We have just returned from the Atlantica Imperial and we had a wonderful holiday. This hotel is nothing short of fantastic in every way! From the quality of the food, to the quality of the staff we had nothing to grumble about - this was money well spent!

The scenery outside the hotel is great and the beach which is just down the hill (twenty seconds away) is nice for a change on a couple of days. The AI option is definitely worth doing as you quickly rack up 22 EUR worth of drinks (cocktails are EUR7.20!). The Thomson reps and the entertainment staff are very good and do a good job at getting people involved but never going too far. Look out for Take Two (singing duo) who are very funny!

The food is brilliant, a huge selection and a good variety that didn't get too 'samey' as the week went on, make sure you have an A la Carte meal - the waiter who says 'parakalor' twenty times a minute is very funny. In terms of trips then the trip to Lindos and Rhodes Town are definitely worth doing and the quality of guides is fantastic for the cost (Paul particularly).

You will have a wonderful holiday at the Atlantica Imperial so book up now and go there!

The Atlantica Imperial Hotel is a wonderful hotel. The food is excellent and such a lot of variety. I must mention the entertainment team. They were fantastic. Everybody who works in the hotel makes you feel welcome. The only drawback was the situation of our hotel room. If possible go for the superior rooms and not the standard. We were in a standard room which was on ground level ( Level -1). The balcony was not at all pleasant with a brick wall all around and at the end of it was quite a few bushes which seemed to attract the mozies, consequently you had to keep the patio doors shut. We didn't realise this until we had been bit a number of time (about 22). Asked at reception if we could change rooms but there was none available. Sadly this spolit our holiday immensely.

This hotel is by far the best hotel that we have stayed in within Europe. To us it was a credit to the management and staff that made it such a pleasure for us to stay there. As most people state we got a champagne reception on arrival and our room had a fantastic view. We had upgraded to a seaview room (No327)before we arrived and was going to upgrade to a superior but quickly changed our minds when we entered the room. The management do request no shorts or football shirts at main meal times and 99% of men adhered to this request. The food was OUTSTANDING and a vast choice everynight. There were theme nights which included Mexican,Chinese, Italian etc but this only took up about a quarter of what was on offer. There was entertainment everynight and it was packed everynight. I personally am not into the kind of entertainment that was on offer but I would not critise because the audience cheered and clapped all night long. Not many reviews describe Kolymbia town because really its very small and not much there. All the tavernas on the main street or like fast food and there is only about four bars the best being by far STATUES (cocktails 3euros and very strong)Theres a few shops but tend to sell the same things and you can walk all round the main Street in 20 mins. There is a restaraunt on the beech to the left of the hotel and a lovely bay at the other side of it but you would have to get up early to get a spot Same trouble as everywhere with people putting towels on sunbeds around the pool but we always went on beech (6 euros for sunbed) To be honest i would say this holiday is based round the hotel and if you are happy with that then go all inclusive on arrival (20 euros pp) We are not really a hotel based couple and would have liked to eat out a few nights but there were not the places to eat due to every hotel being all inclusive around the area. Rhodes Town is nice but watch out for reps from Direct Travel (pain in the backside)taxi fron hotel 30 euros taxi back 20 euros. There is a bus comes outside the hotel dont cross over the road it stops outside hotel 3 euros. I could not fault this hotel or staff and i would challenge anyone to find a better hotel in greece than this.

"A lovely holiday in a quiet location."

My boyfriend and I visited the Atlantica Imperial at the end of July and had an excellent stay. All aspects of the hotel were of a very high standard, all the staff were friendly, the food was lovely and the hotel rooms and grounds were maintained well. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool although most were reserved early in the morning (there were still some left at 8:00). There were even some towels on beds at 10 o'clock the evening before! I have been to hotels where the sunbeds have been locked until a certain time and this is a fairer although stressful remedy to the problem! We went on two excursions booked through the rep, although quite expensive they were both worth the money. The guides were excellent as was the organisation of each day. The resort of Kolymbia itself was very small, there were a selection of shops and a few bars and restaurants. Previous reviews stating that the shops and bars were scruffy are a little unfair as they are no different from what you'd find in most resorts in Greece and Spain. We went into the resort centre on a couple of nights but it was clear that evening entertainment centred around the hotels. The entertainment team at the Imperial were very good; we weren't keen on the comedian but really enjoyed the Greek double act 'Take Two' (brilliant comedy value)! All in all we had an excellent holiday and would recommend this hotel for a relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable holiday!

Kolymbia is a very small resort with a few bars, shops and restaurants. If you explore the resort further you will find a lovely harbour. This is a resort to stay if you do not mind a small, quiet resort centre and evening entertainment at the hotel!

This was our 3rd Holiday at the Alantic Imperial and I am convinced that it remains undiscovered as one of the comedians who appeared declared it to be a well kept secret. On arrival we were met with a champagne reception and our luggage was marked with the room number and taken to the room. The rooms are top class and our beds and towels were changed every other day. Christos (the manager)runs a very happy hotel and has a very good rapport with all his staff. The restaurant was always spotlessly clean and the food was of the highest standard. The restaurant manager Antonis is wonderful and goes out of his way every day to ensure everthing is top class. The bar staff at the pool are so funny and you never have to wait for a drink. Stavros,Tolis,Panos and co work so hard but are always laughing as they play tricks on you constantly. The entertainment was really good and every Tuesday evening there is a managers cocktail evening with a brilliant firework display, Champagne and chocolates. All the chefs, bar staff and reps participate in this great show. Danny (from "Grease is the word" on Tv)was an entertainer and had a brilliant voice as did Rosie. They did an Abba tribute night which was fantastic. The pool area is lovely and we never had a problem getting a sunbed at any time. The only thing I can suggest to management on improvement is to build outdoor toilets near the pool as you must go into the hotel to spend a penny. Damian (guest relations)is always asking if you are Ok and mixes most evening with holiday makers. He is very friendly and checks that sunbeds are not reserved the night before or else the towels are removed!! We have made some wonderful friends and meet up with them every year and we seem to add onto our group as we keep going back. We keep in touch and have already booked for next year and are really looking forward to it.I would recommend this hotel unreservedly to anyone wanting a truly relaxeing holiday with wonderful accomodation, good food, plenty to drink, nice friendly staff and great entertainment.
