Me and my family absolutely loved it. It was 1st holiday abroad for my son who is 15month old, and he was in his element the whole time. I just want to say what a fantastic job the entertainment staff do, and I think it's amazing how they do the daytime activities so well, and then go on to deliver a 5star evening performance, 10/10 to you all. Plenty of choice at mealtimes, which more than catered for adults and children, my son was introduced to a wide variety of food, which I thought was great. My only quibble was in the childrens mini restaurant, it was the same food each evening, but nonetheless, very well catered. The only downside to the hotel, was the beach, as it was a bit pebbley, and no room for my son to play, due to vast array of sunloungers. I would still rate the whole experience as fabulous, and we were all made to feel very welcome. Bed a bit hard, in the room, but apart from that gorgeous, and very clean. Will definately go back again

On arrival we were met by how stunning the reception was, it really was 5 Star. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly great start. Food wise it was ok they seemed to have over ordered on the spaghetti bolognase as it was on the menu breakfast, lunch and dinner for the 10 days. The entertainment wasn't my cup of tea but my young niece liked it so that was the main thing. The bar staff i can only say that they were brilliant, very hard working unlike their boss who's only job seemed to be handing out the cocktail menu and bossing the girl staff about. It complete contrast only one female waitress at the evening meal seemed polite otherwise the other staff were rude they made you move out the way not them standing back and letting you through. I also agree with some of the other reviews that non-english holiday makers were very rude not polite at all. Don't let me put you off as i think this hotel is amazing and i'm planning to come back for 7 days this time next year as this hotel is 10minutes from Rhodes Town and not far from Lindos which is very beautiful. Before I forget make sure you go to Greek night with 'Papa Ouzo' FUN FUN FUN thats all i'll say. Also you get tokens when you arrive to exchange your evening meal to use the chines, italien, greek or french restaurant, our rep told us it would be ok to book the night before, she was wrong book the day you arrive. We could only get a date the day we were flying out.

Rception staff were very helpful and friendly on arrival, even had someone to help with the bags. Our room was great all thick carpets, a massive bed (although quite a hard mattress) and large balcony with pool and sea view. We arrived very early in the morning so by the time we got up we thought there wouldn't be any sunbeds left - surprise, we had a wide choice and this lasted the whole week we were there no getting up early to put the towels out here. Food wasn't brilliant but wasn't horrible, carvery was best choice. Plenty of food on offer all day. A la carte restaurants not worth bothering with. Drinks choice was good, every drink you could possibly want was included but getting the drinks was another matter. The evening bar staff was very rude and totally ignored customers, especially the english! If they can get this right then it will be a faultless hotel.

When we arrived at this hotel we were really impressed! The foyer was really impressive and we were pleased our room was just as nice. Very clean and spacious, no skimping on the hanging space for 3 a wardrobe each and an abundence of draws. 2single beds pushed together and 2 other single beds, spare pillows and blankets.

My Daughter who is 9 had a great time, the slide was great and kept all the children entertained. we spent most of our time around the main pool, which is salt water, which for us was disappointing as a chlorine pool is prefered.
This is the first year the hotel has been all inclusive and sometimes this showed as at busy times there wasnt enough staff on, so getting a drink was a bit tedious! Although the range of drinks on offer were great, cocktails and even some imported drinks were included e.g malibu and baileys.

You could get food at any time during the day and there were 4 speciality restaurants available to visit once a week each which helped you to vary you food choices. The chinese being the best.

I found this hotel to be great, in a beautiful setting and would go back again. It just needs some adjusting to make it a great all inclusive hotel.

First impressions of the hotel-the reception area looks fantastic.Rooms-ok,food and restaurant-ok,staff-SHOCKING!

The restaurant staff were rude, the mini market women were rude and all the children entertainers were Italian.Although they did speak good English.

The swimming pool was sea-water (not described in the brochure)
The drinks were VERY expensive, and we started taking our own water to dinner and Dimitris (a waiter) snatched our glasses off the table because we didn't order drinks from him!
If we needed to contact our rep'-we had to pay!
There was no telephone to ring our rep'-reception had to open an outside line and we were charged.Again-not described in the brochure.

This hotel is out of the way of anything good.If you want to lie on a sun lounger and do nothing else-this is the place.
Over the road is George's bar-Remi Bar.Fantastic place!! free games for the kids and drinks not too expensive.

Overall a great holiday only a few grips -

This is a 5 Star hotel to greek standards. Room was shabby, worn and stained carpet with cigarette burns. Bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable, we were lacking sleep by the end of the holiday and we were only there for one week. The resort was very quiet not many people around I put this down to being the start of the season (first week in June). The hotel was kept very clean and tidy.

