"Greek hospitality and peace for families"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Very Good

Lovely peaceful place to stay. Warm and friendly for families. Basic but comfortable if you know Greek Islands and are used to the facilities. Lovely family who run and nothing is too much trouble. We liked the mix of nationalities. Location fine as we like to stroll in the evenings and we were 10 minutes from the centre.

Apartments good.Friendly staff.Resort good for 'chilling'.Excellent restaurants, difficult to recommend any single one as we had fantastic food and service at evey one we tried.

Captains BBQ is a must. Great day out and very good value at 36 euros.

Trip to Patmos is worth the early start and the journey to Pythagorio to catch the boat. The boat trip itself is approx 2 1/2 hours each way and is a great experience, again worth every penny, however the 'guided' tour of the Monastery is a bit of a rip off at 21 euros. You are rushed around it and our guide left for the caves without us and when we caught up with the party the caves were closed for public viewing,so we felt we missed the best part.
Better to just pay for the boat trip and get a taxi up to the Monastery then make your way back down towards the harbour, visiting the caves on the way.
Incidentally, the price does not include a walk around the 'museum'. That costs another 6 euros.

All in all a great holiday on a beautiful island and with fantastic Greek warmth and hospitality.

The accommodation was quite disappointing we had a studio for 2 and a maisonette for 5. Unfortunately there was'nt 5 of anything even the 5th bed was a camp bed.

The owners and staff were very friendly and the swimming pool and pool bar were of a very high standard. The resort of Kambos is small and very quiet we found we had to hire a car to get anywhere as the bus service is vertually none exsistant. Eating out there is about 54 tavernas to choose from, we found ourselves in Chesters quite a lot, Sid,Nick and all the staff were great, but try the others too. Samos town is nothing to write home about bot there are some beautiful places my favourite being Pythagorio. The roads are very windy as Samos is a mountainous island.

All in all we had a relaxing holiday. I would go back but probably not with the kids.

Good accommodation, mix of nationalities, quiet with a nice pool and plenty of sunbeds and good poolbar, had the pool to ourselves a few days, I think some people were staying there because it is close to the nudist beach, hence the empty pool area. 10 mins walk to Kambos and 30 mins walk to the beautiful beach of Psili Amos. Scooter hire= 50 euros for a week.
half litre of lager= euro 1.80
meal for two with wine= euro 20
Visit ";Pizza Cave"; in Ormos for the best home made Pizza in Greece.(taxi to Ormos= euro 5)
Go on ";Captains BBQ";= euro 36
Good Restaurants nearby= Anna's (an experience not to be missed) and Nostos.
