Malibu was brilliant!! rooms were good had a bathroom with shower was cold in the evening but that wasnt a problem only thing id say is to bring towels as the ones they supply might aswell be tea towels. there was a hob and a frige but we didnt do any cooking eating out wasnt expensice. I stayed here for two weeks with 4 girl friends we all had an amazing time and none of us wanted to leave so that shows how great the hotel was. The pool was a really good size and best of all you was allowed in 24 hours :)!!!! The bar was also 24 hours and good prices. nikkos was brilliant he really made the stay there even better and muma malibu was lovely! bar and club street were actually a 2 min walk couldn't f been in a better place! and the beach was at the end f bar street so very close too! id recommended this hotel to young people looking for a memorable holiday id go back tomorrow!

Me and my boyfriend went to Malibu Studios just a few months ago (July 2010)... There was lots of good & bad points to this hotel.... 1st thing was air conditioning... it is ridiculously priced, 60 euros a week which is £40-50... was also told by several people at the hotel that it wasn't even that good anyway, kept going warm and very difficult to use, as me and my boyfriend were staying for 14 nights, £100 was out of the question... and so we decided to go on a hunt for some electric fans... this was near impossible, the hotel did not stock them nor have any clue where to get one from (despite having 3 in the bar area), 2 days, and 2 sleepless nights later we finally found 2 small table fans for 20 euros each... we managed to get them for 15 each.

Me and my partner are both 22... we were looking for a romantic, but lively holiday, and we got both, though a lot more of the lively... the hotel has a bar/restaurant area... which has VERY loud music all day... up until midnight. Sometimes ALOT later (4-5am). Fortunately our room was on the top floor, so it didn't seem very loud to us, but if you were near the bar, I imagine it would be unbearable of a night if you want to sleep (or frankly if you just want to relax one day, and you have the same 3 songs on repeat. (I am heavily into pop/chart music, and after 2 weeks, I HATED the newest chart music purely because hearing them so many times drove me insane!!.

The room itself is basic but nice, you have 2 single beds, a shower room (which has no curtain, be prepared for soaked floors), a dressing table with big mirror and small chair, a balcony with 1 table and 1 chair... and a kitchen sink & very big fridge. There is a few plates and cutley, but nothing matching or more than 1 of anything. No kettle, no iron. 1 small milk pan and 1 frying pan. The cleaner cleans the room every other day, and changes sheets twice a week. We got 1 toilet roll the full 14 nights we were there. It went after the first week and we had to repeatedly ask the cleaner before we finally got one on the day we were leaving :/.

Avoid the bar/restaurants food... it's overpriced, and we witnessed a lot of flies/insects landing on the food before being served, and the food quality is also poor. The milkshakes are not real, they are ice cubes crushed with flavoured syrup and vanilla ice cream with some milk. and 3-5 euros a go. Eugh.

The pool is very big, and loads of seats around it. I have read complaints about the pool being unclean & broken glass on the bottom, I did not see any glass or dirt, and saw the pool be cleaned twice when I was there.

The location of the hotel is the best part. If you are lucky enough to be on top floor, you have a very nice view (and breeze if you keep both doors open all day). Though you cannot see the beach from the hotel, only a small amount of sea. Terrific sunrises though!

The nightlife quite frankly, we hated it, people outside the bars practically begging you to go into the bars for 1 drink. And if you refuse, prepare to be slagged off for what you are wearing/look like. We got a LOT of abuse on the main street of Faliraki. We went to 2 bars in total, not impressed with either, ridiculously overpriced drinks and people screaming down mic's (and that wasn't even the kareoke!).

The only good thing about the resort is the beach. Costs 7 euros from beach to Malibu studios in taxi.

Deffinely go to the fair, it's great fun. The waterpark is terrific, though wear flip flops or socks (trust me, or you will have blisters on your feet for the remainder of holiday) and bring LOTS of water or you will pay a fortune on bottles of water every hour. And make sure you go to Lindos and Rhodes Town, they are both stunning.

"V. Basic but good for the price"

The hotel itself is very basic, especially in terms of the room facilities. The bathroom is more like a wet room, the only towels provided are small hand-towels, some rooms don't have a safe box in the room although there are some available in the hotel lobby, and the kitchen facilites are also very basic (2 hob rings, a couple of saucepans, cutlery, glasses, no cookware or a drying rack). This was generally what we expected, though, as it was one of the cheapest resorts, and is geared towards young party people (it is a 2wentys hotel) who wouldn't spend a lot of time in the room. The hotel facilities are pretty good - the staff are very friendly, reception and pool bar is open 24hrs serving hot and cold food, British and Greek dishes, and snacks and drinks too. The pool is nice and large, is open 24hrs as well and gets a lot of sun around it during the day, and there are plenty of sun loungers available. Location-wise, the hotel is a 4-min walk away from the main centre of Faliraki, but it is down a somewhat poorly lit dirt track, so you wouldn't really want to walk it alone at night. There's a cashpoint and supermarket close by the hotel too. One drawback of the hotel is that if you're not really a party person it can be a bit noisy and rowdy - we went at the start of Sept. which isn't really high season but were still woken up by shouty drunks at all hours. The welcome meeting offered by 2wentys isn't essentail, and they seem to be trying to get money out of you, but the reps are lovely (Bethan and Andy) and we went on the first bar crawl and had a lot of fun.

Malibu is the place to be. I had the best holiday here this summer. Nikos the barman was amazing and so helpful. great pool to chill out round all day long and then also a great place to come back to after the clubs. you can party all night and even go for a swim at 5am. Very clean and very close to all falarakis best attractions. I had the holiday of a life time here. NIKOS FOR PRESIDENT

i stayed at the malibu apartments begining of june for 2weeks. i found it really good for wat i payed. the first week there it was great they were clean the staff were great the people were on the same level partying and having a laugh. then a group of welsh lads came and ruined the apartments basically they were loud constantly, setting fire extinguishers off, being sick and leaving the public toilet a mess and . but apart from that the holiday was great. also the owner was funny wiv us cos we wundnt buy food or drinks from the bar in the day as she wanted u to spend money constantley at her bar the more u bought the more she liked u.never mind had a top holiday wud go bk but jus not to the Malibu. the reps were great at the hotel.

The hotel bar was open 24 hrs, which was good when coming back from a night out. Nickos does the night shifts and will not only serve you more drinks, but will cook you food too.

Overall the hotel is full of young people who are there to have a good time.

"Sleepless nights at the Malibu!"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Good

Open quote

Average apartments for Greece, the usual limited self-catering facilities in the room but both fridge (with freezer compartment) and hobs worked fine. 24 hour bar which is great if you are young and not looking to get any sleep! Me and my partner requested to be moved to a room further away from the bar, as the first night we didn't get a wink of sleep due to other guests being rowdy in the bar till about 7am. Kiki (the owner) was fine with this and after moving rooms we didn't have too much trouble sleeping, although I'd still advise taking earplugs! The apartments were situated a short walk from the supermarkets and main bar street, while the beach was probably a 10 minute walk. We paid for a/c the second week and it was well worth the 40 euros as meant we could sleep with the doors closed avoiding all mosquito bites. I wouldn't recommend the Malibu to families or couples (unless they are looking for a party every night). However I think it would probably be ideal for young groups of friends.
