Hotel Despina Reviews

we booked our holiday only 10 days befor we arrived at 1-30am at rhodes airport our flight being 45 mins late .after the cases being on a find me if you can !no help as to which carousel your case is on we arrived at hotel despina ashort ride on the coach .no one ther to greet us our rep said dont worry took us to aroom away from the hotel 'i said is this rightoh yes she said and went 'on her way there were no air cond no fridge after falling into bed tired out but couldnt sleep with heat it was 30c at airport at 1am

next morning we tried to have a showerno good we went down to the bar for breakfast and to find out why we never had the iar con or fridge the lady owner no english at all a german at the hotel who told us he had been going the 14 yrs tried to help .and said there are air conditioned rooms but he only lets them private he will see you meaning george the owner after cake a large burger bun jam tea and george .came oh yes you can have a better room 45euros per nite we declined but later along with other couples told chris our rep but he never even came back

'in spite of this the room was clean towels and beds were changed midway shower was fixed ;lady tried very hard to talk very clean pool food tasty not cheap but if you want alazy day by the pool fantastic .its 25 min to beach or village we ate at the neon bar the first nite ;but after that it was daniells every nite good value for money wine was good to it spoke for its self always busy plus take away pizzas.we then would go a ride around on the train wonderful 1euro'after we wood go for drinks at ,cafe de lapaix with goerge and mike what wonderful cocktails and the chat up to get the punters in for drinks and they geeted you like old friends and akiss on the cheek for the ladies and after ataxi back 5 euros 'the bus service was great 90cents to falaraki 1euro 60 cents to rhodes 2-20 to lindos

it was only our 2nd holiay abroad yes we will go back next year and to hotel despina we dont blame the hotel we blame the tour operaters for missleading people and not checking the facts every day was beautiful hot lots to do we would say its b,b take a kettle (im told your not supposed to !you can book direct which we may next time and hire a fan 15 euros it was a very clean friendy hotel and we came home minus 2 large beach towels because goerges wife took a fancy to them so athank you presant meny kisses and frappas later i gave her a george asda price t shirt which she asked the german tell her to bring me more next time i will buy!!!!!

it was a very relaxing holiday and we still have lots more to see and do when we go back next year i recomend the place and hotel only real minus is door slammming guest at 2am doors are on springs but can be closed quitley the pool is spot less plenty of loungers 10 out of 10
