If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet holiday, this will be ideal for you.

The hotel is situated about 1km from the village of Thelos (Theologos), and is only only a 10 minute drive from the airport and a 5 minute drive from the delightful Butterfly World.

The hotel is based on a road which leads to the beach off the main road. On leaving the hotel the beach is 2 minutes to the right, to the left takes you to the main road where there are a few shops and restaurants. All the restaurants except one are Greek. In each one we went to the staff were lovely, prices reasonable and food fantastic...

The Sabina Hotel is family run, (Greek family), the staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful and wanted you to enjoy your holiday. The rooms are cleaned every day, and the pool area is well maintained and clean. Air conditioning is available for approx 8 euros per day.

There is a small shop in the hotel where you can you can buy essentials.

The breakfast is continental, if this is not to your taste, you can buy eggs, bacon, toast and tomato for only 2.50 euros.

There is a poolside bar, this is open from approx 10.00am to 2.00am where you can buy drinks (alcohol / soft drinks / coffee etc), they also serve snacks - hot and cold - all day. (Not suited to teenagers).

For us this was a fantastic holiday, we felt that we could experience a bit of Greek culture within easy reach. There was a choice of restaurants in walking distance, and the people were really friendly.

There is a bus which takes you to Rhodes town for a few euros approx every 45 mins, car hire was easily arranged and cost approx 30 euros per day.

Lastly, the beach... The beach was quiet, clean and you could hire 2 sunbeds with shelter for only 7 euros for the whole day. There was a little cabin which served hot and cold snacks all day (till about 8pm). The food was lovely and very inexpensive. And, again the staff were lovely.

I think that if you want away from the holiday package type of holiday, then book this. We booked flights and hotel individually. Taxi from airport was only £12 euros and the hotel staff answered any queries we had.

We have came home having made friends with a few local people and will be keeping in touch and we will certainly be going back.
