Kamari Beach Reviews

Booked Kamari Beach for a week as we were in Rhodes for a friend's wedding.
NOT impressed. First impression of outside was fair, but on closer inspection it really is pretty sub standard.
Room was less than basic - very uncomfortable (single) beds, no fridge/TV/working radio. Wardrobe bad quality and kept breaking.
Bathroom was poorly maintained - water comes out of drain in floor, bath and sink take an age to drain away.
Walls are paper thin, so every noise from next door/downstairs and upstairs can be heard.
Maid service is slapdash - some days adequate, others laughable.
Food is poor.....buffet style, not good quality or choice, uninspiring dining room.
Pool is nice but small - nowhere near enough sunloungers (nearly every guest in hotel is German, so they're all gone very early) and most are broken.
Pool bar wasn't opened once in a week.
Beach is on doorstep but sun loungers are e7 a day, which is extortionate for a hotel beach.

Lardos itself is great. Some fab restaurants and bars (Yammas in particular), and extremely friendly people.
Not much shopping but the basics are there and there are a couple of cash machines at petrol stations and in the main village.

The best beach appeared to be just around the bay from Kamari Beach, on the way to Kiotari - a small track leading down to a very sandy and shallow beach. Water incredibly clear with shoals of fish making for good snorkelling.

We went to a wedding at St Pauls Bay, Lindos - highlight of the holiday. Beautiful setting, if very hot, and a great day.
Lindos itself is very pretty, but very hilly and a long walk from the carparks!
