Well where do I start!!!!
OK here we go. When I arrived at Doretta the lobby seemed very nice and clean. My first couple of days were very good nice and hot food acceptable entertainment was fun in a Butlin's way! I am sorry to say that that is where the compliments finish.

On our fourth day it became a nightmare, we were walking back to our room(on the second floor) when my wife noticed something run under our door as the doors do not fit as they have a 2"; gap at the bottom. ";I said she was seeing things"; but went in to investigate. I came out of the room after a few minutes and said that she had nothing to worry about as there was nothing in the room. We entered the room I closed the door, and as she turned around she said"; If I am seeing things then what the hell is that under the wardrobe!"; It was a black Rat/Mouse poking its nose out.

We ran out of the room and went straight to the reception and told them and they said sorry we are fully booked. My wife told the receptionist that under no circumstances are we staying in that room and find us something for the night. Miraculously they found us a spare room. We were told to pack some sleeping clothes and collect the rest of our stuff in the morning and by 12pm they would have another room for us for the rest of our holiday. The thought of a Rat/Mouse running all over our belongings for the night turned our stomach's we decided to pack our stuff as quickly as we could and get out of there. While we were packing we noticed Rat/Mouse droppings on the side board and floor.

The next day we got our new room and moved our stuff again. Later that day we spoke to the tour rep and she told us that the 'Pest control' service had been called to sort the problem out. As we rushed to tell a couple we had met about our saga of the night they were rushing to us to tell us of there saga of the dining room 'Cockroaches'. Yes Cockroaches in the Dining Room!! Never ate there for the rest of our holiday. Would recommend Dundee's 150m to the right of the hotel, the food is freshly cooked and is Fantastic.

On the day of our departure we had a phone call from reception to say that although we had pre booked our room until 6pm we had to move rooms again, however due to the problems we had earlier in the week they would extend the room time until 12am.

As we left the Doreta behind, the swimming pool was so dirty you could not see the bottom and a majority of the adults including myself and a large proportion of the children has gone down with sickness and diahorrea. One baby hadn't eaten for drunk for four days and the doctor was called out again.....

Would I go back?
I wouldn't make my worst enemy book here and if your booking this hotel as a 4* please be advised I was told by the Thompson Rep that this is a 2* and it shows. The second floor is falling apart, holes in the walls tiles missing ants in the bathroom and balcony's that bite. So if you have already booked I would try and get my money back as the locals refer to it as 'Hospital Doreta'. The food is mundane in the dining room, the snack bar food is terrible, and location consists of 3 supermarkets and 4 restaurants.
You can't even stroll along the beach as the hotels own parts of it and are blocked off.

Please Please Please do not waste your money!!!!
