we got a cheap all inclusive deal of teletext, i was very worried but really i had no need to be, every one was extremely friendly and we met lots of people from around the world, (though i have to admit there were a lot of ignorant germans!!!) the hotel was in the middle of no where which meant it was very quiet, and no entertainment on at night, just a cd being played in the background. which was a little disappointing! also the all inclusive did finish at 10pm which was also not good, as to buy the drinks after were far to expensive!!! our hotel room was very clean and the beds and towels were changed daily. the pool was nice but cold, the beach was very pebbly but this was fine for us as were not sand people!
we had a lovely, quiet, relaxing holiday!
(a little too quiet!!!) this hotel is for couples who just want to relax and chill out!! not much going on though! but enjoy it if you decide to go! we did!!

We booked as a party of six on a late deal basis using the Teletext website. Everything was then booked separately over the phone by a separate handling company. We received all our flight, accommodation and transfer tickets separately and were a bit skeptical about how it would work.

To our surprise everything was perfect, so we can only say that internet bookings worked well for us.

We managed to get an All Inclusive deal for a week to the Hotel Asterias, Tholos. There was not much about it on the internet so again we did not know what to expect.

The hotel is approximately 10 minutes from the airport, so suffers slightly from noise, that said it is not that bad, because you really don't notice it after a while.

The Hotel, I would rate as a 3 star accommodation. It has a very nice pool area with bar and terrace. It caters for mainly European customers(non English, sorry British) which was great for our group as we hate holidays with large loud groups that only have one pleasure and that is to drink and annoy everyone.

The pool area is very quiet with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. It also has a life guard to watch over the kids, although some parents seemed to use this as a private baby sitting service whilst they enjoyed their holiday, not exactly what it's for....

The all inclusive deal starts with breakfast between 0700-0900, Lunch 1230-1430, tea, 1730-1930. Between these times there were snacks available and ice cream from the bar.

The meals are not exactly what we are used to normally, which was a refreshing change, a lot of salad and fruit. There was always a choice of a meat, with some type of pasta and of course the customary chips for the BRITS. IF you like the way other European countries eat, then you will enjoy this, I DID.

Drinks are available at the bar from 1000-0100. The all inclusive deal is limited to a separate drinks menu, which is actually quite good though. The soft drinks are piled high with ice and there is little fizz in the drink, but it does quench the thirst.

There is no entertainment at the hotel, only music from CD's, so if you want nightlife go out and find it elsewhere.

Tholos is very small and consist of one road with about 10 bars and restaurants. We were there in August and it was very quiet.

A bus to Rhodes town is a must for both day and night trips. ?1.90(£1.50) will get you a ticket into Rhodes town. Quite simply find a bus stop and get on and get off when the bus stops and everyone gets off. Busses are every 20 minutes or so.

The beach is quite poor and the sea very choppy as this side of Rhodes suffers from a very strong wind.

This is an ideal resort and accommodation for a quiet relaxing week away, 2 weeks would be too much. Very little entertainment and those with kids would struggle to find much to do.

If I came back, I would be trying to stay at Rhodes Town though. That is no slur on the hotel, which I found excellent, but purely because I enjoyed being in Rhodes Town.