The beach bar albatros had the best service and great food. Old Rhodes Town was busy day and night some great little restaurants. The trendy bars were charging 14 euros for 2 vodkas and coke. I thought this was a rip-off considering you can buy a whole bottle of vodka for half that price.

That said I believe this hotel would suit anybody who is used to and enjoys all inclusive holidays and doesn't want to venture out very often.

We've just come back of holiday, we spent 2 weeks there and o my god what a holiday. most of the staff are rude ( people at the reseption.) the entertainers though was lovely. there is no baby pools!! but 1 but there isn't any chair or sunbeds, you are expected to sit on the floor and brun because of no umbrellas. This isn't expected from a 5 star, so if you have a child i would Recommend this hotel as the pools are all really deep, its so stressful. the hotel is full of Italians and you had arguments with them everyday. if you think Germans are rude then don't go to the hotel as Italians are 10 as worse.

The food in this hotel is ok. If you like fish then you are fine but if you don't fish, then there is nothing to eat. If you was late down to dinner or breakfast the food wasn't taken away till at lest 30mins after 10.00 in the mor nd 9.00 at night.

The beach is lovely nd very safe for children. Its a bit stoney but we diddn't mind that. You don't have to pay for the beds either.
The night entertainment is brilliant cos they do it in all languages which was really good.
The rooms were a bit small but ok. the air-con was good in my room but in my mum and dads room it was very poor.
If you get a safe. DO NOT LOSE YOUR KEY!!!!! the hotel make you pay 60 euros for turning a key. they also don't worn you about it. they also tell you that they have put a new lock were all they did was turn a key.
be worn about a lady behind the desk with glasses and where you get your towls from!!

We would recommend this Hotel.

Transfer from the airport 30 mins approx.

Worth booking seaview rooms as we did, as they overlooked nice gardens down to the sea. Rooms were very nice, clean and tidy.

The Hotel has a couple of Swimming Pools, with plenty of sunbeds. Hotel has its stretch of beach with sunbeds, we spent most of our days on the beach. Sand is mainly pebble. It is hard on the feet walking out to the sea, but the Hotel has steps down to a large float to avoid the stones.

Food was good eventhough we have experienced better, but a very good selection (buffet). You could have a'la'carte down at the beach restaurant which makes a change. The adults enjoyed this but our two 14 year olds struggled with the a'la'carte menu.

During the day we found the animation team excellent. Water Polo, Volley Ball, Darts,Aerobics for the Adults. There was also childrens entertainers during the day and the children seemed very happy. In the Evening the animation team do their nightly shows which we never attended. But at 10.45 it was disco time outside at the beach bar which we really enjoyed, it only lasted for an hour and a half but we found it entertaining watching and by the second week we were joining in.

We went for the all inclusive option at this Hotel and it saved us a fortune as we normally find drinks expensive in 4 star plus Hotels. Other people we met had booked BandB or HB and upgraded to AI once there as they found the drinks expensive.

I cannot fault any of the Staff at this Hotel, I have never been anywhere so friendly, they did everything to make your stay a happy one.

Outside of the Hotel there is a small shopping complex. This contains 3/4 Bars which serve food as well. Several bag and jewellery shops. 500 Metres from the Hotel is Rhodes WaterPark, which is worth a visit.

Rhodes old town is so pretty at night. We went there during the day by the local bus outside the Hotel. Not to be done again as they packed you in and it was a rough ride. Anymore trips we did to the town was by taxi which was approx 15 euro each way well worth it.

I would visit this Hotel again and recommend it to all.

This is a 5 star deluxe rated hotel. The facilities are excellent and comprise 7 swimming pools, private beach and a host of high end amenities such as gym, sauna, massage, hairdressers, in-house shops etc.

The general areas are kept spotless.

Meals - All the dining facilities are of a buffet style nature and are spotless.

Food presentation is 5 star, however I can only rate the quality as being One star. This is because irrespective of how good it all looked, the choice and range were limited ;breakfast, lunch and dinner being almost identical every day during the fortnight we were there. It was also very bland in nature, not bad, but rather tasteless. We were unable to eat a single hot meal during our stay as everything meant to be hot was at best tepid, even when freshly served from the kitchens.

The dining areas tend to be a bit of a scrum, and are very noisy.

The hotel is aimed at the Italian market, clientele being about 85%...if you can live on spaghetti bolognese during your stay, you'll love it.

Rooms - Do not live up to the 5 star standards of the common areas. They are kept spotlessly clean and the maid service is excellent, but the rooms are rather tired....they are in need of refurbishment to bring up to 5 star standard...I would rate them as being 3 star plus rather than a 4 star minus.

