Although very small rooms, it was quite adequate for our needs.. They were very clean and quite newly decorated. However, would have liked not to have needed to empty bins ourselves on several occasions, think this should be done on a daily basis given Greece's custom re toilet paper!!! Also a kettle should be counted as a basic necessity, I would say.. Location was great and underneath studios, we were treated very well by the lovely family that run the Paradiso Restuarant...

These studios are very small but perfectly adequate for a fortnight's holiday. Straight across from the beach which was handy when we wanted a couple hours break in the afternoon for lunch and a cool down. Only 8 studios, we had asked for a sea view when we booked in January but unluckily for us we got the car park. Don't know how you go about getting one at the front. 112 euros for airconditioning for 2 weeks seemed a bit steep but with temp. in the high 30s what can you do! The restaurant Paradosi below is excellent for food and the family who run it are really friendly and helpful. Ari is particularly helpful and it is quite amusing watching him looking after his small daughter Debi. We also loved Kapetanios Restaurant and the Italian Davinci's. Jack's place was the place to go for people watching and drinks at night - if you can beat the local Greeks for the seats.

Haraki is lovely - small, quiet, relaxing. The beach is a mix of pebble and sand - and there's a lovely wee man hiring sunbeds just in front of the Porto Haraki studios. All the sunbeds - in Haraki and other beaches we visited - had wee mattresses on them - very comfy indeed.

The Porto Haraki studios were very small, but spotlessly clean and we were fortunate enough to be looking out to the sea. The view was beautiful. And they had aircon which was a blessing - it was very hot!

Agathi Beach is about 2 mins away by car but I think about a 25 min walk - it's lovely - sandy, slightly busier than Haraki and with 3 kantinas serving food, drinks etc - go to the first one, Bottoms Up - great food!

In Haraki itself, there's a great wee cocktail bar called Bottoms Up - THE best Alexander I have tasted - have it with ice cream, mmmmm! And Despina who runs it is just lovely. And she has the cutest little dog called Lola.

There are a few other bars - Jack's who serve the strongest cointreau ever and do an amazing brekkie. The food was great at Kostas and Elenas and Da Vinci's. Also had a really good youvetsi at Dino's just up the road from Da Vinci's.

Haraki was very relaxing in the nicest possible way - no really late nights, except one sitting til 2.15am at Jack's with Liz and Elena from Fife - great company!

This was our first visit - safe to say it won't be our last - can't wait to go back again.

Haraki is a wonderfull resort for families with small children and the 50+ age group, but the Porto Haraki studios are the smallest we have ever encountered in all our visits to the Greek isles.the rooms at the rear have twin beds with one single robe and 2 drawers and thats it!oh,and a nice view of the car park.the rooms on the front with a seaview aren,t big enough for twin beds they all have a double-plus the single robe and drawers.a new taverna has opened up on the front Captains the food is good and prices reasonable.Haraki is a place that we will gladly return to time and again provided it doesn,t get commercialised but avoid the Porto Haraki studios!

Oh my word - I think I've found heaven on earth!! what a wonderful place to stay but think we should be keeping this place quiet and to ourselves.

The bay of Haraki is beautiful and the views in the day are gorgeous and once the man in the moon comes out at night and shines accross the sea its just wonderful.

Our accommodation was very small - but clean so couldnt complain too muchas was only sleeping there at the end of the day.

We were above the restaurant Paradiso which did some lovely food but have to say my best meal was at Da Vincis on the last night very nice for a change from greek food.

Jacks bar was the best place for good company and fantastic cocktails.

Thanks to Bob and Brenda from Barnsley too for a great week of company.

Porto Haraki Studio Apartments are located near the main square of the village. They are basic and clean with fresh towels twice a week and bed linen changed weekly. Should you book, insist on a sea view as our balcony faced a small unkempt car park where the waste bins for the area were located. This was not uncommon, as there is really only one row of buildings with the front facing the sea and the back facing on to the service road. Air conditioning was available at 8 euros a day, which seemed a bit steep.

We met many couples during our two-week stay, most of who had been to Haraki several times before. In fact two had been in May of this year. Haraki boasts only one twelve-bedroom hotel, The Haraki Bay Hotel, at which we dined once. The Greek Plate we had as a starter was superb and would have been ample without the main course we had ordered.

The new Italian restaurant was excellent too, as was the Greek Kitchen just along the road. The only disappointment we had was at Tommys Taverna where we felt we should not be bothering the waitress. Although the food was good, a smile or pleasant greeting would have made all the difference.

We spent some time watching the sea at the 'Haraki by Night' taverna where cold beer was served in a frosted glasses by staff who always had a smile and pleasant greeting. Next door and actually under the Porto Haraki Studios was our favourite eating-place. The Parathiso Restaurant was run by Yanis and Elena with their family. We were always made to feel welcome and enjoyed the banter with them and their family. The food was excellent with the particular favourites being the various soups and the cabbage rolls. Elena kindly gave us the recipe for the cabbage rolls, which we shall be serving up to our friends soon! Moussaka, Souvlaki, and Stifado can also be highly recommended. We met many people that kept coming back evening after evening which added to the general good atmosphere. Should you be asked to take part in the cup and saucer trick however, it may be prudent to refrain!!

Haraki is a place where you can 'chill out' and enjoy the peace and quite and watch the world go by. Yes we shall be returning to this delightful, unspoilt village.
