funny and very helpfull at all times, the pool area is very well maintained daily, the cleaning staff are always at hand and seem to be cleaning when it is really not necessary, clean bedding and towels on alternate days ( even if you do not need them )We have booked again for october and for next august, a really momorable holiday, met loots of fantastic people and a huge amount of children. What more can we say, we had a great holiday and would recommend it to anyone, thank you to the family and staff for making it a truly great holiday.

Afandou peaceful, lazy and picturesque.Appartments were beautiful lovely people great food air conditioning extra but well worth it as was extremely hot .Pool and gardens well kept.Local buses and taxis plentiful to take you all over island .Siesta time adhered to in main village.Ideal place for couples to go for peace and quiet away from children. We booked this holiday with about 3 weeks to go and weren't particularly bothered about where we were going as we just wanted to chill.
We arrived early hours of morning, which is a nightmare, but most flights to Greece are obscure times. Anyway, arrived at apartments to find them very clean and we were pleased with our accommodation. However, even in September it was very hot, and the fan in our room did little to cool the air although it was better than nothing and only cost 15 euro for the week.
The pool area is very clean and there are plenty of beds although you do have to get up early to get the beds that are in the sun all day! If you prefer the beach, go to Falaraki, but be prepared for the heat. This is also a good night out. As we were there in Sept, our ages didn't really matter that much (very young resort).
The greek night at the apartment is good, however, I would recommend that if you're not that bothered about joining in the dancing, then eat elsewhere and go back to the apartments for around 9pm, for the entertainment. Sit on the left of the bar as you are looking at it and you will not get dragged up to dance but can enjoy the festivities. The night is 10 euro each, but not really worth it for the food as you can eat in Afandou village for less and get more. The village is quiet this time of year, but ideal if you are just wanting to get away from it all. Recommend Sergios in the village and the Golfers Restaurant on the main road just to the left of the apartments. Both offer good value for money as the portions are massive!
Overall a good holiday..and the weather was still scorchio in September (50 degrees in Rhodes town!!) ENJOY!!

Sept-Oct.2004...Georgia Apts. was a change of holiday as our tour company, Golden Sun, had gone bust, we arrived very late at night but by the next day we could see what a lovely place it was, great pool, apartment was very clean and tidy, but I cannot understand why the Greek's never put up shower curtains...!!! takes longer to mop the floor than take a shower... great bar and eating place. The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful. The town is quite a long walk at least 20 mins (Don't try it in the heat) plenty of bars diners etc. One thing not to miss is the Greek Night at the Georgia Apts on a Friday night for 10 euros it is a great night.
All in all a great holiday a great place with great weather. The only down side was the 4 hour delay at the airport and the way First Choice handled it or didn't handle it I should say not even a bottle of water......get your act to-gether First Choice

The apartments are very clean and well looked after, the linen changed twice a week and the bins emptied every other day. The apartments are not air-conditioned but there are fans available for hire if you want one. The weather was excellent in fact at night it was a bit too hot and air conditioning at this time of year is preferable. The Friday night Greek night is a must and ";Little Billy"; does a great dance with a table, be prepared to take part as the dancers will get you up and get you to join in with the dancing.
The beach is fine if you don't mind shingle and pebbles, better if you hire a car and tour the island, you will find lots of small beaches and sandy bays. Although, if you like, you can get a bus to Faliraki from Afandou for 60 cents and go to the beach there which is very good with plenty of beachside bars. The meals are nearly all the same wherever you go but one of the best restaurants was Sergio's in Afandou town. Beware of what you order though, if you order the mixed grill make sure you are ravenous as there is so much food.
This was my second trip to Rhodes and I would definitely go again, although if I was going in July again I would make sure my accommodation had air-conditioning.