Entertainment - This is aimed primarily at children even during the evening. Aimed at the Italians, there is a full time entertainment team, doing a sort of slightly up market Hi-de-Hi....if that's possible. Participation keenly sought...to the extent you will be hassled to join in....day and night.

The hotel is rather isolated, so if you want to eat out there are only about 4 or 5 taverna/restaurants to choose from locally. All have very similar menus and a fillet steak is about 14 euros. Unless you want to enjoy the extensive hotel facilities exclusively, car or bike hire is a must. Plenty available. Taxis to Rhodes Town are about 6 euros.

Synopsis -

Communal areas of hotel, pools and beach are 5 star.
Rooms are 3 star plus.
Cleanliness is 5 star.
Food is One star, but looks 5 star.
Entertainment for Adults is 2 star.
Entertainment for kids is 5 star.

If you have kids, this place is brilliant.

If not, don't go as it is very child orientated and very noisy.

5* food, 2* beds! The food is great, don't come here if you need to lose weight. The buffet is huge, there was lots of choice and at this time of year there was plenty to go around even if we left it late. The pools are large and the waterslide is fun, but they had closed several pools as it was nearing the end of the season and the water was too cold for my liking (October 16-24). However the indoor pool is heated but boring, and the sea is far warmer than the pools. There are hundreds of sunbeds available.

The hotel is right on a shingly beach, take your reef shoes or swim from the steps provided. The location is good, only 7? for a taxi to Rhodes and 18? to and from the airport even in the middle of the night. The evening entertainment was a cross between Kenny Everett and Monty Python, which appealed to the kids. The karaoke was dismal due to the lack of punters, but the dancing girls were really quite good. If you want a wild nightlife this is not the place for you, and there is nothing within walking distance either!
HINTS: Buy your water, wine and pop at the supermarkets just outside the entrance (not the hotel shop). The hotel prices are high.
The same with car hire, we had a Jeep for a day for e30, which would have been almost three times the price in the lobby.
Take a travel kettle as there are no coffee making facilities and there is none provided after dinner.
The trip to Simi is good, but don't book a tour, just get a taxi to Mandraki Harbour for 9am and choose which boat to get on.

BIGGEST GRIPE. The beds were rock hard. We were in the Diagoras block, the hotel described the beds as Orthopaedic, well, you may need a chiropractor when you get home! The hotel did put an extra blanket over the mattress, but this did not help so we got some extra pillows and slept on those. This really lets the place down and we said so. We think the beds in the main block may be better. Otherwise the accommodation was very clean and they even mended a broken pipe on our sink within 30 minutes! We had a garden view room, the balcony got the sun in the evening, which was lovely, the sea view rooms are all in shadow, so not worth paying extra for in our opinion. On the brochure photos the complex looks a bit like a concrete jungle, but we were very pleasantly surprised with how nice the gardens were.

Lesser gripes: The Spa is very expensive and not worth it, the receptionist there wasn't very nice and you couldn't charge it to your room either. When we checked out at 2am, they pretended they couldn't take a credit card, but they soon did when we said we had no Euros left, which was actually true!

Overall- Totally brilliant value for money (at this time of year, and we were lucky with the weather too at 25-29 deg C)!

The hotel is airy, and very clean. The staff on reception were very helpful and always smiling ! The supermarket on site a little expensive, but just 2 mins walk out of the hotel grounds, various supermarkets at half the price. Food varied, and always fresh and well presented. This hotel seems to be frequented mostley Italians, and Eastern European visitors. Only 25% English, had an excellent 2wks, never saw a cloud. A mush is a visit to Rhodes old town and the New Town. A definate if your a shop a holic (like me). Thinking of buying jewellery, leave it till you go to Rhodes, so much choice, and exquisite pieces.

Would definately go back, and YES to the same hotel.
Slide in hotel grounds kept our son entertained every day we were by the pool, quite a god send !

This is a vast complex, the Village accommodation is 4 star and the Hotel 5 star. However anyone can use all the facilities in this vast complex. I assume the hotel rooms are superior to the village rooms but our accommodation was very good with fridge and air conditioning.

The animation team worked very hard and put on varied shows/games/sports etc. but they don't pressurise you to join in if you don't want to. Maybe the music is a bit loud round the village pool sometimes, but there is ample space to get away from it. The themed nights can work out quite expensive (25 Euros each for the Greek night) and if we'd have had the wine that the waiter recommended that would have cost 34 Euros!

