We stayed here for two weeks & it must be said that this is one of the best holidays we have had - the Arapiou family could not have been friendlier - the rooms & cleanliness were second to none - clean sheets every day - beach towels given out too!Nothing was too much trouble for them - food if you wanted a snack, bar stay open if you wanted a late drink - excellent. We will definately be back in the future.

going back to the arapoiu apartments for the 7th or 8th? time in july 2008 needless to say we not only like santorini but love the arapoiu apartments and the family who run it, the warmth of their welcome, hospitality and ability to make you feel your not just customers but friends as well is something quite unique which we have not experienced in our travels around the world. our only concern now having given this review is that we will have a hard time trying to get our own holiday there !!!!
p.s. get the holy water ready!!!

The linen and towels were changed every day and the rooms were cleaned every day as well. The resort of Perissa is reasonably cheap and all the restaurantsnare very good. It is somewhere I will definately go back to.

We had a fantastic second holiday in Perissa, and hope it won't be our last there. The family that run the Arapiou are fabulous - helpful, friendly and efficient. The apartments were of a superior standard than we were expecting, they had shower curtains, pool towels, comfy beds and even comfy chairs on the balcony. The pool area was spot on, and the small bar did just enough. We didn't pay through the nose for the holiday, so were expecting less.
Perissa is a lovely resort, not especially busy (when we were there), and with the slightly pricier beach front restaurants offering a different ambience to the main road eateries, you are spoilt for choice. There is easily somewhere different to eat every night for a fortnight - probably twice that! The area from the ";end"; of Perissa, by the mountain, all the way through to Perivolos, is completely flat, and therefore very comfortably strollable for evening meals - it can be a bit warm during the day!
It can be windy, not something I ever found unpleasant, kept the heat at bay, however, advisable to have some layers for the evening. The pace was gentle, saw no instances of ";drunken loutish"; behaviour, although there were as many under 25s in the resort as there were over 50s.
My top tips are Bobs Bar (News Bar) for drinks (Main Road), Charlinas (Beachfront) and the Atlas (Main Rd) for food. If you are not a vegetarian, do not leave Santorini without trying the Stifado - simply the best.
I could go on, but won't bore you. Suffice to say, i'd go back in a heartbeat x.

Perissa is a joy - but only if you want it to be. To enjoy this place, you have to be open minded, happy and to know yourself. To enjoy Perissa you have to understand, the people, your environment and the beauty of it all.If you don't, please don;t go there. Santorini, Perissa are marvels in our lives and have to be enjoyed but you have to be free in your mind to love the place and it will love you.