On the negative side, whilst I don't like to be surrounded by English people when I go on holiday abroad, I didn't expect the complex to be almost full of Eastern Europeans. Apparently, a Tour Operator in Slovakia has made arrangements with the Resort and they come on a special rate, which is a good deal for both parties - they get it cheap and the resort is full - but I do like to have a bit of conversation with fellow holidaymakers - so be warned, brush up on your Slovak before you go. However, that cannot spoil your holiday and anyway all the staff speak a little English.

One word on Rhodes Town - if you go to the Old Town beware of extortionate prices in certain bars. One in particular, I can't remember the name, but it is in the square opposite the artists and if you have a beer it is in a boot shaped glass - ask to see a drinks list with prices. We had 2 Smirnoff Ices, one beer and one brandy and it cost almost 30 Euros. (Smirnoff Ice was 5.50 Euros) - even in the Aldemar it was only 3.60. Never been to Greece before and I don't think we'll rush back.

First impressions were very good. Swift check in , cases were in our rooms by the time we got there. Clean comfortable rooms with all mod cons and nice views either with the sea view or the garden view which we had.The food was excellant the pool area in front of the hotel was lovely and very spacious.

Joined in Aqua dancing in the pool at the end of the 2nd week and wished we had joined in sooner!. There is no pressure to join in any of the entertainment but lots to do if you like to be active on holiday.

Rhodes Town is our favourite place as well as Lindos. We hired a car for 6 as it worked out cheaper. We would recomend this hotel and will be returning in the not to distant future!!

We were lucky as we had saved up our Tesco Clubcard Vouchers for 2 years (£15 of vouchers buys you £60 worth of holiday vouchers from selected brochures inc Sovereign) so this holiday cost us absolutely nothing but enough of that - what about the Hotel !

To start we had a private taxi transfer to the Hotel courtesy of Sovereign (standard I believe) so the holiday began really wel. We arrived in the early hours, checked in (whilst marvelling at the Hotel interior) and made our way to our room (we had upgraded to a Superior Room and were not at all dis-appointed - bathrobes, slippers, fresh fruit and water daily and oh yes a welcoming bottle of red wine on the first evening). What we really liked was the privacy of our balcony - no-one overlooking us from either side due to a floor to ceiling partition - that suited us but may not be to everyone's taste if you like to chat with your fellow holiday makers.

We were only there for a week but within an hour of arriving, we both said we wished we were there for longer - we both knew it was going to be something special.

How right we were, the Hotel was really good, excellent facilities, no beach towels on the sun loungers before breakfast required here as there were plenty to go around (it was early season so cannot comment for the main holiday months). Lovely pool, beach on the doorstep etc and special mention to the ";Animations"; Team who provided both daytime and evening entertainment (included a version of the Rocky Horror Show) and things like water aerobics and general holiday fun. We have to mention ";Reno"; the livewire of the group whose catchphrase ";Alooo, I love you my life"; could be heard ringing around the pool on many occasios - it was quite infectious.

The food arrangements were brilliant - buffet style (we were HB) with plenty to choose from to suit all tastes - extremely attentive staff (the Maitre 'D especially so) but all in all quality service throughout.

We like a bottle of wine with our evening meal and I guess you expect to pay over the odds for staying in such a splendid hotel and we do not mind paying for the quality - however we do not like being ripped off with extortionate mark ups. We found the same wine we had at dinner in a shop close to the hotel for 5 Eoros and the Hotel were charging over 20 - it did seem somewhat excessive so we took full advatage of the fridge in our room to stock up locally then enjoy a glass or 2 on our private balcony !!

A word about the organised theme nights - first the Lobster evening. We did not atend as neither of us like Lobster so would have been a waste of money but it was extremely expenive. We did however attend the ";Greek Evening";, again additional money spent (with no free drink I might add) but we looked forward to some typical Greek entertaiment, zorba dancing, plate smashing etc. Bit dis-appointed though - although there was a Greek singer he could hardly be classed as typical greek entertainment belting out such clasic hits as my way etc.

However, we certainly did not let that get in the way of enjoying our holiday - overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I can guarantee we will return to this fine hotel at some point.

One last thing, due to the flight times (very early in the morning) and having to vacate rooms by midday the previous day, you may find it beneficial to ask to keep the room on - they charge 25 Euros to keep the room until 6 o'clock in the evening or 50 Euros to keep it until midnight. We paid the 50 and it was worth is - we spent the day at the pool, got dressed for dinner, enjoyed our meal and had time for a snooze and shower before getting our private taxi transfer back to the airport.

Finally (I know we have gone on a bit) but we feel the aircrew deserve a mention - air 2000 has some of the friendliest cabin crew we have ever cme across (and that includes comparing against BA and Vir-gin) - well done boys and girls from air 2000 - keep it up !!
